  2. "Trade Record, Leather" I suggest that there should be an item in-game that tracks transactions your character makes with other players. Example: A few weeks ago, I purchased some sprouts from the in-game trade channel. It was a good deal, and I may be interested in more, but I have no idea who the trade was with. In real life, I could go back into my check book or online transaction summaries and see who I bought them from. In game, no such feature exists(aside from physically recording it in real time). With an item like this in game, every time we accept a trade a record of it would be recorded automatically for future reference. Features: -Records the name of the person you traded with -Records what you gave, and what you got -Records the time and date of the trade -Option to record manually via papyrus/reed for bulk sales, etc Pros: -Promotes the economy -Encourages individual merchants to make a name for themselves -Adds another book-like item to the game (like the Almanac) Cons: -Records "magically" (could be interpreted as unrealistic for game immersion) -More clutter to carry around in-game So, Trade Records? Pros outweigh the cons in my book! What do you all think!?

I offered the trader 4 gold rings, which it moved down to the bottom window, I then proceeded to offer it rope, picking the rope one by one from my inventory and offering it to him, which he would accept and move down to the bottom window. I then decided to offer more than one rope at a time, re-selecting the ones already offered, and dragging all the rope from my inventory to the trader window when the client crashed with the following: EDIT: So this happened again after restarting the client. I traded with the same trader, this time offering it a different item than before. I got up without completing the trade to make coffee (you know, wurm and coffee), when I got back, same error. I had offered it the item, it accepted. I left, came back, time passed, error happened. All of this without ever completing the trade.

    Cannot move items back from Your demand window back to the Trader's offer window.

My suggestion is to link chaos trade channel whether that be MR, BL, JK, or Player Made Kingdom trade channels to the main Freedom trade channel to better promote a cross server economy of goods that come from Chaos. The reason for this suggestion, Is that Chaos is still one part of the Freedom cluster, and being PVP or Not, should share the same level of commerce as the rest of the servers in the cluster.   11. My Pants Harbour is currently accepting new citizens! What is it? My Pants Harbour is currently a workplace for traders who produce and export goods. Once finished, it will also be a public market, with our own inn, trading square, temple and auction house, where events that we'll promote will take place. Who we are? Traders! Anyone who join can either make and sell his own goods or join the Morgan Hill Trading Company, where we concentrate our productions in one big stock in order to maintain a steady supply. Where we are? Our harbour is strategically located at Xan B17, pretty close to the map's edge, where people can easily travel to and from. What we offer? Tools, security, knowledge and an opportunity to make money. We will need people who extract raw material, produce goods, negotiate, deliver or can do it all like I do! The goal is to cooperate and trade under the same flag, creating a stable, reliable and well known market. Who are our partners?   13. What if we had a system allowing us to know: 1) where are the merchants situated; and/or 2)which goods do they have It can be made through UI or as ingame mechanic. For example: Merchant owner can write goods listed for sale and merchant location.( That can be done using those papyrus sheets to make them more useful) That list can be sent as an object to anyone. (Using that list can add mark on the map for merchant location) And/or that list can be added to merchant database either accessible through UI or at the unique building/board at the main city.(although board can be craftable for more player-involved mechanic). P.S. Sorry if something like this was already discussed - don't even know how to search this subject.
  14. I would like to suggest a pack for horses to carry goods in. However, to be fair I would like this pack to replace a saddle and barding, so that the horse in question cannot carry passengers or armor. Also it should wear down slowly with use. Thoughts anyone?
  15. I was trading some low quality stuff to a trader, two Small Iron Anvils and 30 Needles. The game crashes shortly after offering (and demanded by the trader) the 30 needles. The Anvils work fine. This has happened twice now, in the exact same way, Log below.
  16. I've been playing eve since 2006, I really don't find it fun anymore. I rarely login. I have 13 accounts, so if you play both EVE and WURM. I'm willing to offer a few of my characters for trade. I'm looking for decent mid/top tier statted WURM accounts on Freedom. My eve toons for trade range from 60-200m SP. Most of them have specific roles. Some of them are sitting in marauders. We can arrange a middleman if necessary. I'll pay the character transfer fee. PM me here for more details.   17. I would like to see an additional option added to buildings. Store mode. A completed building, walls, floors, and roof could be set to "store mode" when a merchant is placed inside. When in Store Mode all items placed inside of the building that is now a store, are listed for sale on the merchant. Each item dropped in the store is listed individually with exception to items left in crates, BSB's and FSB's. You could set a price for each item, and more specifically each "stack of items" in a crate, bsb or fsb could then be listed for a "per unit" cost. This would take some work, but would finally allow people in wurm to actually conduct some trade. Why can't I sell arrows, crops or any other resource material without having to place it on a merchant 1 at a time? At one point and time I wanted to be a fuel merchant, selling peat, but that's IMPOSSIBLE. The merchant system was passable 8+ years ago but can anyone tell me any changes merchants have had over the years? Sorry, last min addition to this. Would it also be possible to add "renting" to a structure. This way people can host market deeds and actually pay for them?

