  1. Hey guys, Im very interested in creating a Fo priest. I understand that this takes a lot of time and dedication to get anything back from priests, but id like to think im here for the long haul :). One of my concerns is favour restoration. I understand that you can sacrifice certain items at an altar to restore favour, but what is best and what kind of skill levels will i need to get decent items to sacrifice? I here that making cordage rope is good, but you need some ridiculous level in rope-making for it to be good enough. I hear that you can make toys or something similair, but not sure what these are to be honest. I also here that you can chop vegetables and sacrifice them, but im not 100% sure of that. If that is the case, what skill would i need to raise to quality of vegetables chopped? Thanks, Journey

    I was on my way to the southern sermon priest party, when I saw the giant fo avatar. This was a couple days ago, South western part of pristine I believe. I haven't seen an avatar for about three or more years. I had seen the vynora avatar, was just a standard default model of a character. White shirt, brown pants, and was a guy lol. I'll get my screen shots on here in a few moments ^^

  6. I've got a deed owned by my main, and all my alts, including my Fo alt, have permissions to do anything on deed. They have individual permissions, and are also members of the village, and village permissions are set the same. According to all permissions, any of my priests should be able to tame/charm/dominate, as well as cast deity spells. What really confuses me is that it was working just a little while ago. I used my Fo priest to charm a champion crocodile. About an hour later, I tried to charm a champion cave bug and I couldn't. It said that would be very bad for my karma and was disallowed on the server. I hadn't changed my permissions at all. I checked, and they were still all the same. I tried with other animals, and I can't charm any of them now, but I don't get what's changed or how to change it back. All I did on my main was feed some animals and do some farming; there's no way that should have magically changed the permissions, and even if it did, I checked and all the same boxes are ticked that were ticked when I charmed the crocodile. All of my animals are branded, the crocodile is now untamed, I had enough favour and permission to manage all animals on deed. The Fo alt can still do other spells like Genesis. I've tried reclogging and ticking some other boxes in the permissions just in case they needed to reset, but nothing is working. How on earth am I supposed to change whatever it is back so that my Fo can charm again?

  9. Heads up I am SUPER INSANELY AMAZINGLY directionally challenged. Anything that takes place, you will have to meet me at Summerholt and lead me to where I will be helping you..Or I will most definitely get lost!! Haha. I am a Fo priest with 62 faith, so if you wish to be converted you can. I can come to you and do courier enchants for 50c each. I would also be willing to trade courier enchants for 5 speed horses (1 enchant per horse) or possibly bulk resources instead (500 per enchant). Thanks for reading!! PS. Battle of the Finger of Fo Date: December 14th, 2007 Location: Dark Citadel Result: Jenn-Kellon Victory(Captured the artifact) Kingdom: HOTS Jenn-Kellon Towns: Dark Citadel Whosville Kyara Fort Mole Others Strength: 7? warriors 8+ warriors Pet Bears Pet c Leading up to the battle A week before the battle, Vynoran Champion Chumpy went by himself to Dark Citadel Island, to try and get casts to locate the finger. Using gems donated by Fort Mole, Blackhorse Bay, Whosville, and Kyara, and casting during hours of low population, he was able to narrow it down to the hill just east of Dark Citadel. In hopes of getting one last close-in cast, he logged into an alt to see if the coast was clear, but it was not - Seth, a champion of Libila, was in the area of the finger, and had a lot of tiles dug up. Clearly, Chumpy knew, he was no longer the only one after the Finger. The race was on... Having used Wwiiol to ferry gems down to Chumpy earlier, Wwiiol logged in to try to take a shot at the Libilan champion. Seth also logged in as Sunn to fight and withdrew Seth to a safer location. Wwiiol and Sunn fought alone (watched by some not so innocent bystanders) atop the Finger hill, with Sunn coming out victorious. Both sides now knew, if they hadn't already, that time was short to get the Finger. That a battle lay brewing was evident to both sides, and the White Light assembled those willing to make the trek to Dark Citadel, for what was expected to be a very difficult mission... Story The leaders of the armies of the White Light, after finding out the Finger's final location, led their troops in towards the sullen fortress of Dark Citadel. The army soon arrived at the dig site and immediately began excavations. The warriors of Dark Citadel sallied forth one by one to fend off the White Light force. The White Lighters stopped digging and prepared to give battle. A raging melee developed, deaths on both sides and casualties everywhere. Some Black Lighters were courageous enough to show their dedication to Libila; they ran head on into the White Light forces to try and hinder their progress. They failed. Unable to locate the finger, Chumpy was brought into the midst of the fray, and after hours of fighting and digging the Silver Finger of Fo was finally revealed, and the White Light forces disengaged from combat and headed home for a well deserved rest.

