  1. As for crafting skills helping with fighting... ive never heard of such a thing. But fighting skills helping with crafting is noted on the wiki:

I was refering to the USA. But Wurm is a global game so none of it may work. If you really do have multiple text message capable phone numbers, multiple address and multiple bank accounts opened under different aliases...wow I'm amazed. If (outside the USA) its easy for an average 20 year old to acquire that set up, I admit none of it would work. * it cost money USA to have multiple phone numbers capable of receiving confirmation text codes. Monies that costs as much or more then a Wurm account. * it would be difficult USA to open multiple bank accounts, each of which has a different alias. I disagree credit cart co would have a fit. They would provide (direct credit card isn't accepted currently) Rolf with the name of person that owns that account (in USA, may ask for postal zip codes). The card company is simply asking the vendor to verify that user's identity. Companies sell personal information like phone number, mailing address and buying-habit related information all the time. What I was trying to point out is, the more unique pieces of data that can be assigned to an account the closer OneTooFree AB would be to matching accounts to actual people. If all those pieces of data (text code confirmed phone number, IP, and bank confirmed RL identity) happen to be unique amongst registered accounts and they point to the same geographic area is seem unlikely to me that such a set up could faked lots of times. The ranking system is a way to decide who should be looked at closer. where the system cracks down: 2 people from the same family living under the same roof. such as: 2 kids from the same family living with their parents use their parents creditcard to play the game. or lets say a BF bought a subscription for his GF which he live with... The ip, adress, phone number and even creditcard may be the same. How would you prove that its a single user playing?

might be a clue we dont need those kinds of walls. if it takes alts to build it will take alts to destroy Labor forces can always be hired. Digging dirt/transport it/put it in a pile is a easy job anyone can do and if its a person with a big wallet capable of affording several alts each month with little effort.... then i hardly think paying a couple random players to do the job is any issue either. Limiting it to 1 acc per player wont remove the excistance of super defenses, it will merely lower the frequency of them. If super high dirtwalls with longhouses ontop of them is a true problem, then that is what should be looked at. Not if they are made with alts or not since their excistance will still be possible through other means.

It doesnt sound so hard to fix. make gains from kills dependant on the diffrense in skill between the 2 players. It's essentially like pvp points or xp point systems in other games. If the 2 targets differentiate too much, then there is minimal (and in some games none at all) gain from a kill. That way, if a person truly want to "train" on a alt, then that alt would need to be properely leveled too (iow effort) in order to obtain any proper gains from it. And since there is a FS loss each death it would quickly detoriate and become useless if it actually is grinded. If someone think 0.00000000000000001 skill from a 1 fs alt is worth it, then by all means... go ahead and kill it as much as you like.
  5. Now im gonna go a bit to the extreme, but none the less: Stating that you are (as an example) a christian and believe the god described in the bible means no harm, right? He is all loving, etc etc. Or... does it? For atheists or by people worshipping other deitys however, it means you worship a diety which would grant them a eternity in hell for not succumbing to the worship of the diety. And the opposite also comes into play ofc... Someone stating that they are an atheist or a believer of a diety which is not the same religion, is on the other hand often seen as someone who is AGAINST the deity which the person worship. Many people also do not agree with that a god excist nor is a fact. And a heck load of people also believe in other gods than that of your own and would call your god false. And... you may take offense by statements like that. Hence: Religious discussion = forbidden to avoid conflict. Religion is a matter of personal belief. edit: urgh... like 50cent123 just proved... he is now mocking you... igniting conflict.

There is nothing offensive about the word noob. Maybe you think it is, and maybe some use it in an offensive way, but the word itself is not offensive at all. Noob and Newbie is quite similar, yet there is a diffrense which makes the word "noob" offensive. While a newbie is simply a term to point out its a inexperienced new person, Noob on the other hand means its a player who knows very little yet doesnt learn over time... iow: newbie = new player noob = stupid player
  7. Oh well that's too bad. Not really. If you can just buy coins when you get there then it makes it fairer if people who previously bought them, or earned them, can transfer them. I know you won't get it, but its a bad Idea for a fresh start server. really? Have you ever played Wurm with a fresh start server? When Gold 1 crashed Gold 2 had all the silver in the economy, and every character who had purchased silver before had that amount in their accounts. Why? because everyone would have quit had they not gotten a full refund from Rolf. If Rolf keeps his pay scale the same, money is money. The only negative I see is someone constantly sending coin over and draining that servers economy of silver they technically didn't pay for.
  8. Awesome Neither have i, but then again... im not at 90 fight skill either so im not in a position to judge.
  9. I dont know about you... but if there is a time where i reach the point where if i grind skills for some months and by the time the scenario is over ill get a skillcut and be back to the same point i started... then ill probably lose the desire to play. If highend skill is much less benefitial then thats one thing, but knowing that there is a magical fairy who appears once in a while and force me to redo all my work, then thats downright frustrating. And as stated before... Death (for example in pvp) is self-inflicted and you got noone but yourself to blame... regular reductions is not. If there is a problem with too much loss while doing pvp... then the problem is that the penalty from death is too high. easy example on how to fix it: less loss in skill or keep x% of the items, etc. Regular skillreduction is a very hacky way of solving it and affects those who dont pvp as much aswell... ofc, this is only true if loss in pvp is infact the real problem. So yea... Adjust curves = brings newbies closer to vets (less skill required for more efficiency etc) Less reductions upon death = more initiative for pvping problem solved. (skillwise atleast. Walls, gatehouses, mine entrances, guards, etc is another issue)
  10. Me and ~9 others have our accounts on wild inactive and are just waiting for the moment epic arrives. (except one unlucky fella who figured he might aswell buy 1 year subscriptions for his wild acc instead of 1 month) 5 of us is in the category "permanently" and the rest is "plan to stay but see how it goes". but... i have to say that it kinda depends on what features epic will have. If there is some silly stuff like 5x skillgain, then a big bunch of us probably will have little interest in it... same goes with stuff like "20% skillcut after each scenario". But thats not the case with curves which highly benefit newcommers though, that would be a nice way of fixing "new vs old" in terms of pvp. on wild the time required for newcommers to be usefull in pvp is a bit silly. but yea... having ur stats reduced a lot is a great annoyance... if you die then thats a self-inflicted thing and you can blame urself for it, but a constant skillcut after each scenario is just downright annoying, just adjust the curves further if need be.
