    Yesterday, 30th January I left the path of love on Desertion. [14:07:08] <Stimrol> [14:07:02] You decide to stop pursuing the insights of the path of love. Then tried to change to new path and got question for it and understandable I was told to wait for 24 hours until I could pursue a new path. [14:09:29] You recently left a cult and need to contemplate the changes for another 23 hours and 57 minutes before embarking on a new philosophical journey. So then today I had changed my server from Desertion (where I left the path) and gone to Elevation and wanted to pursue the new path. I see that I am back to Love and have to leave the path again to be able to join new path. I went back to Desertion thinking it might be because I changed servers, but I am also love there. So back to Elevation and I leave the path a second time and again have to wait 24 hours.

This will tame it with loyal status. Cooldown: 12 hours Berzerker: Gives a player player far walker effect for 60 seconds. Cooldown: 12 hours Sprint: Gives the target frantic charge effect for 10 minutes. This can be used on animals, other players and the caster. Cool down: 12 hours Enlighten: This will give given allied players in the area a temporary buff according to their path. This stacks with the a permeate buffs however the level 1 and 2 spells do not stack, the newer buff will replace the older one. Enlighten from different paths will stack. Once a player reaches level 2 they will not be able to case the level 1 spell. Level 1: Range: 3 Tiles Buff timer: 5 minutes (Path of knowledge sprint is only 15 seconds) Cool down: 24 hours Path of Knowledge: Favor Regeneration: Increase passive favor regeneration to 150 per 60 seconds (lasts 5 minutes for a total of 750 favor). What this system tries to do is to make it so the bonuses are spread out more. So in the beginning you have a small bonus that increases as you increase in level Single player bonuses are too strong The bonuses are all based around one play getting a really strong buff What this tries to do is reduce the single player buff but provide a temporary buff for you and your team. There is no other choice but SOTG The most useful effect in the current game is SOTG. Frankly, its game breaking in comparison to other effects The idea is to encourage other paths by make them more useful in pvp and provide benefits for a group of players with multiple paths. With enlighten, the more people on different paths the more buffs a group will have. More useful spells were added to path of knowledge because get info is useless. A vyn priest can cast reveal creature for 30 favor and you can ask just ask people what affinities they have or what their food level is at. Let me know what you think
  5. About 8 months ago i spent 1 week+ and think it was 36 different spots and all 9 titles on ever spot multiple times trying to get either a PoK or a PoL tile on my pond. The whole time CAs and players were giving (bad) advice and had zero clue what was required. So please fix so other suckers are not given bad advice. Maybe the wording does not have to be specific, but should not be so obscure that someone wastes a week listing to bad advice and losses all faith in CAs Also, not 9 tiles, it is 25 tiles that are taken into account (final int[][] toReturn = new int[5][5];) PoK - Original text >> You should be able to create your own knowledge path tile by flattening a low 3x3 area close to open water and creating some sand tiles near by. Once planted, test each tile to see if it's "special" as the Knowledge Tile does not have to be in the center.   6. Please put meditation abilities into a sub-menu so we don't continually accidentally click on them and blow them for the day. Get info is adjacent to all the frequently used actions anyone uses when clicking on the ground to bring up a menu of things one can do and very easily clicked on by mistake. Alternatively, when activated bring up a dialogue box which asks if we're sure we want to do this. I've worked too hard to get this ability only to accidentally use it when trying to do other things and never getting to use it when wanted because it has been accidentally triggered earlier in the play session - with an 18 hr cool down it's essentially blown for the day. Pour water and drop item on ground were put into sub menus both of which I haven't had nearly as many problems accidentally triggering as get info yet these have been put into sub menus presumably because people complained yet no action has been taken with this. Please Please Please move get info to a sub menu
  7. open wurmplayers.db with your favourite editor under 'cult' section is the meditation info. Modify 'Level' to the path level required (ie: 7 for enchant grass, 11 for SoTG etc) As for Path: Meditation paths: 1 - Love 2 - Hate 3 - Knowledge 4 - Insanity 5 - Power Enter the NUMBER - and NOT the name in the 'Path' field. Move Get Info (PoK meditation ability) to a sub menu like you moved Drop to a sub menu - I have triggered the Get info several hundred times - all by accident, and have never been able to use it when I want. Other option reduce the cool down timer to 1 hr so when we actually need to use it, we have it. PLEASE
  9. This all starts with the path of power ability Erupt. Currently lava fades back into rock really quickly and lava has no use in PvE except decoration, overall this level 7 skill has little use for the majority of players. On PvE remove the mag domain only restriction slow down the revert rate (pause it completely in a mag domain so mag domains allow magma to remain for decorative purposes), I am not going to suggest changes on this part to PvP since that is a balance issue. When lava cools down it has a 25% chance to form a special kind of wall (obsidian). Obsidian walls are very fragile and break after only 10 blows giving 2 weight of obsidian each time, leaving an obsidian floor, they have 10x the chance to give gems compared to normal walls (so roughly double the chance of getting a gem each tile in a much faster space of time). Obsidian walls can be reinforced as with normal walls and are, in every other respect, normal walls (not veins). Obsidian itself is not much use as a building material, however it does have many uses in cutting instruments (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Obsidian#Current_use) because of its extreme sharpness. A nice way to integrate this in wurm is to allow it to be crafted into various short blades (knives and the like, no long thin blades since it IS very fragile) that take double damage but work twice as fast. These tools cannot be imped or repaired, their QL is always the QL of the blade component when crafted however they take enchantment VERY easily (50% difficulty reduction). These changes would make erupt much more useful on PvE servers as a power (since it allows access to a unique material and a decorative tile that is no longer transient). This suggestion is aimed at PvE balance but I don't think it would impact PvP balance overly much since the tools are aimed at crafters and not fighters, the wall chance is not certain so as a tactic it is not really viable.

