  2. Looks like Indy just crashed. .... Tried to log back in and was told to try later. A check of the forum page shows 0 for 0 on Indy... what are those Hampster's up to this time. ... and we can add Exodus.. it crashed a few minutes later.... .... and now we can add Release, at one hour, 20 minutes after Indy and exodus crashed... ..... possible reason for the crash can be found at.... http://forum.wurmonline.com/index.php?/topic/83398-poor-hamster/?hl=hughmongus#entry831821 .... and we can now add Serenity to the collection at one hour, forty minutes since Indy died. .... and at two hours, 28 minute into the event, Pristine joins the list.   3. The new servers will be joined with the existing freedom cluster when it's time, which I don't see happening in many months. Someone asked if it could take 2 years, and yes there is no set time limit, but I have a hunch that it's going to happen before that. If people on those servers strongly oppose to joining until then and there are no other strong reasons to keep the cluster together that's how long it may take. I think many of you can make advanced estimates out of this information and since I don't have any more at the moment that's what we have to live with. If you absolutely _have_ to know because you can't plan otherwise.. I suggest you.. reconsider We may add some checkbox that players on those servers can click which shows if they're opposed or pro joining. This will give a good indicator.

  5. Water Town is located on the Release server in the top left hand corner of the map. We are in need of more players as some have disappeared and I am having trouble doing the work. Player must be on for at least two hours each day. Friendly player. Also if you are going to be inactive could you please tell me.   7. Now that Wurm is not only Live 1.0 but Live 1.1 we need better release documentation from the dev team. I know there are all the usual "discover it for yourself" arguments which is fine for when new crafting options are added but for what amounts to a new character "class" it is not. What are the requirements for becoming a sorcerer? is there a special ceremony/sequence/event? Are there restrictions on the character for going sorcerer? Are there new rules the devs have placed on players going into sorcery? Can a priest be a sorcerer as well? What sorcery can do even if we may have to work some things out for ourselves. If I am to give up priesthood on my main toon for sorcery I want be be able to make an informed decision as if I regret it because its not what we've been led to believe then I've a lot of work to recover my position as a priest. A small number of bullet points in the release change log will not suffice.
  8. Let me start off by saying the changes that I have seen are great. Some of them are a little inconvenient, like getting mobbed while learning the new system and having to put the armor and weapons back on when I logged in. However, some of the others that I have noticed are not so good. I.E. my computer freezing up and not being able to see walls ect. or the animals that attack you(i got killed 2 that way already). it will freeze then the screen goes white, after that the game totally disappears for a few minutes from my screen. it comes back but i am usually dead or almost dead with no hope of survival. in support, i was told by a very helpful PM that i needed to change a setting: [23:59:34] <Xsamuraizx> Hello responding to your support call. That sounds more like technical difficulty. Disable shader in compability settings. If that does not work, need to post in forum. poor xsamuraizx had to tell me where to look ect, what a trooper! however, with that being said I still have the same problem and have again died making my way back to the last body so i may also recover my rowboat. This all to get my first bodies, lol. Please help, the freezing ect is really getting to me. and its not helping my skills either.

  10. I would post this in the market forum, but this is the initial start-up of the market as opposed to the actual market post. The idea of this market is that it is at a location easily accessible from both Pristine and Sloping Sands as shown on the following map: There is a full highway from Spawn Lake to Lotus Landing. I have every intention of putting guard towers up along the desert near my deed to make safer travels. Even without the towers, I still get a fair bit of traffic from Sloping Sands. So the details... - The market is right beside the water right at where the highway meets the water (well maybe a few tile south of that ) - As of now, I currently have 6 stalls being made (3 completed and ready for a merchant, 3 more almost complete) - I have room for 50+ stalls with the willingness to expand further if it ever came to it. - There will be no fee from me to set up a merchant and I have no intention of charging a fee later on. I want this to be a public market. - There is also a clay pier being made at the north end of the market and I will make sure a tar patch is accessible nearby as well. - I will also be setting up public buildings (ie. workshops, etc) so merchant holders will eventually be able to work on items at the market if desired. Finally, I also am hashing out the idea of myself checking each merchant once every 1 or 2 weeks and notifying the merchant holders if their stock is running low. I've really taken to the area near Salem/Howth's forest, but when I was there, there was no one online.   16. Looking to buy a character already there, or paying for you to grind a character there for me Will supply what you need. (have two deeds on pristine with a knowledge tile.) Would also prefer on pristine, but either works. Submissions Submissions should be made on this thread or with a private message. Deed submissions must include; Deed name Deed location Deed size/upkeep (do not include perimeter sizes) Alliance name, members and preferred colour (if applicable). Requests for special trade icons, traders, mailboxes, merchants or other icons as detailed below. Terrain submissions should be posted with a diagram. Clay and Tar resources can be submitted as a grid location. Do not submit names for lakes, seas, mountains, islands, that bump by your house, that OMFG awesome bit you once saw while you were hunting... The Grid The map grid is 64*64 squares. Each square represents 32*32 game tiles. The grid's x-axis is numbered 01-64. The grid's y-axis is listed A through to BL. Co-ordinates should be given as XY. e.g. 13AF or 03BB etc. Deeds Deeds are given in four sizes as follows; Homestead: 121 to 440 deed tiles Village: 441 to 1224 deed tiles OR between 1s and 2.449s upkeep (not counting guards) Town: 1225 to 2600 deed tiles OR between 2.45s and 5.2s upkeep (not counting guards) City: Over 2601 deed tiles OR above 5.2s upkeep (not counting guards) Any deed may request for its icon to be represented as a Market, Festival or Sermon site. Deeds requesting to be Markets should have at least 3 filled merchants stalls present. If the deed area is walled off it may request to be represented as a Fortified Village, Walled Town or Walled City. If the deed is named as a castle, citadel or fortress, in-game, then it may request to be represented as a castle icon. Deeds may request one specialist merchant icon. e.g. Leatherworker. Deeds may request mailbox, merchant or trader icons. Alliances Deeds can be shown to belong to an alliance using a colour-code system. Alliances can request a colour for their alliance. Allocation will depend on existing alliances within their area. In some cases where a alliance members are in close proximity to one another, the alliance can choose to have the alliance name on the map instead of individual deed names. Highways and Tunnels Only roads which qualify as Highways under the game rules may be submitted for the map. Cave canals may be submitted. Walkway tunnels that fall under the protection of Highways under the game rules may be submitted. Miscellaneous Deeds requesting to be Markets should have at least 3 filled merchants stalls present. Towers can be submitted by grid location. Towers may not be added if their position overlaps badly with an existing deed. All non-deed symbols/icons may be moved/removed as deeds have priority. Only a small selection of 'trades' or 'crafts' will be available as specialised merchant icons. Please do not repeatedly request more. Excessive squabbling will not convince me to add/amend anything. In fact, it might earn you a turd icon where your deed should be. Removals If you do not wish your deed to be shown, or wish to have it removed from the map, please contact me directly via PM.

Hi, I recently returned to wurm and settled a medium sized deed currently 111x98 on release Projects will be decided together but everyone can have private space just to them I will pay for all the upkeep/founding, donations are welcome of course I'd prefer enthusiastic / active players to play with me but send me a pm if you want to talk/join New players are definitely welcome, me being one as well.
