  1. One to Ancientstigg please?.....gotta have me one of those if at all possible....
  2. Kidnie loved this game and wanted the best for all even those that he wound up to the point of violence and those that did the same to him.. a true addict of Wurm.. This game was never my style and he knew it but the swine went and got me addicted too.... BIG hole in the game for all his teammates. He'd be pink with embarressment with all the acolades but methinks he earned them. It may seem presumptuous but from his family and his team thank you all for the tributes. Danyce Dirtdober Nukalot khayman Djrick Ancientstigg
  3. A long time gaming friend has passed, will surely be missed and HE was the founder of stigmata nation NOT me....he would never acknowledge it but he was the leader so will be sorely missed... R.I.P. my old friend.
  4. Game has become unplayable therefore i'm off for a day or three maybe by then it will work or cannot be fixed.
  5. In that case miffed is NOT the word.... Will have to go back to just a pile of mud....... Pity as it should have looked spectacular.
  6. originally built an earth mound in excess of 100 dirt and placed 50+ lamps on top. This gave a powerful glow and could be seen from greater than 20 squares away (albeit in my opinion a tad limited in range) and when multistory buildings were enabled i attempted a 7 lvl building on top of the mound and placed ten lamps on the top floor as a test (expecting the result to be even more impressive) and the glow became non existent at more then five squares away, as if some invisible barrier was up and blocking the light. Thus (it appears) lights within a building are restricted from spreading light beyond the "walls" even if the "walls" are only fences. Is there any plan to fix this as i'm disappointed not to be able to build a useable lighthouse... The range at which the lights of the original mound could be seen did NOT match the range at which the actual mound itself could be seen and i would have thought it should be the opposite way round, you would lose sight of the mound BEFORE the lights upon it. Short version of above, lights on an open plan upper floor DO NOT show beyond around five squares away.
  7. let's see, if you wish to enjoy a game where you can explore the "creative side of Wurm" you also get to enjoy the anarchy of a PVP server. So, this means there is NO wurm server where peaceful exploration of the games creative side can be achieved. In-fact Anarchy on a non PVP server is encouraged? Then clearly there is NO difference between PVP and PVE using that logic, Thus perhaps the PVP restrictions should be removed. Personally my belief is that there IS a difference between the two and whereas on a PVP server you either protect what you have or lose it, A PVE server is where everyone is attempting to play the game in peace and only until very recently has there been an element that refuses to honour other peoples regions. That you would cut down trees that exist in the wild to use for building or skill in your local area is acceptable to most, to do so around someones deed who you have disagreed with for no reason but to just cut them down "was" considered poor play. What i'm saying is, until very recently people WERE abiding by the code of conduct without even knowing (or needing to know) there was one. Summary of my view: PVP = Anarchy and war. no rules of engagement, no mercy and no compromise. PVE = peaceful Civilisation. Negotiation, compromise and understanding. Until very recently EVERYONE was having a grand time building, growing, breeding, making whatever they wanted and happily working together (albeit by trade) without resorting to "griefing" of any description but today many of those players are thinking of giving the game a miss because the aggro is getting out of control and no-one is listening anymore. Who's Alliance those players are in is irrelevant. some are well known to most players and some less so or not atall but WE are all guilty of ruining our own fun by forgetting the way we were responding to each other BEFORE all this started. The code of conduct existed in most peoples minds (whether they new it existed in the forums or not) and the way they played before this thread or even the recent dispute began so i'd say that is enough evidence to say that it was the preferred way to play and is the way we need NOW.
  8. Well to all those that wanted the canal i'm saddened to say that due to the actions of a certain member being "clever" with the rules then i shall also stand by the letter and my mine which solidly bars the canal shall remain. I would like to thank Aniceset who tried extremely hard to persuade me and we were within a second of agreement when the afore mentioned person started a griefing war. I am extremely sorry Aniceset but if he can stab YOU in the back that way then what hope for the rest of us? Untill this latest silly game "he" is playing ends this will remain my stance on the matter. Again apologies to ALL of you who wanted the canal and ALL your thanks and apreciation should go to the efforts made by Aniceset.
  9. My only objection overall is the possible destruction of my mine which is in the path of the proposed canal and thus blocks it. Now, there has been SO MUCH bad feeling over it and poor communication skills shown that i am loath to assist. I recognise i "could" fix this problem by removeing my mine BUT at no time has anyone tried to actually ask anything of me, instead they have TOLD me. I was always taught IF you wish someones assistance it is always best to first see what they think and if against try to persuade them round to your thinking, NEVER tell them your going to do it becuase you can and you don't care what they think!.
  10. ok a canal will be possible ONCE bridges are available, at present neither tunnel nor surface canals work well enough to keep everyone happy. As for the present proposal it is in my opinion insane and only likely to cause animosity... it would be better placed further east where there are lees deeds to disrupt AND more importantly there would be far less digging required... what the blazes is so special about the longer route. And gasrison as this is yet to be resolved, why are you fueling the flames by attemping to dig the thing already?
  11. why do i get the feeling there is mickey taking going on.... NO-ONE is obliged to do ANYTHING about passage passed the land they hold. Passage past a players land is done by goodwill alone and NO obligation should EVER be alluded to. if anyone wishes to "oblige, cadjole or bully anyone else then perhaps they should be on a PVP server and NOT a PVE.
  12. there does seem to be a "damn the opinions and send them to the reservation!" thing going on eh?
  13. a circular arguement? sorry circular arguements never work... what i see from that one is, there is no traffic becuase there is no route and there is no route becuase there is no traffic. great! it supports both arguements... diplomacy points to you....
  14. i would also like to point out that the stigg/amish highway took a lot of effort and time to build and has been operational for sometime and still rarely sees sufficient traffic to make it worth it's effort, this is NO judgement of the wisdom of it's constructuion but that being at the bottom of the map, as such, there are few further south that require the need to pass by us...
