  1. HI I live up the north end of Crystal Lake (hells forge / hells harbour) along with some old dusty neighbors :-) Fact is that we like neighbors up here so if you are looking for a place to settle I will be happy to give some directions to good vacant places in the area among friendly people to help you get started. Just PM in here or contact deathlemming in game.
  2. Updated: 19 July 2018 Interactive Map - (recommended) exodus.nesgamepro.com Map Image File /map.jpg Map Dump Image File /mapdump.jpg Flat Map Image File /mapflat.jpg Globe Just for fun Help Page How To Contribute Please submit all deeds you find that aren't on the map and any deeds you find disbanded in this post. Recently disbanded deeds don't need to be submitted as there is now a system in place to alert me to it. The deed will be removed in the next map update. If you own a deed that was added but you don't want it on there PM me and I will remove the name but for the sake of accuracy leave the deed marker. Be exact as possible using the X/Y coordinates (not in game coordinates) or preferably the map pointer link from the interactive map. For new roads or canals an image with an example will be most helpful. Also include if you would like a mailbox, merchant or public trader icon by your deed name. Unlike mailboxes etc. which are just placed by the deed name, guard towers will be placed where they actually are on the map. When I 'like' your submission post it means I've updated the master file and it will appear in the next map update. Deeds needing to be checked if they still exist: Thanks to everyone who has contributed to this map over the years, it would not be possible without the support of the community.
  3. Currently only a mayor of a deed can rename branded animals of the deed. As a deed with multiple citizens this poses a problem when looking after animals. A player can have all the permissions associated with caring for them, including 'blue' ones such as branding etc. However, what one cannot be given permission for is renaming. Renaming is fundamentally required to keep track of animals, especially Bison, for the purposes of preventing inbreeding. It is understandable that the Mayor of a deed has exclusive privileges for actions which are associated with their role, but renaming branded animals should not be classed amongst them. If the permission to even resize the deed, etc, which is directly related to Deed politics, can be given out then surely renaming should be too.
  4. I am suggesting that the guards maintain the candelabras on the deed like they do with the lamps filling them and turning them on and off at night.,
  5. If a building is on deed and for some reason the player who owned the building stops playing, the mayor should have the option of claiming ownership of this building. There is no reason for the mayor not to have this ability, they already have the ability to demolish the building, and or allow other village members the same option. So in essence there is no security issues with the player who was permitted to put up the building up on the deed in the first place. There are many reasons for a mayor to always try and obtain the ownership of on deed buildings, but quite often this is not done as to allow the village member of a deed some responsibility and freedom in doing there own building while living in that village. Often deeds transfer hands several times and a few buildings sit there with no active ownership. I myself in the past with friends joining wurm and playing for a short time then leaving again, along with there building writs. Asking for them to hand over the writ to there first building they put up was not something I ever thought to ask them. Recently I bought a deed and the owner did not have all the writs, I spent a lot of time with catapults and mauls tearing down buildings when I decided to resize the deed, a very time consuming task and such a waste for a nice building as well. What reason is there to force the mayor and members of a village to destroy a building simply because the owner is no longer playing. Quit often the building may be very large, or perhaps so nice you would not want to destroy it in the first place, or maybe a bridge is connected to it or just a good functional building. Unowned buildings in a village leads to huge problems if the village needs to be resized or even maintained, as the mayor will not have ownership of all the buildings. Also just think of the poor folks who for whatever reason let there deed upkeep lapse, they come back to a village they will not be able to re-deed over if there is a unowned building smack in the middle of it. I have seen this happen several times over the years, with people replanting there deed the same day or even a few days after it has disbanded. I have seen a re-deed village with the token very far off to the side of its original location due to unowned buildings on the opposite side where the buildings they wanted to keep along with the one causing the problems all taking perimeter decay. What I propose is a simple solution to this problem, allow a mayor to walk up to a building that is on there deed, right click it and transfer the building to there ownership. Once done the permissions can be set for the person who originally owned the building or the mayor could just destroy it or even assign it to a new villager or just do whatever they want with it, it is there deed after all. I hear lots of talk about making wurm more enjoyable for the playerbase, well un-owned buildings in your village is anything but enjoyable when the time comes to dealing with them.
