  1. I was building a 1x1 tower today and when all three walls were complete and i started to build the door it did not give me an option for the plain stone door, plain stone double door or the plain stone arched wall. (I assume this is for any structure with only one door that the door is left for last) This was not a big deal i just built the stone door and then used pliers but thought i would report it anyway..
  2. Please update Rope http://www.wurmpedia.com/index.php/Rope So that it explains rope can be used to haul large carts up, or down multi-story buildings Limitations are: The cart cannot have animals hitched The cart must be 1 floor below your current position to haul up The cart must be on your current floor in order to haul down This must happen directly at an house opening Notes can be found here: Under the February event (Toward the very bottom of the page linked here) http://www.wurmpedia.com/index.php/Current_events
  3. Hi, just after i logged in got to second floor in one of my house and got attacked by a spider that was outside the house (locked house) and got bite by trough the Plain narrow stone windows. have no idea how it's possible so i asked on CA help channel and got suggested to post it here.
  4. Hello everyone! Let's do something for fun and creativity! If you like decorations join me in this thread and share with all of us your unusual decorating ideas. Let's put those unexpected items to creative use or take something that seems ordinary and turn it into interesting design. Inspire and get inspired ! Few days ago we went to hunting trip in open sea and I came up with something interesting after trying to display our hunting trophies ( that what I call regular unbutchered corpses ). I just wanted to show our citizens and friends variety of cool sea creatures that exist in Wurm. Sadly we do not see them in our area of Xanadu. But when I dropped them on floor in our city hall , I could see only tops of creatures and rest of their bodies went underground. So, I went to second floor of our tavern and dropped them there ... and here is result how it look like on first floor "Forbidden fruit" Tavern, hunting trophies display. ( Eden Harbour ).
  5. If you build a house more than a few levels the bugs begin. I have no idea when they begin but I know at level five they occur. Once anything is started it is NOT removable. I wanted to add a staircase, can't change the type of floor because it "causes unstability" Even if this is on a top floor with NOTHING above it. I made a mistake while putting on a stone parapet, I accidentally used a different type of border design and I can't remove it. This is at the top of the building, there is nothing above it. It supports NOTHING. So now my building is at a standstill until this bug is fixed. I know removal works at levels two and three and I know it doesn't work at level five.
  6. Hi there, I'm T.Legend, C.E.O of Legendary Enterprises; we recently opened a new deed at O-22, Xanadu, and are a part of the now sizeable Rhino Lake Alliance. We are looking to take in villagers, both old and new, who are up to the challenge of carving a deed out of the landscape afresh, including myself we currently have 3 villagers, and 2 templars watching over us night and day. From time to time there may be the chance to earn some coin helping with the Deed's trading company of the same name: http://forum.wurmonline.com/index.php?/topic/124913-legendary-enterprises-low-prices-happy-customers-xanadu/ For the time being player housing plots are not provided, but are however on the agenda for the next deed expansion due in a week or two's time. There are only two requirements to join us here; Follow the Rules Be Active The Rules are Simple: Don't take what is not yours, always check first, any items that are public, rename, public Play nice, there is no need to be spiteful or rude to your neighbours or the local villages. Check all buildings with me first BEFORE you begin construction, if you have to logoff leave the plan up, if it gets taken down you know I said no, if I leave a sign with a note on, it generally means yes XD Have fun ^.^ If you are interested PM me here on the forum, or TsubasaLegend in-game
  7. I created a house, added a bridge to get to the 2nd tile. Then I was doing an addition to the house and put the house tile plan on the tile that is next to the bridge. Decided I didn't want it there, when I try to remove it I get this message. [18:49:13] You already have a bridge under construction. Finish that one before trying to work here. The bridge is not on this tile, it is next to this tile, and the bridge is in-fact finished. *edit* I cannot remove any newly planned tile from my building now.
