  1. I’ve noticed highways on established/veteran servers tend to be a bit chaotic/organic and at times, not easy to navigate. Because of the odd shape and wide bodied water ways on Melody, would it be beneficial to start discussing proposed land routes across the map? Roaming the map, it appears people have begun their own highway sections to accommodate their own deeds and needs. Factoring in map terrain elevations, shortest possible routes and contribution from the community villages surrounding these possible highway locations, what’s the best way to coordinate this plan and what proposals do you have to bring to the table in order to begin construction once people are satisfied with their deed situations? I know this is not a simple question or discussion but one I thought people might be intrigued to start thinking about.

Hello fellow Melodites! The topic has been brought up a few times about the need to get Melody residents connected with recruitment, commerce, services, community projects, mayor contacts, organized events and more! My neighbor and I have setup such a Discord server and are encouraging all those who want to advertise, mingle search for players and be known within the Melody server community. A list of channels/features we have setup: - Wurm Online information dump channel with a full list of current online resources and tools. - Community Projects are non-personal deed related projects that contribute to the server. Roadways, highways, tunnels, water ways/canals and structures built by players. If you have such a project that you'd like to post assistance, please add the type of project, location, proposals and what labor/material services are needed.Community projects channel. - A list of deed/settlement mayors who join the discord. - Streamer and content creator advertising channel so people know when your content is live. - Village recruitment for those looking to join or recruit for an established deed. - Marketplace to move your product: WTS - Wanting To Sell / WTB - Wanting To Buy / WTT - Wanting to Trade / PC - Price Check specifically for Melody. - Services channel provides a place to look for and advertise your labored work. Looking for skilled up? Want to advertise your own services? We got a channel for that. - Deed Planner gallery posting and design services so people can get great design ideas from great visionaries! - Bot support for spam, role assignment and XP. All users are auto assigned a citizen role, mayors and content creators get a special role with verification and GM's / forum moderators get their own role when verified as well. https://discord.gg/gzxUUeP
  3. Verdant Bay is recruiting new and experienced players to add to a thriving village on the Harmony map. We are focused on our deed on Harmony, with possible plans to expand to PVP in the future. However, we will not lose sight of our plans on Harmony. We are located at N19, on the coast east of Harmony Bay, and our deed is among the largest on the server. We want to build a community where you are free to do what you like, but also to pitch in for group projects. No task is mandatory, though we are looking for team players who put others before their own profit. Our upkeep is paid for over six months, and contributions of silver are not mandatory for upkeep. We ask that any prospective villagers join our Discord and have a sincere discussion with our leadership over text or voice. Voice chat is not mandatory and we have organised text channels that keep our deed running well. Verdant Bay is in the initial stages of planning an impalong and was proud to cast the first Rite of Spring on Harmony! Hope all the Vyns enjoyed the sleep bonus! We want to give back to the server as we foster a friendly environment, whether you are on our deed or not. Feel free to join our “Friends of Verdant Bay” Discord here: https://discord.gg/YxGDwCK By joining the above Discord, you will receive updates on upcoming events, be able to stay in touch with us, or you can contact one of our friendly recruiters if you are considering joining our village. Hope to see you there! - Wyncote, new mayor of Verdant Bay Notice: Our former mayor, Phennexion aka Phenne, has taken a step back to spend more time IRL. Our village has over one hundred citizens, and it is a lot to manage. He’s still an officer on the deed, and we’re glad of that. Message Wyncote, Phenne or any other officer listed on the Discord with questions. Welcome to Verdant Bay Video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mxWNB8l7ZuY

