  3. English Version First of all – We are recruiting only people capable of using the polish language. I also want to thank Nicrolis for helping with translation of story. Brotherhood of the Cursed Interesting times arrive, when demons of the past are woken...But don't worry about it now dear traveler, let's sit down and listen to the story of the old man. On a hot summer night, the tavern's door opened, letting in a blast of cold air and the echoes of crickets. In an instant buzz of the inn had stopped. On the threshold stood a hooded figure, dressed in old, black, torn coat from which dripped droplets of water. Curious eyes of the regulars of "The Blue Clam" struck the bedraggled newcomer, trying to see his face. The figure walked toward the darkest place, leaving behind muddy footprints. Step by step murmur started to grow. The hooded man sat back. - Mulled beer please - said character with the hoarse voice of an old man. - Do you have money to pay, sir? - Hesitantly host asked. - Unfortunately, n... - No money, no beer, now get out, you are making mess! - Shouted the owner of the tavern. - Wait a moment. Maybe he will tell us a story - Said one of the men sitting by the window. - Yeah! If he will be good talking, he will drink! - Peasant shouted approvingly. The old man cleared his throat. - I can tell you about the Brotherhood of the Black Oak. - I guess you mean the legend of the Brotherhood of the Cursed, old man - said sailor and after a while he added - a bowl of fish soup and a pint of mulled for the guest. The host scraping the bottom of the cauldron, pour the liquid into a wooden bowl and headed toward the old man, scrabbling around in the dark. He put the dish on the table and walked away. After a moment next to a steaming soup appeared also mulled beer. The stranger began to slowly sipping soup. The sailor patiently waited for stranger to finish eating. - Can you start? - Of course - greybeard took a sip of beer and coughed - History of the Brotherhood of the Black Oa... - Brotherhood of the Cursed! - intruded one of the peasants sitting near the fireplace - Brotherhood of the Black Oak is an old and forgotten name. The old man growled and went on: - Company history dates back to the accursed 720 When a gang thugs and tenants... - Nobody wants to hear that! Let's hear about crazy earl and the extermination! - shouted the sailor and started to doubt his own investment. The old man took a deep breath. - Not so long ago, only 150 years ago, the infamous Brotherhood signed a contract with the earl Shoret, unfortunately for many lives, the earl was a self obsessed man. - He was just crazy! Not paying attention of interruptions, he continued. - That earl wanted to create his own empire. How he thought, that he did. He sent his heavily armed mercenaries to slowly take over the Eksabon Isle areas. Cruel soldiers killed and destroyed everything that stood in their way. Cities flooded in blood, they were not taking prisoners. The survivors had a choice, join their oppressors or death by starvation. They were not violent towards each other, only for strangers. The smallest signs of disloyalty were punished by torture. These lasted until the soul left the body. On the first day of Tears, month of Snake, 854 year, leaving the rottenness and decay, Brotherhood reached the port city Erbos, the cradle of the Eksabon. The massacre begun... Blue Clam filled with silence. Everyone listened intensely to the old man. - No one escaped from Erbosa - he said with hushed voice -Immediately after taking over the town, there happened a unexplainable thing. People are talking about magic, divine deeds and the curse which has lost a Brotherhood of Black Oak. - It started with the fact that people's eyes became misted. Then the chaos show up on the streets. People committed mass suicides. They were not dying in a traditional way, oh no. Limbs were snap off and the skin peeled off. From a mass grave, composed of townspeople, emerged beast with sharp, long, yellow fangs, eyes dripping with pus and black as night. From head sticking big, bull horns. Unnaturally long, muscled arms bore big, muscular paws, which wielded sharp, curved claws. The monster in a moment decimated soldiers. Within barely an hour, the Brotherhood had become nothing but a legend... But can we be sure? Some people believes that Brotherhood is reforming and growing in strength. What are their intentions? No one knows. Several people stand up from their seats. -I do not like your story, grandpa - shouted the peasant - If you are going to tell it, you should do it in accordance with legend! And how many times do I have to tell you that, it is Brotherhood of the Cursed! And this demon...It was angel which came down from heaven to punish sinners! - No it was bea... - And what, were you there, old geezer? The old man stood up and walked toward the man. In the light of the fireplace pulled off the hood, revealing his face. The old man had skeletal face like skin stretched over a skull, and gouged out his eyes. On his face was mocking, disgusting grin, exposing the row of the rotten teeth. - Maybe... Hello Folks. 