  12. I am back early from my RL thing and was able to get the newest god just before i left.... If anyone needs a convert to any god available to freedom or to become priest then you need only come to Release. If you have a ship you can literally sail to my front door otherwise you can drop a tent on a shore and take the red tunnel to Slopping Sands and then back to your tent (feel free to leave your body on my doorstep, i will dispose of it...don't ask). I will dedicate a priest to any new god that arises. The priests will be at Castle von Cleric (center of Release) or Castle von Gunem (southwest edge of Release) PM in advance and will tell you where to go or ask in this thread Basic to become follower http://www.wurmpedia.com/index.php/Follower (Note Pandalet's method below for getting the Body skill required for all priests) Tosiek/Nathan - Need negative alignment (if you are converting a WL priest ot otherwise have high alignment, e.g. 100, it is better to go to the Black Light to convert) Fo - need positive alignment Priest recommendations * i will ask you twice if you meet these requirements and advise that you do.   13. It is time that the old gods received a long overdue enhancement some buff and some distinction. There should be some distinctive reason to want to keep the old gods and I am not in favor of nerfing the new gods and that train left the station when CC left saccing corn in as totally fine. But i believe the old gods should have something that makes them different. To look at it another way the old gods are losing their followers to the lesser upstarts. The standard "god" lore is that gods need followers or they begin to weaken and now they have direct competition they need to change their divine marketing strategy. Some suggestions are below and please add others. Reduced spell cost for priests of old gods in their domain. For example, Vyn woa 40 favor, but only priests of 100 faith. Reduced time cost for priests of old gods in their domain. For example, make Mag strong wall 60 seconds, again only priests of 100 faith Increase chance or strength of old god passives (just a little), i.e. skill gain, keeping items Add some new, useful spells to the old gods...a couple for PvE, a couple PvP, a couple for both Add a mechanic for "dedicating" something to old gods, such as a deed or epic structure and provided a significant bonus to that god in that area (and significant penalty to other gods, and even more significant penalty to lesser gods), for example, dedicate a deed to Vyn and Vynspells all have a higher chance and power (helps long time Vyn priests, but does not make them OP), perhaps 10% greater success or automatic 5% increase in power to any casts. Or maybe no shatter at a Vyn dedicated shrine say during a certain lunar event. Remove the characteristic nerfs for the old gods (leave it for the lesser god's priests) Increase the sac value for the old god's favored sac

  16. Why do the gods have very little Depth? (and don't tell me there is tons of lore, I mean actual things that can be done that involve the Gods) Why are the divine quests distributed by HUD and not from priests, or champions? Why is it when you go to confession, the task that is asked to perform does nothing? (or does it?) Why can anyone use any enchanted item of any faith and even mixed faith enchantments? Why is bless such a seemingly useless spell? (shouldn't this be a primer to enchanting or other activities? maybe a minor luck buff?) Why are the divine quests in line with their theology? (Fo wants to feed the hungry or plant more trees, Vynora seeks to expand knowledge, etc.) Why is there no conflict for territory of the Gods? Why is there no push for more followers? Why can't priests actually build a temple around their altar for greater benefits? Why can anyone do any quest for the Gods? These are some of the questions I have; I think answers or new content to answer them would vastly improve the game. If I've missed anything please let me know and I'll add it to the list.
  17. Costs 30 favour and has a difficulty of 30. Cast on a tile, removes any vegitation (tree, bush) on that tile. Cast on a hedge, removes the hedge. Nice, simple. Give it to fo priests (I would say mag priests too but it really does not fit mag).
  18. I feel it would be nice to have an option to make the current god colossus statues on a small scale, about the size of the nymph statue so they can fit on 1 floor of a building. Many people like to make churches and most community markets have an alter square with all 3 main gods, I think it would be quite welcome to simply have scaled down models to put behind each alter or to decorate a specific god themed church. I have very little idea if it's easy or not to scale down existing models or if Rolf + team would prefer to make new models with perhaps different poses for such an idea, but decided I would throw the idea out here and see if it sticks. P.S Also the ability to cut down off deed hedges with a hatchet would be nice

This is based off the fact that there are 2 ring slots and one neck slot, I have not accounted for bracelets as they are not targets for these spells: Essentially a set of new enchants for rings and neckwear, split into 3 groups; body, mind and spirit. These enchants are difficulty 60 (same as regular enchants) and cost 60 favor (same as regular enchants). Body (Mag,Lib,Fo) Empower - Body Strength Balance - Body Control Haste - Body Speed Mind (Mag, Lib, Vyn) Intellect - Mind Logic Wit - Mind Speed Spirit (Vyn, Fo) Faithfulness - Soul Strength Wisdom - Soul Depth They are applied to jewellery items with only 1 such enchant of this type being on a ring (only one stat boosted per ring) and 2 on an amulet (2 stats boosted per amulet). Rings grant a ((Ring QL + Cast Power)/100) bonus to the wearer's stats enchantment. (+2 cap) Amulets/Necklaces grant a ((Amulet/Necklace QL + Cast Power)/50) bonus to the wearer's stats based on the enchantment. (+4/+4 cap) These two combined mean that the total bonus can be up to +8 to one stat, +4 to another with two 100QL rings and a 100QL amulet with 100 power casts, not too game breaking considering the rarity of those casts. When worn by a free player this bonus WILL NOT take them over the 20 cap.