  5. Welcome to Elysium, A determined and inspiring crusade. A Kingdom of those who wish to achieve all that Wurm has to offer. Come be a part of a serious and sophisticated community striving for excellence. We pride ourselves in being an inviting down to earth people, who are united and stand as one! Our Mission is a simple one : Achieve Greatness Whether that means conquering all the land and bringing peace to the players, or building grand cities with impressive and intimidating structures that tower over our enemies. Key features of our group include: Structured systems and building placement strategy that allows PvPers to have more of a PvP setting and PvEers to have more of a safe haven for crafting and skilling. Council of 5 Members to take all of our members opinions and inputs into account when making decisions that affect the entire Kingdom Ranking System Forums (For all questions, Trading and Event Info) Diverse group accepting of all regions and play styles What we are looking for Dedicated/Committed players Players who can be respectful and accept opinions of others Players who want to have a great time and enjoy all that Wurm has to offer Code of Conduct: Respect others. Treat all other players with dignity and respect. Be respectful of other members of Elysium, their abilities, their contributions, and any extra duties they perform to keep the kingdom running. We all play to have fun. Don't ruin it for other people. It is you, and not the kingdom Leader, who is primarily responsible for whether you are having fun or not. Be mature. Immature and infantile behavior is not tolerated. This is a kingdom of adults, so make sure you act like it. You are part of Elysium. We succeed as a group, not as individuals. Self-centered and self-absorbed attitudes are not helpful. Not everyone will get along with everyone else. That's life. Not everyone will agree with everyone else. In time we hope this to be a large community and conflict will inevitably arise. As adults, members are expected to either try to resolve disagreements with other players civilly, privately and independently. Failing that, try to work around it. Approach a council member for assistance if you have exhausted all other options. Drama will not be tolerated. Disagreements or other behaviors which become disruptive are unacceptable. Elysium rules will inevitably change over time. Members are expected to accept and adhere to new rules regardless of their personal opinions. Be mindful that the kingdom Leadership tries to make decisions that are best for the kingdom as a whole and for the long term, which may not necessarily correspond to the best decision for you personally right now. Constructive feedback and discussion on all aspects of the guild and raiding is always welcome. Complaints should not be made unless accompanied by alternative proposals. All feedback and discussion should respect this Code of Conduct. Read the forums. The forums are the main way of communicating important information (as well as a lot of trivial kingdom information). Most importantly, changes to strategies and announcements are made there. It is your responsibility to check the forums regularly and stay apprised of any important information. Do not engage in any activity that will bring the Elysium name into disrepute. Behaviors such as spamming, trolling, ninjaing, begging, flaming, or other anti-social actions are not acceptable. Do not use excessive, gratuitous or explicit language. Justifiable mature language and conversation is to be accepted in a kingdom of adults. Politics, religion, and similarly divisive topics are embargoed. Abusive, threatening, discriminatory, or prejudicial behavior of any form is expressly forbidden and will be met with immediate expulsion from the guild. Intentionally vexatious, obstructive, malicious, hostile, aggressive, or insulting behavior is not acceptable. Follow the Elysium Rules and Code of Conduct at all times. This creates the infinite recursive loop of order. Rules of Engagement: Every Player is expected to do their best. We are not a hardcore kingdom, but we intend to make the most of our experience and so have high expectations of our players. Everyone should strive to give their best when doing most content. The Council are the ultimate decision makers. Follow their directions/intent. The council will discuss all concerns and use best judgement to render decisions that will best benefit the kingdom at all times. Be punctual. When attending a prior scheduled event, we ask that you are on time or send a message to the group lead if you will be late. Common courtesy rules apply here. Positive criticism is a good thing. Members should feel free to give advice and suggestions to other players to improve their play. Equally, Members should view any positive criticism as an opportunity to improve. 7. If you feel that something in your area is worthy of being preserved for others, do your part in being an altruistic repairman or repairwoman. 🙈 Examples: I like to repair every guard tower I come across, because a lot of folks benefit from them. Some towers in the deep wilderness haven't been repaired for months and months. One such tower could save the life of a hapless newbie, who'll go on to build guard towers of his own...and so on, and so forth. 😜 There's a lovely canal I often use, with a very original design. All of the lamps, candelabras, braziers, statues will vanish in a few months, unless someone repairs them. (If this is already a default for folks, forgive me for assuming that players don't care enough about these things.)