  8. We have flooring in houses what i am suggesting is expanding the flooring to include a bridge flooring. It works just like the flooring now but it is kind of like a rope bridge and has the graphics that look like a bridge and not just a floating floor. I am not sure how that all would work but it would give us more options inside a house. Edit: I guess you could just allow us to build bridges in houses that we own/are on the writ of too, lol
  9. Sources: Wurmpedia lists ship sizes on the following page: http://www.wurmpedia.com/index.php/Ship Boathouse concept I would like to build (see the spolier): http://forum.wurmonline.com/index.php?/topic/123372-bridge-screenshots/page-7#entry1271956 Outcome: Ability to park any ship inside a boathouse without any of its masts poking through the roof of the building. Otherwise, design the roof as bridges with spaces between them to act as roof trusses so that when a ship is parked, its largest mast sits in the open space between roof trusses. Issue: Based on the above, a Caravel is 7 long x 2 wide x 7 tall (measured in tiles). If 1 storey of a building is 32 dirts, then a Caravel is approximately 224 dirts high. Given that the boathouse concept in the link above is a 3 storey high building, it means that the Caravel's masts will poke through the bridge, i.e., roof of the building resulting in cosmetic ugliness for those who care. Option 1: One way to get around that could be to set up individual flat bridges with spaces between them, i.e., roof trusses. This way, you could park a Caravel so that its largest mast pokes up between two flat bridges, i.e., roof trusses. Each flat bridge can only be max. 3 tiles wide but building two of them to act as roof trusses with a 1 tile space between them means a boathouse can accommodate a 7-tile long ship such as a Caravel perfectly. Option 2: The other issue though is that a Caravel has 3 masts so even if you park it so that its largest mast sits between roof trusses, the other two masts may still poke through one of the flat bridges. Therefore, the next option would be to build the building high enough to accommodate the Caravel's other two masts without them poking through the roof trusses and still park the Caravel so its largest mast sits between roof trusses like in option 1 above. The downside is that you have to build a taller building resulting in the need for more materials. Option 3: The final option is creating a building(s), cliffs or land bridges that are high enough (approx. 7 storeys / 224 dirts) so that when you use a flat bridge as a roof, no masts will poke through. In this case, there would be no need for roof trusses as in Option 1 or Option 2. It's essentially the same as the original boathouse concept except the building, cliff or land bridge would have to be tall enough to accommodate the largest ship dimensions (length/width/height). The biggest disadvantage is the amount of extra materials required to build it. Also, the thickness of the bridge takes up space too so you would probably have to build 8 storeys high just to be safe and avoid any mast from poking through the underside of the flat bridge used as the roof. Option 4: Same as option 3 above except uses a combination of a building that is X storeys high and an arched bridge (with steepness up to 20) so that a 7-tile high ship such as a Caravel can be parked underneath without any of its masts poking through the arched bridge used as the roof. Questions: Since the new ship models are out, measure the following in tiles: - How long is the longest ship? - How tall is the tallest ship? - How wide is the widest ship? Bonus to also know this: - How tall is each mast on the Caravel? Who already has or is willing to measure this or are all of the ships the exact same dimensions regardless of the new models? In Closing: I realize that some people don't care about the cosmetics. Others may just opt not to build a roof at all but to me that defeats the purpose of building a boathouse that has a roof generally. I just think it would be ugly to park a boat inside a boathouse and have its mast(s) poking through the roof of the boathouse. This is the whole reason for this thread, to find the best option to avoid this issue and accommodate all ship types using a single design.
  10. log cabins, having new wall textures. keeping the normal grand door(double door) single door, window, grand window (large window), arched wall. would look like whole logs stacked ontop of eachother with clay/dirt and nails holding it toghter with smaller logs acting as trim for windows and doors. (built irl) to build would require 5 or soo logs, 10 clay/dirt, 5-10 large nails Log Decor, log chairs, a huge log with a L cut out to sit on, or a grand chair with small log legs, half logs for the seat and back along with a arm rest.. log bench, 2 half logs spaning about a tile held together with (go figure) more logs with a arm rest (built irl) have anything else to add? since bridges are done, put them back to work....
  11. Hey, So I have been looking to build a rather "evil" looking town for a while, but even when dying everything black it kind of never looks the way I want it to. That's why I propose to give us a new use for bones and leather, and allow us to build bone houses. It would be great and go very well with the Libila followers also. Below a picture of what I would imagine the houses could look like. Could maybe add a bone door or something, or maybe just like that. Of course obtaining bones would have to be made a little bit easier, and perhaps be a butchering result from certain larger animals.
  12. Now selling 4800 planks on xanadu. 90c per 1k with pickup. 1S per 1k for delivery on Xanadu. Pm Teenie in game for information, Thanks. Sorry deed was sold already.