  6. Precision Perimeter Control Allow us to control the size of our perimeter in each cardinal direction, much like we control the rest of the deed. Additionally, let us shrink our perimeter to a minimum of 1 while still allowing the first 5 to be free. This means that there would still be an absolute minimum of 2 tiles between deeds, instead of the current 10 tiles
  7. Hello, First off, we here on Indy do have far less Lag than Xanadu ? I'm located on Independence Q 20, just a bit south-west of the new central spawn hub "Haven Landing", you can follow the big 2 wide roads to find the place. The village is located on the newly created Canal, that connects the inner central Lake Crystal Bay and the small lake South Haven Lake and leads to the south sea, through a ship-tunnel. Means, you can sail to the village from south-east server boarder, and you can walk here from land. You can go shopping at the C.L.U.B. market, managed by Champagnedragon, just a minute north of my village, and i can also offer help on entchanting tools or weapons with my priest, and possibly help from alliance-priests, which will make your newbie life incredibly easier, and your veteran life bit more comfortable. I offer a village workshop, which has all kind of raw and bulk materials inside, which you can use to make your items out of. (For example Wooden Logs, Rockshards, Sand, Clay, Iron, Silver, Zinc, Tin, etc.) I offer a clay tile in the area, which you can dig all you like, the next closest claytile is at Haven Landing and further away at the eastern Lakes. The idea is, useing these materials you can create and improve your items and skills very efficiently. I can provide some free skiller tools as a starting gift, after short playtime. The workshop provides beds, forges, ovens, BSB, FSB, and of course shelter from the outside world ? You are allowed to use the free, public usable rockshards to make your bricks for your first stone house later, or use free Logs for a wooden house, and sand/clay for mortar and keep all materials you create for yourself of course. I see no need to focus on a house for a new player, but if you stay around for longer time, login regulary, i will help you to make a house plot for yourself. Screenshots i will add later. My character ingame name is Daryan, leave a forum message, try me ingame or try discord: @OsteGames/Steam/Twitch#6175 Twitch streamers, please notify me and keep the chat windows covered. Here is the topic about the Process of makeing the Canal:
  8. In the name of the mayor Psmaster i want to announce the recently created deed of New Porto (S23 at SE coast), which has space to take in a few new and old villagers, who are looking to join up a community. The village is not as big as compareable huuge deeds on Xanadu, and not as lively and densely populated as Newspring, but the village offers a fairly big workshop, with beds, forges, and BsB full with materials, free to use up for villagers and members of the alliance. There is also a big Temple/Church/Workshop/Common Quarter House that can hold sermons and has workspace above the priests! The village has access to the sea, and it has small canals leading through the village and carved into the hillside and going underground as well. "Have you ever been to Venice?" Is the village motto! Lots of bridges will follow over time! As a fan of Dwarf Fortress i immediatelly liked the idea that these canals flow into the hills and then go underground as well after leaving the Venice lagoon! The Canals run underground and there is space in a big cave, to build undergorund houses as well, if anyone likes that. I'll surely build a guest house of my own here and wait for the Carnival with my mask! ? Space reserved for sceenshots later on
  9. I just tried to found a deed on my local Adventure server and it seems no matter where I move to, I get the message: [22:55:10] You cannot found the settlement here, since this is a battle ground. I have moved around quite a bit so I'm guessing I set something wrong when I created this server... I tried turning off PvP but didn't know what else to try... I hope someone can help! I have a couple of the Valrei items I'd rather use than waste Thanks in advance
  10. Greetings fellow Wurmians! So I've got some rough ideas, and I thought I might do some crowdsourcing to see what people think, maybe get some inspiration, that sort of thing. If you have any thoughts, please feel free to weigh in! So the main thing that I've been thinking about is something relatively communal and open. What about a campground? I could find some open, relatively flat land, set up some basic borders for aggro control, then set up individual campsites where people can come, pitch a tent, secure their locked containers, that sort of thing. Close to the water for boat access and fishing, maybe close to a load of abandoned settlements for Archaeology; communal workspace with ovens/forges/etc? Would it make sense to do this on an island, to be more generally accessible? Possibly bridged to the mainland and connected to a highway even? Are there any nomads out there who would use such a place if it existed? I did a cursory search of the forums to see if there was anything like this at the moment, and I didn't really see anything, but if someone has done this elsewhere, I would love to hear about it! I look forward to any feedback that you guys might have! - Perihelion

  15. I am looking for a Freedom deed that I can buy, I would prefer coastal by all means or boat mine access to the deed at the very least. Location on map does not matter that much (N,S,E,W) but I generally prefer the North. If you have an offer please allow me 5 days to review the deed via screenshots. Thanks.
