  1. not working... can survive drop from a very tall mountain and die from climb a very step surface.

I got following changes to my area: Cheesecake fjord replaced with Lock Haven (moved closer to sea to the west) Camden, Full Metal and Rat Point(only ran out of funds recently) are disbanded and does not exist anymore. Oospore replaced with Eden now. Olive Docks does not exists anymore, there is some new houses mostly further up the mountain, unsure if got a deed or not.

Ya I need help:( The terrain is red and the lag sucks, people have told me i need a new graphics card but im unsure which works well, Ive mainly tried everything and am loosing hope in ever playing wurm:( i got a character on GV and i saw the glitch was still there and still lagging the hell out of me Sounds similar to when I use my intel graphics in my laptop instead of the embedded nvidia. I have never attempted to solve the issue, sorry. Sounds to me like you bought the wrong laptop to play games. The intel chipsets are only capable of play video nothing improves 3d performance and you will get very low framerate even if solve the texture issue. Of course I could be wrong and it is worth try get help in bug forum as suggested.
  4. Wurm shows world in 3d. To play you need a computer that can show 3d. To show 3d with a good quality and without take all processor resources you need some kind of 3d acceleration. Most laptops does not have 3d acceleration since it adds to cost and drain battery. If you bought a new computer without a dedicated graphic chip you chose to not play 3d games.
  5. My biggest accomplishment was to make a reinforced tunnel up 4-5000 dirt, one of the medium size mountains of Freedom. The last half I spend on improve road network in middle area yesterday almost connected to Samling road around the same mountain.
  6. Beside the technical obstacles I want more people. But I do not see it happen without old people leave in frustration over crashes and lag. There really needs to be done something about server structure. The visual come second but of course it would be nice and give game a 3rd dimension.
  7. Road network been improved a lot since new year and makes many areas a lot more accessible and thereby easier to scout them fast. There is still many mobs in inaccessible areas example a small mountain next to me 30 tiles up a climbable slope is 2 ven crocs and 2 ven spiders in one tile and with locate can see there is at last 3 times as many around but I have not had the courage to climb up since arrow does not agro them. Could be fun and nice if at server restart, all mobs lost climb and keep fall until hit flat area.

My deed is south of the first big mountain south of Samling and the area is relative empty the times I explore north of mountain and go east it was a wilderness but Im not so familiar with the area might be more populated now. Everyone prefer settle near water so usually there is plenty of unused inland every where. The road from Samling stop at the mountain but its an easy swim to connect to new road network with plenty space ahead to east and south but still on north side of DF. The souther areas I do not know much about neither west.
  9. The lamp I have put on deed in a mine work just fine follow the cycle of the outside ones. I never fill oil or tar unless after an improve session.
  10. Inland south east from Samling probally the least populated areas.
  11. If you have an enclosed area there's nothing stopping people from digging up the rocksurface and tunnel into the tiles you haven't reinforced (cant rather, since you've mined them out). Remember wurm is not 3d, you cannot have tunnels over each other. There is no way to mine across a reinforced tile at a higher level to create a drop shaft deeper in.

  13. i7 you mean? and that also only apply on desktop processor laptop version of i7 only equipped with dual ram so normal is 4GB ram. Imo Wurm not that demanding it needs more then 4GB of ram unless you want to run more then 2 simultaneously clients. My laptop run Wurm fine with a nvidia 210m (40-66fps) but the fps is reduces compare to my older desktop pc with core 2 duo and gt8800 which run 88-90 fps (configuration limit). I recommend get 64 bit operating system, with laptop you are forced to get windows but linux runs fine with Wurm as well. Apple I have no experience with only that you pay 50% more for same hardware.
  14. Where I live at Mystic Valley we have a size 17 (35x35) deed but basically have size 90 (185x195) area that we transformed and used and same size to nearest neighbor. So full far from.

    Sleep bonus is not a compensation the server been lagging for days unable to use the previous sb. 5 hour + 5 hour = 5 hour => no compensation.

  17. The rules seem preaty straight forward to me on Freedom. On Freedom your deed is protected on Wild it is not so there is a big difference. Outside deed you can not have things for yourself and you put it on own risk. Perimeter I will never pay for it. In general I think people on Freedom behave nicely and only once had problem with griefing but I have taken my precauctions now.
  18. I voted yes on both but the system is not perfect. Instead of skill decay over time when not used a better system would be that decay is based on gain in other skills. Soft cap like it is called in other games. That way you wont loose all your skills if take a break from game for a longer periode of time but only if you change focus on gameplay and decides to focus on other skills. If no limitation in place over time you will get maximum in all skill which is bad and unrealistic. You can be good in many skills but only master in one.
  19. Seems very likely recently, that if I open a 2nd client as I wait 1 minute for sleep timeout that client start to run in slow motion and get black screen after progress bar done. Im running ubuntu 64 bit jwjgl. If I do a top I see java take 100% resources and 'pkill java' does not make it exit. I have to 'pkill -SIGKILL java' for it to die. I had similar issue long time ago just by have screen to go into power saving. Anything I can do to debug further? Opdate: It happens every time when start the client before the sleep timer expire, open two clients any other time it runs fine I have 6GB ram and run 64bit Ubuntu.
  20. Most likely you cross a server restart, the limit reset every server restart.
  21. I found out that at first cart and horses just get invisible do you keep drive then you get thrown out of cart and need to relog to see it again do you stop a moment right after enter cave then you just got invisible cart and can continue on invisible cant a disembark will make it appear.
  22. I have same issue twice when driving into mine with large cart with hitched horses. It seems to happen with last changes where you enter mine and screen goes black for a while as you enter. New thing is now the whole cart with horses disappear after that. After relog they show again. Strange is the cart is one tile within the cave.
  23. The ugly part of the compass is that it loose its texture when moving and reduced to an ugly brown piece of plastic. The type of compass shown in game is not a needle compass but a type where whole compass rose is magnetic and float freely in the oil in the jar. (A much larger magnetic mass needed to rotate whole block then a needle) The reason why you also put oil in a needle compass is to damp the needle. In that type the needle red end always point north. Why you have a compass rose is so you can read direction relatively to the rose (no need a north markings, reason why north is marked on the scale is so that you can align it with a map). In my oppenion the red needle is not suppose to be there only a picture of a compass rose with a clearly marked north direction. (like the old compass) Or a rotating needle with a compass rose in edge with no north markings (only split in 8 equal part).