  14. Hi there. I have a bug to report about switching meditation paths and travelling servers. I have just returned from a 3 day trip to Exodus and am now back in Xanadu. Yesterday (17/06) I left the Path of Love with the plan of joining the Path of Knowledge after the 24 hour timer was over: [20:06:01] You decide to stop pursuing the insights of the path of love. I have just returned to Xanadu today (18/06): [14:42:08] Welcome back, Hedgeknight! Xanadu - the great mystery. I have discovered that the server switch has reset me back onto the Path of Love. I am back to the same level I was when I left as if no change was made. Does anyone know whether this is a known bug and if so how to get around it? I'm going to try leaving the path of love again now and I don't want it resetting me again the next time I cross servers. Thanks for your help. Hedge
  15. As the title notes, Enlightening is near impossible past level 7, even if you have much more than the required skill. For example, attempting to level up from 8 to 9 results in 400-500+ fails over a 3 day period. Nothing else you can do in Wurm you'd fail after 500+ tries, even with a 1% chance, lol. I suggest lowering the difficulty of Enlightening, as long as you have the required skill for it. Comments?

  19. Little is known on enlightenment since the changes but recently we have figured out that the cooldown between enlightenment is differing depending on the server. Currently a 7 day cooldown seems to be the norm but when crossing to another server this cooldown resets to 7 days. Upon returning to the previous server however this cooldown will revert to what it was before on that specific server. If this is vague i apologize but once i know more i will post here about it.
  20. The notion is that priests get a little more from meditation than your average player. Some benefits are universal to all priests, some are faith specific. A few possible (just ideas to illustrate) examples are : Path of Knowledge (1) All priests gain a spell that allows them to divine the creator of an object (10 favor, 30 difficulty). Path of Knowledge (8) - Priest may convert favor into karma at a rate of 5 karma per favor. Path of Love (9) - All priests gain double the duration from "love effect". Fo priests get a buff to their charm spell (boosts loyalty up to 70 on a cast). Vyn gains a spell that allows sea creatures to be charmed. Mag gains a bonus to dominatoin duration. Lib priests can now tame without the need to corrupt. Path of Power (7) - All priests are able to enchant arrows at 1/20 of the cost. Path of Power (11) - All priests save fo gain a bonus to spell damage, fo priests get a bonus to buff duration. Path of Insanity (7) - Blink becomes a little more stable, preventing teleportation in a mob's aggro range and on tiles that will inflict damage. Path of Insanity (4) - Spells become more unstable, giving a larger range of results (higher chance of critical fails and critical successes). Path of Insanity (12) - Can, at the cost of 30 favor (60 difficulty), manifest a hallucination to attack a target (drawing aggro and disrupting animal "rage" level, but doing no damage) for a short time, will only work on mobs. The idea is to give priests 15 unique traits and abilities based on their meditation path to flesh out the link between enlightenment and faith. I would strongly suggest that these are all geared towards PvE and, possibly, not possible on PvP servers since I dislike hearing "baaaawww balance" as a reason to crush an idea Optional Extra : A similar system with sorcery would be very interesting, with priests gaining a lesser version of any spell they learn via sorcery that can be cast with faith. Perhaps even granting extra sorcery spells when a certain spell and meditation requirement are met.

  22. Meditation must be the most frustrating skill to level up. At least for me it is, i try to do it and its always fail after fail to get any skills in it. i suspect we as a community dont know very much yet how to maximize getting the most gains from it without failing to get skill ticks. Either way I would welcome a change to how it works. suggestion is to make it like Faith gains where you never fail to get a skill gain tick, and that you can use the same tile repeatedly. or if you have different ideas on how to make it better, lets hear them.