4. This is an idea I have been tossing around in my head ever since PMKs were being discussed. I had a very fine draft, but misplaced it. As a result this is a very loose framework with many missing pieces. I'm posting this as is, with the intention of adding more over time as an evolving process with input from other players. I'd like to request that pure 100% pvp players stay out of this unless you plan to constructively add input. Player made republics (PMRs) would be the non-pvp equivalent of PMKs for the rest of the freedom cluster and would serve roughly same function but tailored to the forms and needs of non-pvp game play. Essentially their purpose would be to facilitate larger, more robust social groups and to encourage the creation of a group that has more longevity than a single large deed or cadre of individual players could provide. Most non-pvp large social groups revolve around one of two models. The original was the 'big deed' which required one or a few big spenders to own everything. Non-owners had very limited rights and influence as owners protected their investment from thieves and griefers. Many newcomers are unwilling to join a deed because of the lack of freedom and for fear of oppression. Eventually, the best move off to their own deeds or the owners become inactive and the community collapses. The alliance system allowed a new model where people that left the main deed to form their own deeds could still stay linked with a central chat and had some limited extra permissions. It also allowed coalitions of independent deeds to join up for social interaction. Unfortunately, the permission controls were less than ideal and perimeters were a problem. The desire to maintain an area of open country kept many perimeters large and thus tightly held alliances were very spread out. Some groups formed their own alliance (of their many satellite deeds) to allow access for themselves but would not join others for security reasons. My idea for a PMR would be centered around combining the best and avoiding the worst of the above. It would try to be more than durable any single deed or player, try to maximize the liberty of as many as possible all while encouraging players to settle in close proximity to maximize interaction. It would also open up a potentially exciting new social gaming experience with internal politics, factions and intrigues as Republics grow and age. And just like PMKs, Republics would get their own artwork. Founding the Republic: Just like a PMK it starts with a declaration in front of a minimum crowd in local. Each person nearby gets a pop-up asking them if they wish to pledge to the Republic and how much. If the total pledged is over 1G, the monies are removed from the player's accounts, the "Object is placed (see below) and the Player that initiated the action is made "Doge" (see below). Anyone that contributed more than 5s can opt to automatically be a member of the republic. Any deed held by a member joins the Republic. Citizens of those deeds automatically become members of the Republic. The Republic "Object": needs a name: PMRs would be founded around a central non-deed structure. Can not be placed on a deed or be deeded over. It would serve as a respawn point for members of the Republic. It would create a "Republic" channel that all members or the republic (those granted or deeds that joined) would have access. It would also project a 'republic perimeter'. At the object any player that is not a member of another republic can add their name to a list of potential candidates for joining. The Republic Perimeter: This functions somewhat differently from normal deed perimeter. The idea here is to encourage players to cluster their deeds inside one shared perimeter and to allow larger groups of players blanket control over a block of land around them, rather than a patchwork of perimeters from deeds. It overlaps all Republic deeds and perimeters. It continues to prevent deed placement (see below) and block non-member perimeters. Its expansion is blocked by non-member deeds and their perimeters. It is configurable in size on each cardinal direction from the Object. Paid for out of the Republic Coffers. Ideally tiles paid for by member deeds would not be charged to the Republic. What you lose by joining: Under default settings, if part of your deed or perimeter overlaps with the republic perimeter you would not be able to expand your deed or perimeter beyond its current size without consent of the republic. Reducing its size is allowed, but you forfeit the right to expand back to the original size later without consent. The idea here is to avoid perimeter wars within the republic. The Republic Government: Similar to historical republics, PMRs would be ruled by a minority. The primary mechanism is 'by decree' where a member proposes a change in settings, there is a voting period, and the result is automatic. One of two systems to distribute votes could be adopted: Democracy : Each deed owner and (anyone granted the right to vote) each has one vote. Plutocracy (default) : Any member of the Republic can donate