  8. Hello everybody, The last time I played Wurm was about 2+yrs ago, prior to selling Jotz and Timeli, and I'm thinking about returning. I'm currently playing around on an Alt, just for the time being, and was wondering if there were any Alliances out there that have a highly active member base that were recruiting. I don't personally mind the village activity, as long as there is a handful of people going on in the Alliance itself to talk with! I'd love for anyone to leave me a message here, over PM, or if you want to add me on Discord: Yela#0001 What can I bring to the table? Canadian Friendliness Goofball Shenanigans 95+ Channeling Vynora Appreciate everyone taking the time to take a look at this, and if you aren't on Xanadu but are part of a highly active alliance, just send me a PM! Only posting this on Xanadu as I was most active here last time, but have no qualms moving somewhere else! Edit: West Coast Canadian | Play Times: 2PM - 8PM Weekdays , 12PM - ??AM Weekends. (Rough play times for UTC -8)
  9. I played Wurm Online for a year or so a while back and recently picked up Wurm Unlimited so that I could have a blank map all to myself and not have to spend hours looking for a suitable spot that wasn't already settled. So now I'm going solo-dolo without the help of a village. I'm looking for input as to where to focus during the beginning so I can make sure I have a firm base of operations. In WO I would normally make a bee-line to an established village and work in conjuction with them (farm the fields, gather iron, then collect from communal resources to build my house). However my goal is to stay solo as long as possible so that I have an established area and then open it up to the public. Please give me any suggestions on how you would personally go about this task. Current gameplan: 1) Find a wooded area near the shore 2) Place down tent and hunt nearby game to have a small food stash 3) Gather basic crops and create a small (4x4) field to have renewable food 4) Put all my efforts into building a rowboat 5) Pack-up and sail nomadically until I find the "Promised Land" (Area with all resources relatively near ie iron, wood, water, clay, tar) 6) Place tent again 7) Begin creating farmstead 8) Deed the land and expand deed to be large enough to support a village 9) Create basic communal workshop, dock, and farmland (Possibly designate lots of land for villagers) 10) Open world to the public My biggest concern is I know how to accomplish 1-7, even if it will be slow going especially trying to find an area that not only has resources but that could also support a village worth of resources. How large of an area should I be looking to deed? Is it worthwhile to build the communal buildings ahead of time and risk over-building or is it better to add things as the village grows? What should I be looking to build in order to support a community so far the villages I join have a mine, workshop, farm, and animal pen, but I've seen some that have communal housing and others that had the layouts of legitimate cities with shops, churches, jails, etc. Finally, my intent is to make it a water-side village and as such I'd rather not build a highway to my village but rather make it as close to exclusively accessible by water as I can, I know that will hamper my efforts greatly but maybe build a few boats at the starter towns and give directions?
