  1. Can we get a latency meter just like every other online MMO? A simple latency status next to the FPS meter would be sufficient. Thanks, Sqwince
  2. All day I've had bad lag, no one else has seemed to experience it. Some lag spikes last over 10 minutes. Java is up to date, nothing else is lagging except Wurm. Any ideas?
  3. Good Evening Everyone, First of all thank you to everyone that signed up to help out with the Lag Testing. I had many responses from all around the world and I really appreciate it. I have (with the help of staff random number selection ) picked the people that will be helping with the lag testing. People that have been picked will be receiving an announcement within the next 24 hours. If you do not hear from me then thanks for your volunteer but you will not be required for the testing. Unfortunately I am still slightly behind on having the engine ready for the tests that should be done this week and I will let the Volunteers know when the testing begins. Thanks, Maximusi
  4. The lag is horrible. I think it's time for a change. Vote yes if you agree and let's hope Rolf will change it.
  5. Just wanted to notify those who need to be notified. When I enable ambient sounds i noticed a huge drop in fps. Seems sounds stack up big time on the ram, at least this is my theory.
  6. The lag is absolute crap and has been, now its getting worse. We should all be reimbursed a minimum one month play time.
  7. Rolf some weeks ago fixed the horrible lag we had to live with for over a month. I never felt it was completly erradicated as he claimed but it was definitly brought down to more managable levels. The context menues were definitly slower after the fix than they were half a year ago. But guess what? Now the lag is coming back again It's slowly getting worse every day, mostly during the evenings when I play (CET) the lag gets worse and worse but during the days it's pretty fine except some lag spikes that occur randomly. Contexts menues takes several seconds to load, steering your horse can be very hard at times, getting in carts and boats can take several seconds, horses fall trhough the ground into mines etc... It's still not as bad as it was before Rolf's fixing but if the current trend continues we will soon be in the same situation again. Looking at the server graph I think it shows the situation pretty well, look at the monthly graph especially. http://wild001.game.wurmonline.com/mrtg/lag.html Please devs, fix this before it gets any worse. Last time it took months, that's not really acceptable.
  8. It's kinda nice that we get some change for just simply running the program, but has anyone experienced major lag as a result of running it? The only solution to the lag was by clicking on the option that said "When minimized, only run when idle". But, it's been about 30 minutes now and no iron coins as a result. Anyone experience something different?