to the Republic Upkeep and has a vote proportionate to their contribution to their current coffers. Both minimums and maximums per account can be set by decree. Upkeep from the republic is taken from all contributors equally, so share decreases over time without additional input. Vote sizes would be available information in some way, perhaps as a list in the voting interface. Any member (even those that can't vote) can submit a motion for deliberation. Voters can cast their vote at any republic deed token or at the republic token. Votes last a week during which players can change their vote. Simple majority of cast votes wins. Possible Decrees: It is the intention that every setting and option for Republics can be set by decree. Each member can have as single submission for vote at a time but can withdraw or change it at will. Officers can have two. Those marked with R can be revoked by decree as well. Those marked F can be set for fast resolution by the Doge. Some would create blanket rules for the entire Republic. Grant Universal Suffrage R: All citizens of all deeds in the republic automatically get to vote. Change form to a Democracy/Plutocracy: This swaps the system of vote distribution between the two options. Set Village Tax to %: A default of zero, this increases all member deed's upkeeps by the %, with the extra going to the Republic's coffers. Deedholder's get credit for all monies taxed as contributions if the republic is a Plutocracy. Possible values between 0 and 5? Disallow Village Perimeters in the Republic R : An option for the more dominant republics, this suppresses all deed perimeters to their default 5 tiles within the Republic. Member deeds outside the Republic's borders are not affected. Set vote cap to %: For Plutocracies, this caps the influence any given player can have regardless of their contributions. Possible values 1% to 20%, with 20% being the default? Change the name of the Republic to ______: Generates a server wide event message. Set <non-member> to KOS across the Republic: R F ? Some would create or assign special officer roles and titles to allow specific players to perform special duties. Grant <member> Surveyor: R F This player would be allowed to start the deed placement dialog inside the Republic's Borders. and set all the necessary features, but hand off or designate the actual deed to another member of the republic. This officer position would allow the Republic greater control and flexibility in allowing its members to place deeds without voting. Grant <member> Doge: R This sets the 'leader' of the PMR. the leader's primary mechanical function is to allow bursts of activity in the government. Many proposals (marked (F) ) the Doge can set to take a single day instead of the normal week. Some important proposals can not be set for rapid voting. ? Some would allow members specific permissions, often a one-time event. Allow <member> to place a deed. F Normally the republic perimeter would prevent deed placement. This gives the named member the right to place a single deed. Expires after one week. Allow <deed> to resize. F One time. Expires after one week. Essentially it allows the deed tool to ignore the republic perimeter during a single resize session. Grant <member> a boon of a silver coin. Used as reward system for good citizens, by vote a small amount can be given from the coffers to a member. ?
  5. Welcome to the Sword Coast. We are located at J25 on Xanadu in a beautiful spot on the bay and have a great view overlooking the water to the mountains. It's a great place for new and intermediate players to call home or retreat to. There are two other deeds nearby and usually always someone in local. Our alliance is active and includes six deeds that are all in close proximity to each other. We hope that you enjoy your stay here no matter how long it is. Days, weeks, months, or years you are free to stay as long as you like and leave whenever you're ready. What Sword Coast has to offer: - 4x4 private plots available for you to build as you see fit. - Our resident spirit templar will ensure your safety. You can go about your activites without the concern of being attacked. - There is a mailbox within a one minute walk along the shore. You can pick up or send items here. - The artisan shop has equipment you need. Forge, loom, oven etc. is available for use. - The community mine will provide the materials you need for smithing. - Ocean access is just a few minutes away for trade and travel. We want to help players by giving them a safe place to live and grow with us and the community. What we don't want to do is take away the spirit and fun of the game. This doesn't mean that villagers won't receive any help, but are expected to be able to complete tasks on their own. What Sword Coast doesn't offer: - Villagers must collect their own resources. However, all resources in bsb's in the workshop are for anyone to use. - You will have to source animals. While we do have some horses we don't have enough to donate yet. If you would like to join or have questions contact me in game /tell skelos or reply here or in pm.