  10. Hello everyone, as many of you know, The Crusaders have had to replace their artwork due to a copyright claim, as explained in the PSA below posted a little over a week ago: https://forum.wurmonline.com/index.php?/topic/168873-wsa-crusader-kingdom-graphics/ In light of this, The Crusaders have decided to host a public community-wide poll on our PMK artwork. Since a large amount of the Wurm player-base has purchased and/or acquired our kingdom merchandise, we thought it was only fair that everyone would have a say in what direction our artwork will head. Below are four different options that, after meticulous designing and revisioning, The Crusaders have decided to post up for public vote. Each design was placed into Wurm Unlimited in an attempt to give a fair representation of what the final outcome would be in-game. The Military Tent and Tabard has yet to be designed, but one will be created in similar style to the winning Kingdom Set. I hope you all are just as excited to vote on the artwork as we are! One of each Kingdom Item will be given out to a voter at random, so be sure to vote in the poll above! Below are the choices: Kingdom Set #1 Kingdom Set #2 Kingdom Set #3 Kingdom Set #4 We are also giving the chance to vote on a mix. If you would like to see various portions of these PMK items, please vote for I Would Like A Mix, and mention which below! The Winning Design(s) will be selected to be added, but slight changes may be necessary to ensure proper aesthetics in-game. Again, thank you all for your patience and support while we go through this PMK re-skinning, and we hope you enjoy having your opinions heard! Polls close in roughly a week from this post, about 6PM Central US on 03/20/2019. - Xallo / The Crusaders
  11. Please PM me with any requests for features. Right now I'm still learning the tools, so I can't do everything. http://wurmpristine.pcriot.com/map/ The rules for adding a deed have not changed. They are listed below. Please read the following rules/guidelines before you post: You may only submit deeds that belong to you, or that you have explicit permission to submit. Submitting purposely erroneous entries will result in me ignoring anything you submit in the future. Tar and clay pits that are submitted to the map must be usable by newbies and the general public (Generally at least 2x2 tiles, and flat.) Mailboxes must be accessible by anyone who wants to use it. Please submit changes using the community map X/Y grid. Images pointing out the exact location on the map are welcome. You are encouraged to: Report disbanded deeds that are still on the map Submit newly constructed public highways for inclusion on the map. Submit public tar and clay pits.
  12. I've spoken with Shmeric and expressed my interest in helping move this project forward as many of you have shown a great desire to help as well. He's agreed to that partnership, so here we are! Shmeric has already laid a chunk of the ground work as far as planning goes and the dropping of many dirts. I'm going to be surveying the area as well, just to make clear the plans in my mind. The way I see it we can split this into three teams, so if you're interested in helping please leave a comment and we'll go from there. The team focal points would be as follows: Dirt placement/allocation: this is pretty obvious as the team would mostly be comprised of players who don't mind dropping dirt in marked locations for building the dirt spires to connect bridge segments. This doesn't mean you have to bring a crap ton of dirt to the project, but if you'd like to that is very much appreciated. We'd also appreciate anyone who is able to pick-up and deliver dirt to the desired drop points. Highway routing: again, pretty obvious--this team would survey the end points of the bridge and design a route to connect the bridge to any main highway in the region, and then build those paths. Please be kind to your neighbors living in the region in which you want to route the highway through; the best policy is asking permission before putting your shovel to the dirt. Bridge construction: if you're interested in helping with the project but don't want to join until the construction bit that is perfectly fine. This team will be responsible for planning the bridge segments, aqcuiring the materials to build those segments, and then, of course, building the bridge! Note: Teams aren't limited to the slots listed below; that's just a placeholder, of sorts. Terraforming Team: Highway Team: Veste (Nefer) Ostentatio Construction Team: Neenee Thorakkanath As far as materials go I'll get a count up here as soon as I can. Please leave a comment if you're interested in joining the efforts, whether that be to join a team or just to donate materials! We want to make sure we credit all those who help out as well. If you have high skills to help out in any of these areas include that info as well! P.S. Participate in the poll above to let us know what type of bridge you want to Newspring! P.S.S. Keep in mind that flat bridges will require more bricks and mortar due to having support pillars. Here's a sample of what the bridges might look like if arched or flat. Both images are of marble because the stone texture was giving me errors in DeedPlanner, so just imagine the white is also grey! Update: A whopping 58% of the voters would like to see an arched bridge for this project (as of right now) so we're going to go ahead and name that type the winner. Each type has its own value, obviously, but arched will also make this project less demanding on resources such as bricks and mortar. Now to determine the material type...