  13. Seem that now you can't escape from them anymore... I was working near an house, drakespirit found me, I ran into an house thinking to be safe, but he magically entered. So I'm dead Respawned he come to take me again, I run into a closed cave,... he killed me again... Impossible escape from them. Houses locked and ondeed
  14. Our options for fencing off house walls aren't very attractive in most cases. I'd love to see actual banisters or railings. Could have many types: Wood, Iron, Copper, Brass, Marble, Stone, Silver, Gold... Also, Rustic and Elegant versions. This would allow our houses to look so much more complete, rather than sticking farm fences or castle tops inside the house to prevent falling off the balcony. Currently, I'm finding chain and rope fences are the least ugly options. Seems to me, now that the mechanics are working for regular fencing, we could get some great Wurm artists to put a few options together Rustic Wood:
  15. As the topic says, Basements? I think it would be great to be able to build under our houses and create basements. What do you think?
  16. I have a roof patio and it wont let me build trellis's on it as it within house, can you make it so we can build trellis's within a house please can you fix this thnx
  17. Not really a bug but the construction options are not grouped up right on the stone houses. I would think that all the new plain stone options should be at the bottom of all the old regular stone options. Having it staggered just makes it hard to find and more of a chance to pick the wrong one when building.
  18. I am giving away Ariahna's Landing, on Pristine, 5 minutes away from Blossom, on the coast. The deed includes: - large stone house with 2 levels + 2-levels tower above and all basic utilities - around 15 horses with up to 4 speeds. Most of them are old, since I haven't taken care of the estate lately. However, they can still breed and generate income. I used to groom them regularly. - 2 courtyards, one large including the house and one smaller, on the other part of the road. - good protection from nearby guard towers - private mine with iron to last for a lifetime + a silver vein - upkeep 1S/month, paid 73 days in advance - large cart - usage of one small sailing boat (abandoned by ex-owner) - some stored food (lots of meat & pumpkins plus other stuff) There is easy access to all resources you might need (wood, dirt, sand, tar). Great view, safe area and very easy to reach Blossom by boat, horse, or on foot. I selling it because I don't have time to play any more. The price of 4S is only meant to cover a fresh start at some point, in the distant future Please post here if you are interested.
  19. Okay, so figured these stone walls would match great with my slate - only to realize, although I can build them, they have clearly not been adapted to work with the multi story houses. I imagine this isn't intentional? (note the second story stone wall showing through the wooden beam of the walls on the first level.)
  20. Okay, so figured these low stone walls match great with my slate - only to realize, although they are buildable, they have clearly not been adapted to be able to work with the multi story houses... I imagine this could use some work?

  22. I know many of us use DeedPlanner quite a bit when planning our buildings or deed locations, and many of those creation ideas are quite inspirational. This thread exists for people to post and link their DeedPlanner designs and creations. Anything ranging from an actual plan for a deed, to a map of an already built deed, to a landscape produced purely from your imagination! DeedPlanner is a very useful 3D tool and I encourage all who use it to post your designs and ideas here! I'll kick it off with one of my own designs that I had entered into a contest... http://pastebin.com/ZSPac4Sf
  23. Why not a log wall, so we can make houses like this: No nails, just logs and dirt. probably 20 logs and 1-5 dirts per wall. Maybe needs a new item: notched log, made from a log and a hatchet, a log with a deep interlocking dent in each extreme. maybe a new roof type too, made from beams and dirt or we can use the already existent ones.
  24. I think a really neat addition to the game would be stairs. Perhaps have a slope range that could be built on using a hammer, just like floors. The stairs could make going up and down slope the same speed as normal. Different types of material could be used such as rock, stone, and wood. Then you could add a few more Border Tile types, such as hand-rails for the stairs in wood or iron. This would make an excellent cosmetic change, and could really spruce up the exterior of houses and settlements. I don't think it would work well inside a house due to the length-height ratio and the size of the average home. But outside it could make a huge difference. I am unsure what the skill level should be in though. Carpentry/masonry/paving.
  25. I was about to create a roof for my house when I was wondering: Why can't we position our roofs? The top of the roof is always in the middle of the tile when you create it. This way when you have a wall on the tile next to you there is no option to connect it to the wall. Sometimes a house will look pretty weird because of that. It would be nice if there was an option to either position the roof or build different shapes of them. When positioning the roof you would first have to plan one. Next thing you do is right click the unfinished roof, click connect, right click a wall and click connect roof. You can do this multiple times. Once on every wall next to the roof. To seperate them right click a connected wall and click seperate. When the wall is finished it will be connected to the selected walls. Example: http://www.merriam-webster.com/art/dict/roof.htm 3, roofs as they are now. 4, new type of roofs.
