  1. Thanks for adding us, but you've got us a little to south, we're just a little to the north right on the point at Y-34, I did a quick edit on the dump map to assist http://img547.images...936/celemap.jpg
  2. Now we've built an extra level and a roof or two it would be pretty decent if painting a roof with Dye was an option. The wood shingle roof for example is pretty stark in it's standard colour. Just an idea though, the extra floors and built roofs are awesome
  3. Nice ! We almost did stone but went wooden cottage with shingle roof. ..btw we need more low Ql red paint
  4. We had this trouble too with upper floor and roof tiles, discovered the selectable floor/roof plans on adjacent tiles ( hiding under a finished roof or popped through a wall, and although the adjacent plan tile is visible it only seems selectable on the edge where it's missing from. Once finished the bugged out plan disappears. Worked for us in the end and were able to finish. Hope this helps while it's still bugged out anyway
  5. Hi Nice map ! We're a Deed at X27 - Y32 ( the point just edges over that grid line east ) called 'Tawny Port', we are in the centre of that point. no extra bits, nothing to see here folks Mythara & Thylacine
  6. Hi We have the Deed of 'Tawny Port' at 34-Y on the southern point from Whisky Bay deed. Mythara & Thylacine
  7. Hi, we have the 'Tawny Port' Deed out on the point just south from Whisky Bay half between there and Raven's Bluff, south west on grid E5 Mythara & Thylacine

  10. bit of a time zone thing happening, we will try again tomorrow too. maybe post a rough idea of time you might be around? we're after an extra mooring anchor too if you're interested. we'll log off near your deed. Thylacine & Mythara
  11. Hi didn't see you online, PM myself or Mythara if you like, we're keen to take a Sailboat off your hands. GMT +10 (East Coast Australia) Regards Thylacine ps. we're now at your deed .. one spider killed so far
  12. I totally agree with this Ditto.. love the organic nature of how things are at this point and don't personally feel the need to be either shepherd or sheep.
  13. my vote is with FlyingMonkey on this one, to put it nicely .. it's nice how it is
  14. I'm the first to admit i don't fully understand the optimization requirements, i get the polygon count but would like a bit of info on how seemingly more complex looking textures are a benefit, the lamp, large anvil and token all appear to be more complex in texture so i'm just curious here. Main reason i ask is because my own insignificant opinion as a newb is that what they appear to have 'gained' in reduced polygons has been offset, maybe slightly ( i don't know ) in textures. I'm only pretty new to Wurm so hopefully i'm still pretty objective here.. It's my own view that the token and lamp in particular are now a bit too ornate/intricate/delicate for the 'feel' of Wurm's archaic charm. The token looks a bit too much like a piece of renaissance art amongst all the awesome Wurmness surrounding it. Someone else summed this up nicely for me by saying the lamp and token "would look perfect in your mum's garden".. yes, yes they would. I didn't have an issue with the old large anvil, sure the new one's interesting and all, again just curious if the more intricate 'rustic copper bark' textured look is more or less resource hungry than the old texture, doesn't look a lot like a big old lump of bashed out iron much anymore.. not really a big drama though. Barrels, yes i can understand the need for less polygons, but again, are the new textures an improvement for the benefit of fps ? please fill me in as i really don't know. If they are no extra benefit than i'm really much more in favour of the nice old dark/stained/real wood feel of the previous textures. The new textures blend in far too much with both stone and wood backgrounds, they really do look a bit more like bleached rotten wood than nice freshly made good quality 'barrels', don't know about you guys but any time i see these in real-life ( often ) they don't look washed-out and lacking 'timbre'. Oh and i'm quite scared @#$%less enough by spiders as they are, one or two of the previews i've seen around the forum seem a bit er.. 'pretty' for such unspeakable Wurm evil My only really constuctive offering is that it possibly would be ( or have been ) far better to try to keep the old textures and just reduce polygon counts at first, much more progressive for those with a great affection for Wurm I'm told much of these models were just like this 5 years ago, makes me wonder how the graphics even ran on computers back then if it's such a client-side lag drama right now ( I only wonder because i seriously don't know or understand ) All in all i'm happy to wait and see, i just hope that 'feel' that everyone so rightly talks about isn't lost. It sets Wurm well apart from the rest. Anyhoo nothing worth quitting over, looking forward to watching progress whatever happens
  15. ah the fishing rods.. there's another interesting one Mythara and I have gone to some lengths to try, Mythara has made for us ( and countless newbies ) oodles of fishing rods, our own were made of all types of wood ( including Willow ), all imp'd to 20. Each rod took the same damage for each different type of fish and weight. This was tested for hours and hours straight with careful note taken of each fish, it's weight, and damage taken. The fishing rod was repaired after each and every fish was caught. If you have done such thorough testing with similar or different results please let us know. ps. it saves us making 100 fishing rods ( or barrels lol ) if everyone would simply observe and report their findings
  16. Quote from Wiki on Cedar; "Cedarwood items are known to decay slower and is therefore a good material for any item intended to last a long time. " Mythara and I have created 3 barrels, one from Cedarwood, one from Willow and one from Maple, all at the same time, all imped to around 10.2 to 10.5 quality. Around a month later Mythara checked the decay and noted all decay was at approximately the same rate, in fact the Cedarwood was slightly more damage than the other two.. Would be interested in hearing other peoples experiences on this topic and with other things commonly taken for granted from Wiki lore.
  17. The older horses still had the skills of a foal, which was a bug that has been fixed. All new horses should be able to pull carts. I've had 4 golden foals turn into brown foals so far. yep, seems the common outcome is for yellow/golden foals to turn brown.. however that doesn't negate the fact that our (I'm on the same deed as Mythara) yellow foal did, in fact, turn white. Definitely a consideration for a Wiki review as people tend to take Wiki as 'Gospel'.