  13. Ok I've not posted this in the idea section as it's not an idea for change or addition in mechanics but more a community event to ponder. now it could be laughed right out the door and we leave it there. yet I've been thinking an untapped aspect to wurm is it's social aspect. and in these meanderings of thought I had pondered the notion of a Xanadu Trail, harkening some US history of the new frontier being settled and what has come to be known as the Oregon Trail. Here is where itchy feet settlers in hopes to start their dreams and homesteading of government given land to settle the "wild west'. I was thinking of an overlay on map of informal route to be traced from one starter deed that wound through each of the starter deeds ending at the last one reached. players, preferably new players would set out on food with one guide (prem player that can command large cart) that has bull mounted large cart , they all build at the start, allowed to lead one cow for milk and cheese. and over a week and half period you traverse this trail setting up campfires, cooking, sharing stories, tenting and bedding down til next leg of the trip. perhaps larges chests are set out with keys given to participants at the onset which will have goodies stashed in it along they way. Upon successful completion a full sent of tools given to the voyagers to then set out with a basic lay of the land and the creatures within it. crafting and hunting can happen at each way point. This wold take a group to host/sponsor this endeavor and guides to take time out of their play to lead. I"m floating this out there as a social event to enhance game experience for new and skilled player alike , a way to explore the map, and to have yet another ongoing group social activity. I'd like to hear opinions and ideas about this in terms of interest create, feasibility, or if it's just a silly idea.
  14. What is the next big thing going on for Xanadu? Anyone have any new ideas for a Fall or Spring event to start doing? Personally I would like to start seeing groups go out together to do missions, People who are trying to get up Karma, or people who need their Village Perks increased. I also would like to know if there are any Community building events going on? I recently got Carp up to 50 so I'd like to put it to good use... Please Comment Ideas, Thoughts, Plans, Dreams, or Aspirations... Thank you P.S. Troll King.. Are we going to hunt him down?
  15. I feel that many people play this game for the novelty of how WURM works and the fact that you have pretty much full freedom to do what you want when you want with specific limitations. However, it has been my experience, regarding WURM, that there is an issue with player community. The players themselves do what they can to promote community and the devs have done a wonderful job improving this area yet to me it seems that it still lacks the "Let's be togetherness". I believe this idea that I have about the ability to "sell" property to players if they wish to be a citizen of a settlement can help with this shortcoming. Selling property with preset permissions that come with being an "auto citizen" lets individuals get to know others by proxy of purchased property. Essentially the community stems from being neighbors. One of the walls I have found as a deed owner is the fact that I have to "get to know" anyone and almost everyone that I add as a citizen. I would have to spend a considerable amount of time with an individual, as a deed owner or an individual that is capable of inviting strangers to a deed, in order to fully know if they are trustworthy enough to not seriously grief/damage everything on my deed before giving them the permissions that they want as part of a deed. All the while the individual wanting the benefits of my deed, and the community that comes with it, will have to wait that considerable amount of time to do pretty much anything on deed while they craft and build things off deed (wasting their time in my opinion). This may not seem like a problem with settlements that have a population less than 5 however when it gets to the point that the settlement has 10 - 20 or more then it gets annoying. As mentioned before as a settlement mayor it is hard to justify the time spent getting to know all the individuals that want to enter my deed. It is time better spent enjoying all the facets of this game that I have yet to do. This is only my opinion but the micromanagement style to deed owning is arduous. This issue is reduced a little with the ability to sell property that I allocate on my deed. As the mayor (or anyone authorized to do mayor things) I can then set certain permissions that automatically take effect as soon as they buy the property (and become a citizen of the settlement) just like it is set up now. The benefit of this situation is the individual that purchased the property can do what they wish, how they wish within the confines of the purchased property and its set permissions. The ability to sell property on a deed alleviates the issue of "trustworthiness" of the individual and enables them to gain the settlement benefits they so desire all the while putting a bit of currency in the coffers of the deed (the purchaser will still have to adhere to and be aware of any taxes that come with being a citizen). It is no secret that WURM also lacks anything that can be considered an economy. It has been mentioned by the players and the devs uniformly that the trading system between players is... clunky at best. The idea