  16. Due to real life getting in the way I'm having to step away from wurm so I'm letting my inn deed go. It's a project some of you know I had lots of plans for, the inn has even been visited by a demi-god. The deed is "The Three Legged Troll", located on the highway (i helped build) in O20. The building itself is a large 96 carp plan, has an 11x3 workroom in the back, plus the inn bar area at the front. Upstairs are 2 communal rooms, plus 2 single rooms, also on the 1st floor is a private room with access from the workroom via a ladder. The next floor has 3 private rooms, all rooms have beds, some other furniture bits but more furnishings are needed. There is a merchant (inn keeper downstairs), plus larder and chests to leave stuff out for people passing. I usually leave food, cotton and some basic tools. Outside at the back there are a few private pens, there is a public craft hall at the side. Out front is a highway that runs through the deed, a viewing area with mailbox and token. Under that are enchanted grass public pens and fields. There is an offshoot for a wagoner that I'll be moving to another deed, but the wagoner container will stay. The price for the deed is minus the merchant, if you would like the innkeeper merchant as well, just say so in the bid and that will be 7s on the price. There are 2 large carts out the back, one belongs to Wulfmaer. Oh and there is a 91QL rare loom inside the workroom along with tons of random stuff and building materials. There is also a small mine behind the inn with iron and sandstone veins. I haven't mined much more than a small tunnel yet, it has a nice ramp down to it mind. Pics: https://imgur.com/a/B3L9wC1 There is more furniture than shown, I just haven't updated the pics of the rooms yet, it's mostly just beds in the rooms. Upkeep is 1s29c per month. There is 16s68c in the upkeep so the price will take that into account. Starting bid: 20s Min increments: 1s Buyout considered via PM. I also have the owner (mayor) of the deed for sale if anyone is interested. Yetian https://www.niarja.com/skill_compare/Yetian I'm not good with prices for characters, but it's been suggested 50s/e is a fair price. I'll be selling him anyway so if interested, he can be sold with the deed, let me know via PM if you are interested in taking the deed with Yetian. He's a longstanding character and has had no issues during his/my time in game. He comes with all his tools, which are all enchanted I think. Armour and Weapon I'm selling on their own (armour is sold). His staff auction is:
  17. I've been playing Wurm and developing my char and deed since 2013, but because real life I can't keep doing it so I sell both for saving them from decay and oblivion. My deed "Hispania" is located in E11 (Xanadu), is a deepwater port (with a lighthouse and docks for any type of ship) inside a bay just South of Glasshollow. A highway leads to Glasshollow or Vrock Landing. The deed has: - 2 Guard towers in the North and South that protect it. - A 4-stories Mayor's house. The house has almost all you can need or want for improving your skills (forges, ovens, large and small anvils, kiln, looms, spinning wheel, beds and a bunch of hand tools). There are many items stored neatly with bulk container units, large storage units, crate racks, barrel racks, wine barrel racks, larder and food storage bins. By example, there are stored 12600 rock shards, 900 slate shingles, 4500 wemps, 2400 cotton, 3600 mortar, 2100 stone bricks, 4500 animal bits, 1200 charcoal, 600 tar, 1500 logs, 3300 dirt, 3000 sand, 600 clay, about 6K food (meat, cereals, vegetals, etc). In the house's floor there is a shipyard (saves space up there and is funny having big ships above your house). - 3 Terraces with crops and animals (horses, sheeps, pigs, hens and bisons). - 5 Active beehives. - A mine with iron, tin, lead and sandstone veins. There is copper, zinc, clay, sand, tar, silver, gold and marble near but outside deed's limits. - A small inn for visitors. The deed comes with a land transporting system formed by 3 wagons, 6 large carts and 2 small carts and a navy with a knarr, corbita, cog and rowboat. The deed has almost all you can need, but condensed in a small space so the monthly cost is cheap (1 silver and 5 copper coins). My char Enderman has level 6 in the Path of Knowledge and good level in many crafting skills: https://www.niarja.com/skill_compare/Enderman Some rares and interesting items included in this sale: I sell both together and will consider your offers by PM.