After reading another recent topic on merchants, this idea gradually emerged in my mind: How about fundamentally changing merchants so that instead of putting items for sale on the merchant itself, we let a player link his merchant to a house designated by the player as a "warehouse" and allow the merchant to sell any items in that house actively pricetagged by the player. The link could created simply by putting the merchant inside a house or in a way that would allow the merchant to stand right outside the "warehouse". By putting items for sale in a warehouse like this, we wouldn't need a limit on items per merchant and we could have full containers, wagons, boats, horses, you name it, for sale through the merchant. We could be able to browse the contents of all containers for sale through the merchant, but buy individual items from unlocked containers only (so for example we could sell only whole sets of armor). When buying large items they would be magically taken from the warehouse and dropped at the buyers feet. Additionally I would love to have all merchants networked serverwide, so that from each merchant we could browse what's for sale through every single other merchant on the same server. I don't like the idea of having any of those items magically transported to the buyer though. Just this. Through the network we would get the name of each merchant and its owner and would have to find it just from this information. Maybe merchants should be sorted by distance so that local merchants would be listed first. Also I would love to be able to put buy orders on my merchant "buy 12 bsb's full of minimum 35 ql stone bricks for max 95 copper each" or "a barrel of 45 ql wine for max 1.30 silver" or "a full set of appropriately enchanted golden chainarmor" and have these browsable through the network. Whatever the merchant buys would be dropped and stored in the warehouse linked to it.
  19. I've a problem with my server in that if someone deserts the server their settlement remains, albeit abandoned. I would like to enable settlement upkeep but see no way of generating coin in the game. I've spawned a trader but he doesnt appear to have any coin in inventory. Ideally, I'd like for players to be able to take their farm produce to a merchant / trader and sell it to them for coin which they can then use for settlement upkeep. Anyway of doing this? Am I overlooking something simple? Tovak
  20. Hey guys. Does anyone know how to modify traders to give you more money for items you sell, like 125% of normal price or 150%. Wanting to know how to for my own private server. Any way of editing them to do this or any other variant? If anyone knows how to, could you create a "for dummies" guide on how to do it please, would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking for one of these two options : 1. a rare pickaxe and i'll pay the difference (around 2s) in gems ( 1c >10ql, 2c <10ql ) or SP (1s/per) 2. silver to cover the current market value for a rare pickaxe (~7s) : 5s for mallet + 2s for gems or SP (rate same as above)

    What is with all the price checks in the trade channel? Is there that many people out there that do not know the value on things? I would think that coming here to the forums and searching would be a much better way to find the most accurate pricing of something and If they are trying to use the price check as some way to get people to pm them to buy their item i do not think that is a very good idea either. I was excited about the trade chat to start with but it is looking more and more like i will be shutting it off and strictly using the forums like always for my buying and selling.
  25. Not sure if I should start the topic on WTB or WTS forums, but I have 3 satchels full of gems(total 8712.6ql of mostly 10+ql gems), which I would like to trade for drake set (with cap). Armor quality is not important, can be even at creation quality. Black/white would be preferred, but that is not dealbreaking, when it isn't.