  6. Asgard Is Now Recruiting First and foremost we are drama free. If we find that people aren't a good match we try resolution first, if one can't be made then we find other housing solutions for the person causing the problem. We all pay way too much money for this game to not enjoy it. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Communication You must be able to speak English well enough to understand Wurm Rules and Guidelines when explained to you. The people of Asgard, and the alliance members are all fun-loving people who love to work together as a team and help out new players. Sadly, when you can't understand the language it makes it very hard to communicate. English is a must. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Location We are conveniently (or not so conveniently) located in the far south west near Newspring. On the in game map we are at 11Q. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- About Us Asgard is still undergoing construction. If you want digging or mining skills to work up you strength and mind logic then we currently have both. Asgard is a great place for you to come, skill, and help out with community projects. You must be able to tolerate lots of joking and horsing around in Alliance chat. Some adult content is used. You can build your own house and prepare your plot the way you like. If you don't log in at least once a week you will have your privileges limited and if you are gone for a month (without prior notification) then you will be removed as a villager. We want active players. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What Asgard has to offer: § Our help with tools and weapons (to the best of our abilities). § Plot for you to design how you want. § Horses and Cattle (to borrow until you acquire your own). § Carts for you to borrow (until you make your own). § Mines off deed of varying types and qualities. § Wells on site. § Altars for all three Gods. § Coastal property. § 10 Guards to offer you maximum protection. § Rowboats for your travel needs. § Meals are provided if you like. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What Asgard will off in the Future: § Market at Alliance docks to sell your merchandise. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What we have to offer: § To be part of a community. § Friendship and Trust (open community). § Semi-relaxed environment. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What we expect from you: § Manners and respect. § Someone who gives as much as they take. § Willingness to learn. § Desire to help out and work as a team. § Ability to follow directions and listen to Asgard leaders. § Honesty (thievery will get you booted). § The ability to be on often. Arrangements can be made in advance for longer absences if you make arrangements with Asgard Elders. § Willingness to help out other villagers. § Villagers must be premium. § Must speak English. § Willingness to take part in community projects. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Asgard Rules § You are allowed to work on Asgard projects; if you can't then Asgard isn't for you. § You will not grief other players. § You will NOT steal, cheat or anything else that will cause harm to Asgard, its villagers or alliance members. § You will follow the guidance of the Mayor and Asgard leaders. § You will not mix low quality items with the high quality ones in the bulk storage containers. § Respect other members and be polite. Grievances will be held in pm’s, not Freedom chats. § You will not kill penned animals unless given specific permission. § If you want to practice your mining skills and you are low level you will mine in an off deed mine. § Trees must be replanted after cut. If you are interested in joining our village please contact myself, Harvest (by sending a message here) or send Lucard a p.m. in game. Please don't post here as I don't get notified and forget to check. Thank you.

  11. Greetings friends, The City Of Opulence, located on the Exodus server is up for sale. Here's some quick facts before the pictures and pitch :- The size of Opulence is 149 x 79 which makes it the second largest deed on Exodus with a whopping 11771 on deed tiles The monthly upkeep with a single spirit templar (for the noobs protection, of course) is 24 silver, 54 copper and 20 iron coins. Opulence is maintained by 5 Traders (4 on deed and 1 on a neighbouring deed that will be included in any sale) which averages between 34 - 38 silvers a month with the correctly set ratio (40 silver this month). Opulence maintains a Vynora and Fo stone altars at 89 - 90ql for an impressive bonus faith for the priests out there as well as a 100 power spirit cottage for those that simply must deliver immediately. Opulence has over 2 dozen exposed iron, tin and copper veins on deed of varying qualities ranging from poor to utmost. Many more await exposure. Opulence comes with 50+ buildings, 30 of which are on housing plots designed for use by villagers. The city has been home to dozens of villagers over the years and is a labor of love and as such deserves to be lived in by an active community. Why am I selling? I've been on Exodus since the day it launched and spent the majority of that time protecting the area we dwell in from the ravages of new players, expansionistic builders and those who would spoil the natural beauty of the land. As a result of that we became a community of park rangers and actively recruited the very people who would accidentally ruin the land in order to help educate them and show them the game in safety while curbing their destructive urges. This grew as the deed did and before long we were caretakers no only of the land but of numerous new players who wandered into the area scratching their heads and not knowing what to do. Many of those noobs became permanent residents who helped shape the future of the City while many more went on to bigger and better things all over the cluster. Of course, maintaining that line of work eventually became more of a chore than a calling so we slowed down our active recruitment and focused instead on our own development. Eventually we began to pine for simpler things and when Xanadu was announced we decided to take the plunge and experience the games wonder anew far away from the familiar. Plus I enjoy having money to spend on shiny things. ANYWAY, here's some pictures of some of the waterfront properties. Interesting historical tidbit. This waterfront used to be a 2 dirt deep puddle that stretched from the far east of the deed to the western edge of Opulence and was excavated to 25 dirt the entire length of the deed to connect the eastern ocean with the western and northern expanses. It was dug long and wide and took two or the original founders 3 months to fully excavate and make available to the words for easy access across the server. Nobody much noticed BUT that wasn't the point. We wanted beachfront property at the foot of a mountain and by god, we got it. Here's some pictures from in town. Opulence actually has 4 distinct housing districts. The waterfront to the north, the central city district for mansion