  19. As I was trying to enchant grass for a neighbor, I had an idea for something that would be really helpful. Several times I've had the experience of trying to help someone and them having trouble trying to figure out how to give me permissions to do what they'd like me to do. So here's an idea... If someone with the ability to modify deed permissions (called the mayor henceforth) is present (within a certain number of tiles - should be fairly close to prevent annoyance) and they have allowed this permission request: Then when the visitor attempts something not allowed, the mayor will get a popup window that details the action attempted, permission required, and asks for a response permit once permit for x:xx time disallow do not pester me for this action/person again To make a change permanent, click here to open the deed permission management window This would allow newbies to get help without spending an hour figuring out how to let someone help them... probably a lot of things I haven't thought of with this... but it seems like it'd be helpful to everyone. 20. Is there a significant difference in the amount of decay my ship will experience over time when Moored off-deed versus on-deed? Trying to decide if it's worth it to include shoreline in Deed for one or two ships, or just repair and improve from time to time? Thank you for your time and assistance.
  21. I have a large deed for sale. As of today Jan 3, 2016 The size of Hammerfell is 27 by 41. The upkeep will last approximately 395 days, 9 hours and 40 minutes more. The settlement has 31 silver, 26 copper and 51 iron in its coffers. The settlement is granted the following faith bonuses: War (0) damage: 0% CR: 0%, Healing (0): 0%, Enchanting (0): 0%, Rarity window: 0 bonus seconds These bonuses will decrease by 15% per day. The tile per creature ratio of this deed is 16.522388. Optimal is 15.0 or more. This is a good figure. Hammerfell is a non-democracy. This means your citizenship can be revoked by any city officials such as the mayor. The deed is built up from the ocean and looks over the ocean for many many tiles. It is completely level. It has a castle that is 9 stories 7 by 7 tiles square There are four house homes, three other buildings The village walls are one tile wide and two stories high around the entire perimeter of the deed with portcullis entrances. There are a few places that need finished walls on the second floor. The top of the walls has fencing around so you won't fall off Hammerfell is on the western ocean at G10 water is on three sides, it has a inlet with a bay, off deed there are two fenced areas with orchards of olive, apple, cherry and lemon trees. Two 80ql towers with max guards. Under the deed is a mine with a fountain for water several forges and several iron mines, copper, silver and lead. Down the road is an off deed mine with gold Deed comes with furniture There are several 4 to 5 speed horses, cows, bulls, bison, and sheep. Plenty of open deeded land to have farms and more houses This is two years of work. You won't find much nicer yet there is room for you to add your own touches and ideas. I would like to get 150 silver or $150 USD for this deed. As you can see there is 31 silver in the token so I am not asking as much as that sounds. You can breed the horses and sell the high speed offspring. Text me ingame Annalise, or email here in the forums.
  22. Does anyone know who owns the deed Moonlight Marina? It's a shoreline deed on centre south Indy. I've looked at the token, but it looks like it's an alt officially holding the deed. If anyone knows who the owner is, please let me know! I'm trying to get in contact with them
  23. As I continue work with the Ultima Nostalgia project (in which the entire server is one huge deed), I'm getting more and more requests on YouTube and elsewhere from people who would like to live in their own house on the server. I suspect that a lot of these people are Ultima players who have never tried Wurm before but who would be willing to buy Wurm Unlimited to live in a place that looks like UO and is populated by other Ultima fans. Obviously, since they've never played Wurm they don't really understand how deeds work. So I've tried to explain the problems of letting them live there. This got me to thinking about permissions. We can set permissions to houses, carts, boats, fences, mounts etc. But what if we could right click and set permissions to TILES that are within one's deed? This way, deed owners could: Create various empty plots - allowing "anything goes" so players could build a house from ground up, farm etc and anything they wished - so sort of like a mini deed inside a deed. Create a public mine that allows players to mine and pick up ore, but doesn't allow them to load a forge onto a cart Create wood chopping forests, keeping the forests and trees of the rest of the deed safe. Create public farming land And I'm sure there are many uses that I'm not even realizing at this point It would be up to the deed owner to mark these areas somehow with fences or signs Right click tile... Set permissions from a popup Coordinates of tile can be seen in the title to ease remote management Tile could be named to better keep track of which set of tiles (Plot 1, Plot 2, Public forest, Public mine etc) they belong to PS: Before posting this, I checked to see if there were any other similar posts, and I'd just like to point out that Enigma_Prime is suggesting something similar. Please go and check out Enigma's post as well. I decided to make a separate thread about this since what I'm asking for is slightly different, has different mechanics etc
  24. Added a newbie to the deed and right after accepting the invitation to join he got the option 'Do you want to teleport to (deedname) now?' I think this is an awesome addition. Thanks.
