  2. Just had the bug happen again last night. A tile that was enchanted grass yesterday was normal grass when I logged in today. Only a few hours so no way the tile packed and then re-grew grass. This could be a big part of why enchanted grass is packing so often.

Wanted to report the following problem; 1) Have 5 camellia sprouts in inventory 2) Activate one 3) Plant on tile border where both sides is enchanted grass 4) I get the message 'You cannot plant a hedge there' Planting with the same sprout elsewhere, e.g. on a a tile border with only one side enchanted grass works fine.
  4. I know that Rolf nerfed enchanted grass, supposedly because it was overpowered, but I disagree with that decision. I keep my animals down to the limits described in the wiki, but still get enchanted tiles to revert to grass and get packed, even if the animals are not grazing in that area. Came in today to find that in 3 days 5 tiles had reverted in my cattle pen, and I'm still reenchanting the horse pen. The cattle are still crowding on the west side of the pen, but the new tiles that reverted to grass were on the east side of the pen, where they seldom go. Why was it considered overpowered? It takes a long time to get the skill to enchant grass, and you can only enchant 1 a day, so it was already quite limited. And it's not like everything loses it's enchantment over time. I have never seen any weapon lose any of their enchants, nor do meditation rugs. I would consider that far more overpowered than enchanted grass. All it does is increase the daily chores, and that is what tends to drive players away after a while, too mant chores just to keep things up. When I went for the path of love, it was to get the reward of enchanted grass, to take away the daily drudge work of repairing the pastures. But now you have put it back. I understand that you are trying to stop hoarding, but do you have to make it harder for those of us who are playing by the rules? And as to the practice of planting crops and letting the animals graze on that, well, I have huge issues. I come from cattle country, and I know that the worst thing you can do is let the cattle into the fields. It's not just that they would ruin the entire field in a day and starve, but if they do eat grains they get gas, and ruminant animals can't burp. We should be having to stab them in the stomach to relieve the gas pressure. When they grain feed cattle just before slaughter, they do it to add fat to the meat, and they have to feed them tons of antacids. In fact, cattle use more antacids than people do in the USA, just to get a few more pounds on them before slaughter. So please, revert enchanted grass to being truly enchanted again, otherwise it's just pretty green grass in winter.
  5. Hey all, I'm looking to earn some in-game silver to pay for deeds and thought I'd task it upon my priests. First in line is Henzy - he can cast enchanted grass and do basic vyn spells (anything at 50 faith and below.) Second is Rockeater - he's a mag priest of over 70 faith, meaning he can cast strongwall, mole senses and others like smite. Almost able to do disintegrate too, could do it with another mag linking. Prices are as follows: Henzy: Enchanted Grass (80c/tile) - path of love ability, enchants grass tiles so they give almost infinite food to grass-eating animals such as horses. Castable once every 21 hours. Other vyn spells (e.g. Animal's Demise) are negotiable. Rockeater: Strongwall* (1s/cast) - collapses mined cave tiles. AoSP (negotiable, 2c/power as a rule though that can decrease on larger orders) - adds a whole new dimension to armour, turning it into a weapon that can fight back! PM me for specifics. Mole Senses* (80c/cast) - Detects the depth of rock underneath the tile or border, in intervals of 10 dirt, up to 200 dirt in depth. Great way to find new mines to build. *If you can provide sac items on these casts then I'll knock 30c off of the price per cast (and it'll be a much quicker process) I can travel to anywhere on Indy, Deli, Exo or as a long shot Celebration. I'm based in West Deliverance and in South Independence, anywhere near there is easiest for me to travel to. I don't charge travel fees, feel free to tip for longer journeys but I don't mind. While working at your deed, it would be helpful to have access to a vyn/mag altar. Gives me something to do while waiting on the enchanted grass timer or for favor to regenerate. A bed and even a chest to store stuff in would be very much appreciated on longer jobs. While present I can do altar blessing and converts for free. On larger orders prices are somewhat negotiable, moreso if you can meet some of the criteria in the above paragraph I can accept alternative payments such as gems of equivalent value.   6. Yesterday I noticed this. I had put a cart with two horses in a pen with enchanted grass, when I took them out the next morning they were standing on regular grass. I heard some people describing similar. Afaik Horses are only supposed to pack enchanted grass, but there should be no mechanism to turn it back into grass at all. There was a bug like that a while ago that destroyed about half the enchanted grass on the server, so I'm afraid something similar is happening again, even though at a slower speed. There are also a lot of people reporting that they feel enchanted grass gets packed too fast. That might actually not be the case, but instead the grass looses the enchanted due to the bug and then gets packed before people notice.

  8. Problem : Being able to forage and botanize reliably will be, and has always been an issue in wurm. We can increase the re-spawn rate of the tiles all we want, but the issue will always resurface as populations increase. Solution : Allow us to "farm" these items in some way. How do we do this without adding a new game item and getting things complicated? Increase the re-spawn rate of these items on enchanted tiles. Pros : We can now effectively farm our herbs and spices, the value of enchanted tiles go up a bit (path of lovers took a blow when horses started eating their profits...literally). Cons : Perhaps the basic concept behind the mechanic is further diluted, there's less requirement to travel vast distances to gather goods. (some people love the adventure, and maybe this was a bit of the inspiration behind why foraging works this way in the first place) Discuss!

  13. As the title states: Level 7 love path person can use their daily enchant to enchant a flower(in their inventory). This flower then has a 50% chance to become an "enchanted flower", then when planted it will turn into enchanted grass. I'm thinking this should be premium only. Pros: Easy way to sell enchanted grass. Cons: You have a 50% chance to just waste your enchant, and then you may fail planting the flower as well. Prem only?
