  1. perpetuum is what I play. Occasionally Eve. For whatever reason I like Perp better.
  2. what if it was only weapons, and just replaced the "rare" tag?
  3. As a cool new idea that has no actual benefits to the user I thought it would be neat that if you spend an X amount of time working on an item (say 300 tries of improving or more) that the item then reaches a point where it is given a name, much like we currently do with horses. So it becomes a "unique named" item. I'd like if it stays completely random, so that the cool name items might actually be worth money ^^
  4. So we've officially started the "Born in Blood" alliance which is our cities attempt to create a rather large (by our standards) empire covering the areas of Olive Road, the desert lands, and Oak Road. I am currently in game and we are half the population currently logged into the server (just from our city alone) so things are still going strong and we just finished one of the most massive structures on the entire server... Our arts and crafts building. It is a public building open to all I recommend you come see our city sometime and see what we're all about. We're a friendly bunch... as long as you join us ^^ I will post pictures soon of the arts and crafts building. I should also mention that the entire structure was made by just one of our members - Samsurin. He's got some of the highest crafting skills on the server
  5. Can we please get the slate requirements for floors lowered significantly? Right now it requires 63 slate shingles, 15 concrete, and 10 mortar to make one slate floor tile. It doesn't even look that good! I think the rock floors look better imo. Seems silly to have such an ugly floor take so much work no one will use it! Also can we get a slight bump in paving skill increase? Honestly It's getting really annoying having the whole city packed and paved by everyone raising their skill up.
  6. hate to break it to you but everyone I know on the PVP servers macros in some shape/way/or form. I don't macro, but that means now days I only mine and woodcut because I'm so sick and tired of making bricks or shingles. This is the only game that makes my wrist hurt after play. This is the only game I also play while doing something else because half my time is spent grinding. First off, you guys saying "macroers will use this" are naive. You have no idea of the powerful, FREE macro programs people use. When I played UO I used to use EZ macros, which would record your mouse strokes and keyboard presses so that you could macro mining, which required you to move around from different spots and not stay in the same place like all wurm actions require. Staying in the same place? Man, macroing would be super easy on this game.
  7. Kegan, how about we just have you put in our floors for us? Everyone knows getting carpel tunnel syndrome making slate shingles is exactly why I play this game. Making slate shingles is the most fun I've had in ages. It was a good change. No Kegan, it only means that everyone will either forget about floors and leave ugly structures, or they'll put in the easiest to build flooring possible. We want variety, not more time making bricks. We do enough of that already. Not everyone can play every hour of day.
  8. Not only are they rare, but making floor tiles with the materials is a month long process for anyone with a life. Right now my 45 floor tiles is going to require like 2800 slate, 160 ash and more! Jeez
  9. why is everyone so concerned about bots? This game isn't nearly popular enough to ever warrant bots. You need a market big enough that justifies it.
  10. I'd like to see the ability to place floor tiles in caves/as well as reinforced walls. Being able to build doors in caves would be awesome as well! I would like to build an underground facility that looks cool. I think others would love to see more in their mines than just reinforced walls Probably not standard house walls, just metal sheets placed against walls would do. Nothing fancy, just something other than... rock.
  11. QBERT atm we're still trying to get people used to using our forums and vent. It's usually pretty empty though, try just messaging us in game until we can get people used to using them on a regular basis Same to you agent. Keep trying, we'll find you
  12. Anyone else find it kind of absurd that it takes 63 slate shingles to make a single floor tile? Don't get me started on marble... Not to mention how rare these materials are. I'm hoping these requirements are going to change eventually, I've got several floors to do on a 9x5 structure O_O. Not that I don't want to spend the majority of my game time making shingles... lol
  13. No, it's just a tiny server. It doesn't house a lot of players to begin with, and it's considered the most difficult sever to be on (HOTS/affliction) to start. I suppose maybe my estate is bugged, but I just upped to a 31x41 and I've put at least 1.5 gold into it, with about 23 in upkeep each month (3 guards). Most of those 53 players don't log in all that often, on an average day we have 3 to 15 players on at any time of day. I enjoy the game immensely, but there have been times where I've looked at the costs required and said, "Is this game really worth it?" To me it is. Or at least, so far it has been. When it no longer does, I will not be here to say so I will have left. A lot of the people don't pay for their deeds through actual cash anyway, They initially pay the set up fee for a small deed to milk a trader. Then the trader pays for itself + some, and they set up multiple traders after that. Or at least that's how the people I buy gold from do it. Which is where all these "dead deeds with infinite income" are coming from. They're trader deeds. With the costs the way they are, I'm considering dabbling in this renewable resource system as well. Which means I'd set up 3 or 4 dummy deeds and then set up traders on each and make 1-2 gold a month from it in profit to then resell and make my money back.