of selling property will benefit to the inevitable solution by creating a bit of "cash-flow" through the settlement. The Mayor (or authorized citizens) plant a property marker, sets the price and they are done. As soon as another player "purchases" that property marker funds are debited from the players account and the deed coffer is credited. Now this is in no way to be a huge effect on the problem but does introduce motivation to both purchase and use in-game currency. So this is all good but how would a system like this be set up? Good question and I have thought about this quite a bit: 1) Mayor (or authorized citizen) sets up permissions for a "New citizen" just like they do now. This will be what they are allowed to do anywhere on the deed (Pick-up items, not pick-up items, Lead, not lead, dig, not dig, etc.) 2) Set up a "property profile" for different types of property (what the purchaser is allowed to do within the confines of this type of property) Similar to the "New citizen" permissions however will include subjects such as maximum slope allowed or maximum building height for example. 3) Purchase a property stake from a trader (or make one. this would be entirely up to codeclub) 4) Place the property stake. Now this seems simple however I have thought about just letting the "marker" be in the center like the deed marker but considering you are dealing with a much smaller area (I'm thinking minimum 5x5 tiles with a one tile [or more] perimeter) Having a marker in the center where you cannot build anything would be annoying. So the solution would be to place the marker and have a UI that would allow a 0 to be placed in the fields asking how far north/east/west/south you would like the property to be with a minimum of two fields filled in and a mandatory perimeter (minimum one tile). 5) Apply a "property profile" to the marker and “citizen type” they would become if purchased. 6) Set Price 7) Player purchases property That's it. As soon as the purchaser buys the property they are now a citizen of the settlement (which is set with the "property profile") and can freely build within the property limits (also set in the "property profile"). From here on it is up to the new citizen to get to know others do good things for the settlement and gain more permissions or higher citizen ranking along the way. I admit there are a few more questions that need to be answered that are more difficult to deal with and ultimately, if this idea takes off, would have to be debated. However this is the gist of the subject. Some questions that I had a hard time confronting: 1) If an individual purchases property then quits playing/doesn't follow the rules/irritates the other citizens; do I as the mayor have the right to revoke their citizenship and take their property? A: If the property was rented you could as deed owner refuse to continue contract after expiration. 2) If, as a mayor, I have the right to take their property how does codeclub prevent mayors from stealing your game currency by booting the citizen out as soon as the transaction is complete? A: The mayor would be bound to a "rental contract", as it were, and be unable to cancel the contract until the agreed upon time is met. The deed owner would also be unable to disband the deed until such time that all rental contracts are expired. This would alleviate this issue. 3) Would a purchaser have the ability to purchase more property and if so how would I prevent them from “land-grabbing”? A: All properties are by contract and a default of one contract per toon. It would be between the deed owner and the renter to allow for a bigger plot. 4) Would a purchaser have the right to develop the property then sell to another? If so does the second purchaser become a citizen? and to this if so then what level of citizen? A: No, however one could allow the rental contract to expire therefore allowing another individual to rent the space. 5) Can purchasers "sub-lease"/share the property? A: No 6) After purchasing; would the purchaser be able to add others to the property and set permissions for them? A: No EDIT: It has bee pointed out by Vanyel that renting spaces would be more viable and I agree. EDIT 2: If you like this idea you may like this idea as well
  16. Xanadu If you have any questions or want to pm me you can msg me here or ingame on Aesir or Odr. Looking forward to hearing from you.
  17. So I've been exploring... I've been wandering the forums, I've seen a few signatures of people honoring their fallen friends and then I thought of this suggestion and I think it should be a part of Wurm and it's history. We have all heard and seen some hidden easter eggs in other video games where they honor their fallen gamers and I know Wurm has had it's few fallen great ones too. My suggestion is basically a grave site, managed by CA/GM etc where one can put in a request for those in our community that have fallen in real life... and that they feel they should be remembered. With a note available for other players to read a little about what made that person so great. Edit: After some thought, I realized how hard it could be to know exactly if somebody has passed away without being very close to them, so I'd like to propose another option, Just like I stated above, a designated area protected and managed by a CA/GM, to highlight those we believe had a big impact in our Wurm community that have now retired the game with or without notice, with the requirements set for those that have not logged in, in a year or more.