sized properties, the serf residneces to the south (best to keep the help on the outskirts) and a new development along the north west of the town set back from the channel. Between them there are 30 houses, most with stone bases and wooden first floors to maintain a central theme for each area. Here's a few pics from cheapside (that's what we call the serf or noob housing area) and the recently added new builds. Most of the new houses and city center houses have large on plot gardens for a little bit of farming should the residents wish it. Those living in cheapside have access to a large communal plot so they can dabble while learning the basics and deciding whether or not to become productive premium players. They also have access to an adjacent paddock where they can play horse whisperer or breed some cattle. Those living on the waterfront know that space is at premium so have off plot enclosures (off plot, not off deed) for farming, animal husbandry and all the rest. In short, everybody has a place to get their thumb nice and green. Along with these smaller enclosures we have large farm plots specifically set aside for the veteran villagers who have helped build the place over the years. They majority of these guys made their fortunes from farming, mostly to me I might add to fuel my priests. The interior of the town is mostly the smaller farming plots but also has two large store houses and a multi faith church for those hard core sermons we used to put on back in the day. Almost a third of the deed is still undeveloped and awaiting some inspiring fellow to come along and turn it into a new housing estate or a garden of eden. This is located in the south western portion of the deed adjacent to a large landscaped central plateau which I always imagined some day I'd build a huge sprawling castle upon and star calling myself Lord Of Exodus. Maybe someone else can do that. West of this and the new housing district is the border of the city which sports a large and (fairly) active market. While we never really promoted the market after it's completion it still attracted a lot of visitors from the south and central part of Exodus and with a little strategic marketing will no doubt become a major merchant hub in the future. Point of interest, those two Obelisks took ages to build and almost as long to push into position. Labor costs weren't cheap either. So that's the quick and dirty tour. For a less quick but equally dirty one, feel free to browse the album with a bunch more pictures. For even more detail, why not stop by and visit the place yourself? The pictures only show a fraction of what's here and can't really show you how vast and peaceful it really is. Plus you can't see where all the trader buildings are and I knows ya'll be wanting to see them first hand before handing over any coin. Speaking of coin, it's time to get serious. Opulence is a labor of love to me and my villagers and even though we have now mostly departed, the place is not going to rot away. The traders make enough money to keep things ticking over at a profit so I'm not desperate to be shot of it. I will sell it for a reasonable offer but I'm not going to just give it away and I'm nearly as happy to hang onto it just to keep the area from being despoiled by the clueless or befuddled. I really _really_ want to sell this place to a community looking for an existing place to call home or a consortium of players who want to live cooperatively together. That said, any individuals that want a private city all to themselves ... your money is just as good as anybody elses. As for cost, I'll see what I get offered. Think about what's here before you make the offer as this place is not just a collection of traders and stone. It's nearly 3 years of love, sweat and (in some peoples cases) tears. I'm not looking to rip folks off but I'm not desperate to sell at any cost either. I ain't cashing out. Thanks for reading and if you have any questions, feel free to post them below of PM me on the forums direct. If you have any offers, feel free to pm them to me and we'll see what we can do. o/

  14. Who We Are Axiom is currently made up of a small group of friends who have been playing games together for many years, as well as some new people we have met here in Wurm. We have a wide variety of characters, covering a wide range of skills and experience. While we may not have any super crafters, we like many others continue to skill up and improve, and also have a selection of priests to enchant and do other fun tricks. Who We Want We will welcome just about any player of any skill level with the following guidelines. They should be Premium or fully intend to go premium once they cap their skills. They should be very self motivated and willing to take on big projects and help out around the deed, especially during the initial construction phase. It is also strongly encouraged for them to be comfortable with use voice chat (Team Speak) and have a mic/headset to communicate with other members of the deed, and take part in our little family. If you are a loner, don't want to work with others, or consider yourself a hermit, this is not the village for you. What We Offer Aside from a fun community with experienced players who don't have huge egos, we are happy to provide you with a plot of land on the deed with which to create your home in any style you like (within reason). We will have large tracts of farm land for people looking to skill farming, as well as sizable herds for those interested in raising their animal husbandry. Our current location provides access to desert/steppe/forest hunting and we intend to enhance the local biomes once the deed is closer to completion. We have multiple Iron Veins and continue to tunnel to reveal more resources. Our bay is right on the main sea on the west coast, and our neighbors are all friendly and helpful. On top of all that, we are happy to help provide equipment for new players, and support higher skilled players. We have a priest from each freedom god, and do regular sermons. How Do I Join If you are interested in joining you can either PM me here on the forums or contact me in game. Don't expect an instant invite but we don't have a crazy application process either. We will have a friendly discussion and get a chance to find out what your experience, hopes and desires are and make sure we seem like a good fit. Building Regulations We understand that everyone has their dream home, but in the interest of keeping the village pleasing to the eye, we do not allow buildings to have main floors above the second story, and only small extensions up to the 4th floor. If you have an amazing idea for your home that would break these guidelines we are happy to review the plan and if it looks good and fits in we'll happily support you. Bellow you can find a layout of the deed which indicates available plots for villagers. The larger plots are reserved for more experienced players, and or those who have been with us for a long time. We also have small starter cottages for brand new players looking to get their feet wet and want a roof over their head.
