Hello, my name is Szai and I have been playing Wurm Online now for 10 days along with my girlfriend Afanasyi. I was refraining from making this post because watching Wurm isnt exactly exciting but after the suggestion of multiple viewers I have decided to. I have been a small-time streamer for 10 months or so, mostly streaming Dota2, League of Legends and Archeage plus others. I am somehow having more fun in Wurm than i have in a game in probably a few years and in only 10 days, with the help of people from my stream chat I think im off to a pretty good start. I know not a lot of people stream this game and maybe with good reason, but it is a great game and ive met really nice people from it so far. I cant promise tons of excitement but I do invite anyone curious or bored to stop by and say hi. Its usually pretty laid back and just talking, sometimes we break out some music or funny videos, i usually get a helpful veteran or 2 in chat and you can listen to all the noob questions i ask! I generally stream starting around 2pm EST and go until 5am or so EST. No set in stone schedule but thats typically the case, unless i stay up way too late playing. PS: im sure people will ask. I'm so happy to have finally made it back to Wurm online now that it is once more Mac compatible. However it hurts, my old character is long gone and nearly 2 years of progress little more than a memory... I will be looking to start again on Idie's Freedom Isles, it will be interesting to see how mich jas changed since I last played, and if i can find them, i look forward to seeing old face again, but for now I will need help; shelter, Conversion to vynora and some tools to get me going os all I ask, i am more than willing to work fields and mines to pay my way untill i am back up to strength. I will tey to be online tonight.

When it came time for new horse models the community was given a voice in the matter. We were shown a group of different horses and we, as a community, decided upon which horse type to be used in the game. This was a very practical method that left the vast majority pleased, or at least not considering jumping off a cliff. Now we have the new ship models. It would seem just the opposite of the new horse models has happened. Here, the vast majority is very displeased with what has been given. The reason for the complete difference in results is plain for all to see. In the first instance the community was given a voice in what they would see and use in their day to day WURMian lives. In the second instance no choice nor voice in the matter was offered. The new ship models were simply placed in the game, like it or not. Would it be so difficult to give us a voice in what we are to see in game every day as was done with the new horse models? Thus the proposal. Offer the WURM community a voice in the matter of new models entered into the game while realizing the talents of the model makers as the limiting factor. This would produce the positive results of the horse models and avoid the negative results of the ship models. All hail Sarcaticous. Hail.

Hey, I'd like to suggest a new possibility for new playes. When first getting into the game, picking a server is mostly at random, in hope of finding the perfect spot or settlement. Some people however realise pretty soon that their desired goals for the game aren't achievable on the map they have chosen, and wish to switch after only a few hours of search. I personally think that during that 24 hour newbie bonus period, one should be able to change server simply by navigating the map panel and picking a new one. There could be a one-time use limit or something to avoid people exploiting it, but I'm sure that it would help a lot of new players. Before anyone tells me how easy it is for them to find someone to bring them over to the other islands because the Wurm community is so helpful, let me tell you how it really is. If you are lucky, you will find someone who is kind and trusts you with what you say. They might then help you over to the other island. Most of the times though, you have to pay for their time, or nobody even responds at all. We like to consider ourselves very friendly and helpful, which we are in many ways, but dedicating time to bring someone to another server is too much to ask from most people. Trust me, I have had that problem a lot and have only once found someone willing to do it for free who actually ended up doing so and not just claiming he would "tomorrow". There is of course the option for new players to make rowing boats, but anyone who has tried to make one at low skill knows how frustrating it is, and how long it can take, so for a complete newbie it is a lot to ask to just build a boat. Buying one is an option too, but what newbie would like to spend 16€ on 10 silvers just after starting, only to be able to pick a new server? Well, I would rather quit than doing that at that point in time. And player sales of silver are never in such low quantities. My suggested solution to this is, as mentioned above: a limited-used (once, maybe twice, or five times, I don't know) option to navigate the Map screen and switch between any of the same cluster's servers, perhaps excluding Chaos, during the first maybe 10 hours of gameplay. Within 10 hours of playing, nobody can really get skills worthy of exploiting for, and with the low BS and ML it makes no sense to make a new character just to switch between servers freely. Exploiting could be prevented further by adding a complete inventory wipe upon switch. That way nobody can just make a new char, put his stuff on it, and teleport over.