  18. Everybody heard the echoing screams from poor travelers attacked by nightmarish creatures in that area of our beloved server. Well, the goal is to provide a quick way to travel underground and away from them, but also to improve our canal network and connect Echo to Nighmare lake. The tunnel will feature a walkway on the north side and a 2 tiles wide cave canal one tile south of it (using the freshly added wide entrances). We will have open air canals at both ends and through the 'Eldorado Crater' (nota. Walkway will start from the crater to the east exit). Western branch of the tunnel will not require a walkway, plenty of accessible roads in the area leading in and out of the crater. Trivia: This project have been thought accross a good amount of years now. The smaller amounts of deeds in the way, light improvement in tunnels, wider entrance and success of the Yellow Subway and Rainbow canal make this tunnel the logical next step in our efforts to improve Deliverance. What Can I Do?! : We can use miners, miners and even more miners. As well as concrete makers, support beams creators and blacksmith for those shiny new lamps. The Eldorado Crater contain more than enough gold veins to be mined out, leaving enough lumps for the lamps and your own storages. As usual a commemorative sign of some kind (statues, lamps, sign) with the name of the helpers will be place in the tunnel or the Eldorado crater. Edit : Shout out to dye makers. We will most likely need a bunch of some various gold / purple / amber tones. Reach me there or ingame if you are interested.

  21. (Updated as of September 9th, 2016) I have taken over maintaining the community map from Capi. Please post your deeds in this thread, also for now I will take submissions via PM. If you send your submission this way I cannot guarantee I will remember it Please read the following rules/guidelines before you post: You may only submit deeds that belong to you, and that you have explicit permission to submit. You are encouraged to: Report disbanded deeds that are still on the map Report spelling errors. (I speak american english, don't pester me about spelling "harbour" as "harbor." Although deeds will be however you spelled it in the game ) Submit newly constructed public highways for inclusion on the map. Submit public tar and clay pits. Map updates will now just be in .jpg using the updated map dump. http://www.karthcraft.net/pristinemap/CommunityMapPristine.jpg
  22. I’ve always been a huge fan of player run events, no matter what game they happen to take place in, and for Wurm Unlimited that means the Imp-along. Betty has been the inspiration to bring this to Mythmoor and will be an invaluable asset as Co - Host. Thank you for all your input in advance So what is an “impalong”? The name comes from ‘improve’ which is of course how you better all items in Wurm Unlimited, you ‘imp’ them. The event takes place at Candlekeep, which is on the Prime server, (Top/middle North ) You don’t need to be of high skill to participate. For sign up to help add yourself to the Excel Sheet Online docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/136fhr1sZDHXpPBw-7NsdW5tUzCe--ryH9985eJ-qz_M/edit?usp=sharingJanuary (weekend Fri - Sun) 27 - 28 - 29 In order to hold an Imp Along we will need the following: 1.) Facilities (Done = Candlekeep) 2.) Workstations and Storage (Done) 3.) Resources (please Sign up and state what you can bring) the higher level the better but all quality is appreciated 4.) Players to Improve Items (please Sign Up which craft you are willing to support) 5.) Players who need Items improved (we are planing to hold Imp Along if 1-4 can be filled. So please, spread the word, sign up and gather resources.Of course the more people who help out for this event, the better. I’ll be bringing Tsunami to act as battery /cast spells for those who need it and to help out where she can. Without the players behind this event, it would never happen. If you play Wurm Online but you’ve never checked out this yearly event, or you’re thinking of getting involved in Wurm and want to see what a player run event is like – this is your chance. Come help make this year the best.As always, happy gaming, no matter where you find yourself!