  15. Radiant Valley A Heavy Role Play Alliance http://roleplaywurm.enjin.com/ The wars of far away kingdoms have effected the lives of many civilians across the lands. Homes have been destroyed and lives taken, leaving nothing for those who are left behind. Seeking the safety of the hills, small groups of refugees from many different kingdoms seek solace in the Radiant Hills. These people seek to reclaim the freedom and peace they once had before everything was destroyed by the invading armies. They will not be hopeless sheep though, they have vowed to never let another so easily change their lives. They strive to grow stronger with the sword in bow while also creating a community that can self sustain them while staying out of the political strife of the lands. Dreams of having a safe haven are once again close to being realized. Basic Information Villagers can build wherever they like the in the centralized area near the main household. The feel of the group is to be like pioneers with separate homes in the wilderness who create a village center for meetings and trade. The villagers should work together and share commodities; supporting each other in a barter like system. Guilds, churches, and politics are all future goals of the village to create story lines within the village. Characters talents (in character skills) will be loosely based on their skills in game. Although the focus of this group is not about grinding and more about role playing, your character can't really be a master swordsmen if the character has a fight skills of 2. More guidance on this will come later. The main story line of this group is about families who've moved away from their old lands to come to the wilderness and set up away from the dangers of war. They hope that they won't be troubled here but it may be possible. Many of the characters have most likely suffered loss. Griefing and stealing from one another will not be tolerated, unless by chance your character is a thief type and then plots may be constructed for your thieving ways. Once caught though, the community may see to remove you from their paradise in character. Death will be handled in character as well. With each death a character suffers, the character will suffer a major scar or other change to their body and actions. We will see death as the character being knocked out or severely wounded. If the character has died more then 10 times in game, then that character will die in character as well. The player will then have to make a new character to play under the name if they wish. Role play will be conducted by using the /me option and describing many of our actions included with dialogue. RP will be conducted in the Local Channel while OOC will be held in the Village chat. (This may change later.) If this seems interesting to you, please contact me in game under Coren or here on the page. If you don't know how to RP I'll be happy to show you the ropes. 17. Interested in forming a static team to scout (and possibly map) xanadu and form a village when a suitable location with plenty of resources is located out in the wilderness. Initial Scouting Priorities are: Botany (Food/Healing covers/Crops) Foraging (Food/Healing covers/Crops) Woodworking (For fire, fencing, etc) Mining/Smithing/etc (Locks, nails, etc) Healing (Many Healing covers for the inevitable aggro) Fighting (Defending ourselves if necessary/practical) Applicants should be relatively experienced in the game, although new comers are welcome to join the village once it is founded, the initial pioneer team should consist of experienced individuals. Schedule: June 3rd Time: ??? A time will be considered once a team has been created, but it should be around the initial release (we will be using alts to scout and once X is open you can bring your characters) Agreements: If you join this journey you agree that you will not deed any final locations without prior discussion with the rest of the group, I intend to be the mayor of the final location unless otherwise discussed. However, you can break off at any point and deed a location on the way if it meets your desires. No griefing. Use teamwork to survive. Leave your personal life/issues out of the game. Stay organized and use military tactics. Teamspeak3 and Ventrilo server available (the client software is required for optimal situational awareness and teamwork.) Comments, Suggestions, Questions?

