  1. From the looks of the Independence Community Bridges thread, there seems to be some interest in replacing various boat bridges with real bridges, as well as some disinterest in the idea. Given how well this community voices their opinions, I figured a small poll would do well for this matter and setup a good project thread if a favorable vote ensues. If you are interested or not interested in replacing most of the boat bridges with the new fancy bridges please vote and comment!!! Note: Only the people with ownership permissions would be able to decommission the boat bridges. New bridges wouldn't technically replace boat bridges, they would just add a better travel option. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 05/25/2015 It's time to re-purpose this thread. If you are interested in helping out with a few upcoming bridge projects, please comment here or message me. Our first project will most likely start near Black Dog Isle. If you have any good recommendations for the location, please do share your insight. Also, if you are a native to Black Dog Isle, I would appreciate any scouting information you can give me about what coastal areas are available, if any, for construction and which of your neighbors I should contact to make sure we're all on the same page. So, to summarize, the first order of business is finding the proper location for a bridge from Black Dog Isle to the western coast of the Inner Sea. Once we get that plan rolling, we'll start collecting up the dirt and measuring out the length of the bridge so we can lay the foundations of the support spires. EDIT: With recent events of trolling and unnecessary drama, I have decided it would be best to have this thread locked. Future projects, whether they be bridges or otherwise, will only be discussed with the local/deed owners that it pertains to and the players who are interested in helping with the project. It's unfortunate to make such projects secretive, however due to the amount of people causing problems and drama it is necessary. For all of you who are interested in helping out with group projects, I will be creating a thread to gather your support for future undisclosed endeavors.   4. Independence Community Bridges A great idea stolen from Nomadikhan on Celebration. If you have any project ideas that will involve the modification of Highways on Independence let's try to co-ordinate them here. I'll see if I can keep this topic with a summary of such projects, either by means of linking to your post with a summary status or consolidating all projects into this post. I personally don't have any yet, but I have a few ideas I'll put together soon. Post up a copy of a map with location and your suggestion for bridge type and length etc and what you expect you'd need. I'm sure your neighbours would be up to support.   22. Hello. Leveling out my deed is generating stupid amounts of dirt. I have honestly lost accurate count of all the BSB's full of dirt I have, and I'm getting to the point that I cant find baby horses and chickens cuz I'm having to start building bsb's on my farm fields, my shop and town feels like every tile has a bsb full of dirt. Im gonna be generating a lot more dirt and I'd like to get rid of the dirt I have so I have room to dig more. Can I deliver? Well, I have 2 knars (1 is for sale actually wink wink nudge nudge), and someone made 43 large crates for that I need to go pick up from halfway across the server, which I am more than willing to rush to grab if the amount of dirt sold makes the travel time worth it. I am willing to work with someone that is interested in purchasing a lot of dirt. I'd rather the transaction not take a whole day of my time unless its profitable of course. Less effort on my part (not lazy just busy) of course is ample reason for me to give better pricing. Buy your portable bits of independence today! P.S.   24. As some of you may know, I built and own the Hunting Lodge on the Grand Steppe. This lodge was designed specifically for hunters and adventurers to have a place of respite from hunting. However in my time on the Grand Steppe I have noticed several other areas where people have terraformed large areas of land to build their villages or create forests. This has been a problem for quite some time now. I'm suggesting, as I'm sure others have before me, that we undertake a community project to clean up and preserve the Grand Steppe and maybe even expand it in the process. Before trying to plan any project of this scope, I'd first like an estimate of how many people support this idea and how many are willing to help in the labor if this restoration does kick off. By way of vote or comment, please show your support or disapproval of this possible project to preserve and expand the Grand Steppe, in the hopes of returning not only it's beauty, but it's hunting-game as well. If this proposition receives enough support, further planning and scouting for the project will take place and updates to the timeline of events will be made.