You must be able to tolerate lots of joking and horsing around in Alliance chat. Some adult content is used. You can build your own house and prepare your plot the way you like. If you don't log in at least once a week you will have your privileges limited and if you are gone for a month (without prior notification) then you will be removed as a villager. 1. Remove death tabs - simple, it makes back dooring that much harder, is a bit less discouraging to roaming; this will compliment the large server size wonderfully 2. Don't spawn hell horses... ever... - same as above, and they're stupidly broken (wanna hear a joke? 5 speed oak shelled HH with supreme gear) 3. Fix catapulting - it sucks, go back to the old system or make it actually not boring and tedious 4. Remove the dumb nerfs to archery and armor - go back to the pre-mid-summer patch for these, they currently suck 5. Revert shield bashing - currently useless and an indirect buff to sotg and armor buff stacking, also can't stun people to prevent them from running and hopping at gates and mines; revert it 6. Remove volcano rod - this was given out immediately after you fixed the eyesores on Elevation; remove it please 7. Don't allow gigantic rock pillars to spawn - easily abusable for mid-map deeded mine hops and nearly indestructible reinforced safe mines / vaults 8. Remove animal ratio from PvP (or all servers) - it sucks, it doesn't work, and it's pointless when several dozen horses die in one fight, it increases the down time between PvP 9. Place a limit on deed distance from HotA - deeds will be abused as they currently are on Elevation and Chaos for mine hops at HotA 10. No free-to-play - free-to-play are literally 100% useless for anything productive on PvP servers, they cannot fight or contribute to a village; they can only be abused for safe storage, to kite mob trains into people's horses, to scout local (the deactivated local list is bugged and often doesn't block local), to attack horses directly, and other annoying and abusive behavior 11. Fix teleporting - the large map is going to encourage the same type of abuse as on Chaos in addition to what is currently seen; block teleporting of all types within a certain time after crossing a server border, before / during HotA, after leaving enemy local, and within 24 hours of being added to a village 12. Fix nolocate - it currently is a 100% block rate on all forms of locating when cast on body with no counter (aside from dispel, which is obviously useless if you don't know where the enemy is, hence locates); cap it by cast power for locate soul, remove or nerf locate block for locate creatures and lurker in the dark 13. Remove hunted status and reputation - it only hinders PvP, you get hit by your own kingdom's AoEs, you ping on their pendulums, and you count as an enemy (suspected CR nerf on your own home server) Please consider these. New Elevation needs new fun. I don't think anyone wants it to suck and I think most people can agree on many of these.

I know this is a controversial discussion, but I am the proud customer of one of the challenge rewards that went up for sale a few weeks back. Yesterday they were implemented in the game via ninja update. And since I shamelessly purchased one of the rewards, I wanted to show you all since its the only one of this item in game at this time. So here's my new shinies (: Mask of the Shadow(leather) and Marble Challenge Statue: The fine gentleman who sold me this spiffy item also bestowed me with an image of his "Silver Mask": I encourage everyone else who got a mask to post a picture here, so the rest of Wurm can see! ~Leifar

I am looking for villagers who want to level up their skills by grinding, but you don't have to grind if you don't want to. There is a position for everyone, it's a new village and it has all the possible natural resources within reasonable distance. It is a coastal village, at L26 Xanadu. -
Hello there! I was looking for a good MMORPG and I came across this title. It looked really weird and it said that that was a sandbox game that you can build towns and all kinds of structures. I decided to find some more info online but there was nothing specific about the game out there so I came to the source- the forums. I scrolled around a bit and I was baffled "WTF is this game?" everithing is just so weird and alien about it- not the typical WoW clone with a building gimmick that I expected. I just can't comprehend what is going on so I decided to register and ask the community (I read the FAQ and I got nothing). So here are few of my qestions: 1. Is this game still alive? (obviously, but are there enough people playing to make it interesting and fun) 2. Is it and RP (role play) MMORPG? 3. How complicated is the game? Can a complete noob like me get into it easy or I will need months to learn the ropes? 4. Is the community good? By that I mean are there alot of trolls, hackers, cheaters and a-holes in general? 5. Is it a pay to win game? 6. How are new players treated? Will I get bashed by others every 5 minutes for my noobish mistakes? 7. Is the game still supported and is the community growing or dying? I am asking because the most current info I got about the game when I searched in google was from 2012-13 and that made me think that the game is going to "die" pretty soon. Those are my questions for now I'm pretty sure there will be more later. I usually never ask questions about a game, I just join in and see for myself but WURM looks like a game I will not understand on my own and I will leave it in like 2 hours. I just don't want to missout on a cool game just because I didn't get it. Thank you! edit: Something else I never got is this a free to play game? I understood it can be downloaded and played but there is some kind of a subscription or something like that. Is it possible to play for free without limitations?