  20. I am looking to sell my first deed. It's a waterfront property on lake Wyvern. It is a stone's throw to the canal that leads out to the ocean. It is located at x14, y9. I resized it as small as possible to reduce upkeep, but it has unlimited east west expansion, and can increase 2 more north - south. The mine has 2 exposed iron ores. One is a normal iron that I have mined from and the other is a Good iron that I just exposed and never mined. There are also many marbles. Two marbles exposed are very good. There are a good deal more behind section that collapsed recently. Inside the mine is a forge and a small cart. The house is a 2 x 2 by 2 story wooden building. Inside is a forge, an oven, three chests, and a BSB. Upstairs is a bed. There are two large farm fields in front of the house. Nearby resources - There is a clay peninsula a short boat ride away. There is also a source of zinc and copper just a few minute walk from the deed. The Auction starts at 8s. Increase by 1s. Buy out at 20s.

  22. I have a suggestion about the deed cost and upkeep for it. I have found that there is a minimum upkeep cost of 1s. Now that being said when you buy a deed form it cost 10s but you can only use 7s of it for the deed size itself while the other 3s are held back for upkeep which is all well and good except the 7s is not enough to make your deed large enough to reach the minimum upkeep cost of the 1s the best you can do is a deed size 8x9 and the upkeep comes out to 64c so you are wasting 36c a month. and the closest you can get to the minimum upkeep without going over is 11x10 costing 9s66c. which means to max out your deed to your minimum upkeep cost means you will have to spend an extra 2s66c. So i have come up with the following suggestions. 1. Remove the minimum upkeep cost altogether let people make a village whatever size they wish without being penalized for not reaching the min upkeep cost. 2. Or adjust the cost per tile to found a deed so that with the 7s from the deed form cost will come out to the 1s upkeep cost.
  23. I'm a new player. Got my deed, built my houses, trained a little fighting, bred some horses, made my first armor etc. After having played around 4 months and I'm now at the stage where I'm finally confident enough to go horseback riding and explore the lands, to see what kinds of deeds are out there. Up till now I did do a little exploring via boat, but never dared venture in land nor dared to walk around in any of the villages. Now that I'm starting to do that, something is becoming very evident to me: There are a lot of gorgeous and huge villages out there, but no-one lives in them aside from a single owner who may be online but most of the time is not. It feels desolate, empty, sad and like a waste. It makes me question what the point of my own progression in the game is if -that- is the end game: an empty and lonely village. It also explains why so many players try to lure newbies into living on their deeds so they'd have a little life in them. But this is mostly short-lived since sooner or later these new players either quit the game or move on to go and make their own deed. The game needs something to "populate" villages with: NPCs. I did a search for all the suggestion threads for bringing new type of NPCs into the game and I understood why they all waned off. People had thought up grand plans for the mechanics and I can understand that from a developer's point of view, they might cross that out automatically. NPCs which craft, gather, fight and do a legion of other things all sounds amazingly fun in the description, but it's a no-go for a small development team due to how such NPCs could completely break the flow and balance, even nature of the game. So what I am suggesting is an NPC which is something visually there but does not impact the game in any other way. NPCs in different outfits and tools in their hands, doing the assigned animations which our own characters already do, which we could populate our villages with to give them some life, however which would not interact in any other way than saying some predefined sentences like "G'day! Just doin' a bit of blacksmithing" or something as generic as "Well met traveler!". For us players, living in our villages would seem a tad less lonely. I don't know about you, but at least I feel less alone by the existing animals and guards - as silly as that is. Imagine planting a smithy next to your forge or a cook into your house kitchen. How about a stable boy into the pen with the horses, or a fisherman onto the shore. Again, none of these would buy, sell or generate any wares for you. They'd simply be decorations much like a table or statue. It goes without saying that I'd be over the moon if they actually did do something, like for instance a fisherman when planted on a tile next to water would actually start generating fish in his/her backpack that you could buy - that would be sweet. Or other things like what was suggested in those other threads, but for now I'd really be so much happier with just the visual aspect alone.
  24. From what i've seen, there are several roleplaying communities throughout the servers scattered about. This is by no means an attempt to unite them all, but rather just a group (approx. 4-8 people) interested in either joining an existing roleplaying community or starting fresh with like minded individuals seeking the same. Now this is starting to sound like a sketchy craigslist ad. There are a few forum posts about people starting roleplaying groups here and there, but the latest post seems to be over a month ago. We're on Freedom Isles, Celebration. Possibly interested in relocating. Disclamer we're looking for mature players and mature roleplay. I don't mean erotic roleplay. Open to ideas and reaching out a friendly hand to any interested parties. ~Sammond