  23. Taki's note: After having taken a stroll into the dark depths of our forum I am finding that there are a metric fuckton of lost/found horse ads. This irritates me a bit as it's a massive amount of clutter so I decided to write up a public thread dedicated to lost or found horses. I'll probably remove this spoiler post if this thread becomes regularly used. Deliverance is an incredible community and I wish to improve the effectiveness of what we currently have. If anyone wants to claim a following post to manage a wall of fame, feel free to do so. No way in hell that I'm doing it. XD! These two posts took about an hour to make. lol. Lost your horse? Found somebody else's? Let people know here! Please ensure that adequate detail is provided such as where you found/lost it and if you found it feel free to retain it's name for proof of ownership as you feel appropriate. This is entirely voluntary but if you wish to reward the individual that found it by all means, feel free to do so. Deliverance is an incredible community and many will go out of their way to help others as we know how important having a pony is. Thank you for helping each other out!
  24. You probably came here because you're looking for an active community of great people. You've found them! Who we are: Here at Aranea we use discipline and organization to have fun together and establish a name for ourselves throughout the realm. We're more than just a village - we aim to become the tightest group of players because we believe it's the only way to achieve the greatness we aim for! We try to keep everyone occupied within their own professions so that we're all like one organism, and we use a system of ranks within the community to reward the ones showing their determination. Don't worry if you don't like strict rules and regulations - you can still have fun with us! As we understand some have less time than others we don't let it come in the way of free and fun playtime or become a reason of prejudice. The main thing Aranea is about is helping one another, filling in the blanks where needed, making us an efficient machine. All new, returning and veteran players are helped in the way of new equipment and after a short period of initiation and testing how much of themselves they could dedicate long-term - we set them up with their own piece of land. How we work: We use a system of ranks to give people a sense of appreciation and self-improvement. The community is ran by a council consisting of the Grandmaster, the Henchman and a few Chancellors. The Council is the part of the community that establishes new laws, systems and generally tries to improve our life standard and establish order. All the other players become Recruits right after the initiation until they choose their profession and their own path. They will be provided with appropriate tools and workspace. It is always an option to raise in the ranks of Aranea and possibly become a Chancellor. That doesn't mean that the higher ranks keep their secrets or are above the rest. We are all important in Aranea. It should not be forgotten that every rank, from Recruit to the Grandmaster is an important military asset. Everyone will in time be equipped with armor and weaponry of choice and be free to hunt and join battle parties. Our goals: Our main goals are: - Gaining renown; - Becoming great as a team; - PVP (not obligatory); And most certainly - having a great time. What we plan: Our plans for the future include mostly three things, which are: organising different mass events for fun, building a beautiful settlement and most obviously becoming self-sufficient silver-wise so that we can all keep one another up with the money we earn in-game thanks to the amazing player based economy. Process of recruitment: According to the above - we have a strict system of recruitment. Firstly, a potential recruit is allowed to put up a small camp (no terraforming) right next to our deed. Don't worry, you won't get bored or feel endangered in any way! Initiates will be given various tasks or asked for help in return for protection, food and entertainment. Secondly, if the recruit passes the "determination test" they will be invited into the ranks of our community and become one of us. From now on he will be allowed to pick his profession in order to fill a blank in the team and make it stronger or become a "lone wolf" and be free from the weight of responsibilities on their shoulders. Who we need: Basically everyone! As long as you're talkative, friendly, trustworthy and don't burn out too easily - we will be happy to welcome you. We do, however, have those blanks to fill in: - Steel maker; - Charcoal maker; - Bowyer; - Mason; And considering that the cooking update will be a blast... - Brewer! In time all of the above will be given a workshop and proper tools. Don't wait - reply to this post or /tell Erevorn or Pardigan in-game! Below there is a map of how to get to us from Whitefay... The turn you must take from the highway from Whitefay is the turn that leads to Oatfish Maze - you'll see the sign. ... and a few pretty screenshots in spoilers so you don't say I spam And this is the deed in it's most current state: Live great. Live free. Live in Aranea!