  14. I agree Ricowan on the challenging part... but is more challenging what keeps players playing the game? Eventually that "challenge" factor goes away, and you wall yourself in. Hire guards. Then eventually, you stop fighting them all together. The lifespan of those "challenges" is very short.
  15. This is a video game. I just payed what, 200 dollars for a video game that is not even AAA title. It's a 7.0 score on MMORPG.com, middle of the row game. It struggles to keep players on a daily basis. i paid 200 dollars for a real estate system that doesn't make sense. My server is empty, barely any cities and players. I am one of maybe 10 or 15 cities on my server. Yet I pay the same price as everyone else. Why should I pay this price when there is no value other than for me to give to others a place to stay? I benefit not. Yet I'm paying this super high price, when ultimately it's players like me who keep people playing, give then a community to come back to and to provide them with the entertainment needed for them to want to go premium. Why am I being punished with high prices when I'm the one bringing in players indirectly through advertisements on other forums, to grow my city larger? We do this because we care about our villagers, which is why I ate the cost. I enjoy the aspect of playing with others and providing them a home. This was worth it to me.... But I have to argue the point, simply because I am one of few who do this. When I created a new account and went premium on release, I walked around the island, and asked for a city to join and no one would take me. All the cities were reserved for their friends, or their buddies from freedom. It's a weird game, at times anti-social. Yet I continue to support it, and pay these high prices. The high cost eventually forces me to have to buy from other players, lowering the cost by half. Silver is expensive. Outrageously expensive now, imagine if you upped the cost. Most of us would decrease our deed size and or quit all together. Go big or go home I say.
  16. If anything the costs need to be lowered. I have a city with 53 players in it and it's large enough to fit them, but I have to fork out 2 GOLD COINS to just get the damn thing up so that others can play on my deed O_O. Now you're talking about upping the limit? Man you must hate me.
  17. +1 I'd rather suffer through macro bots than get carpel tunnel for a video game.
  18. I think people are just really scared of anything that changes the game they play. I'm sure everyone said the same things when they implemented the rare item system, yet the sun hasn't crashed into the wurm planet yet Change is usually good, and if it's not... it's changed, until it is good. Having something in my opinion is better than nothing. I suppose I'm a bit bias about things because I don't play on Freedom and the monster spawn on HOTS is crazy. So we never have a shortage of meat or hides, in fact I think we stored like 300 or so KG of leather then decided to stop storing it. So yeah I'm bias, sorry about that I enjoyed hunting when I was going out to raise my fight skill, now I only use fighting for PVP but that sucks when you're on limited time. Fighting is a fun aspect to this game, but only when the rewards are worth the risk.
  19. It literally has 0 chance of ruining the economy. It would change the economy, as in rare items would become SLIGHTLY more abundant. Now I'm not recommending that they drop fantastic or supreme items, just the basic rare title. It should also be rare that they even drop them. This would actually help the economy as these items would drop at extremely low QL levels and you'd need someone to imp it for you if you couldn't do it yourself. Crafters can get rare items, and it doesn't ruin the economy. Why would it ruin it if hunters could get rare items? That seems pretty bias.
  20. I am on a pvp server firefly, but I don't always have the 2-3 hours of time it takes to get on a boat and find some quality pvp. Sometimes I'm only on for 15-30 minutes and want to go kill something, but instead I find myself crafting another X items because no reason to go out hunting
  21. Ecrir as I stated above, I completely agree with you. But look how long it took for us to get any improvements, a year. Even then cooking is still a joke and all these ingredients we get off their corpses mostly a waste. You kill a few to get enough for what you need then you never turn to hunting again. After I hit 70 FS I only PVP on epic, and rarely if ever go kill anything. Fighters need a purpose, something that allows them to always keep busy doing fighting... blacksmiths have blacksmithing, etc... but fighters once they hit 70 there's no real reason for them to go out hunting.
