  2. It's pretty damn obvious that Rolf has absolutely no interest in champs other than having them beat on each other like cavemen, so why should that gain craft skills at a normal rate? Champions is a master of war who is personally blessed and protected by his diety... There is no reason to restrict the person just becouse he loves warfare.

  4. Only because the majority of PvP player base went champion. I do agree priests have some stupid restrictions, primarily the gods of war not being able to actually war as they can't operate a catapult or lockpicks, but I don't agree priesting should be a attractive path for everyone in the game.
  5. Quit thinking about yourself and look for whats better in the damn game Bob. There are more than one ways to have fun in this game. I lasted for a few months as a priest before I champed and I swear it was more fun than I ever had before because I found other things I could do to keep me busy. I ran around having fun in PvP as well because that's what priests are pretty much made for. If you don't like to fight, then either A) Find something to have fun, or De-priest because obviously it's not for you. I know of MANY main Fo-priests, and believe me they do a lot and are very happy with their priesthood.   6. And there is nothing wrong with allowing people to have fun in a game. Priests as they stand now are almost all alts. That by itself should tell Rolf that they are broken.

  8. Clarifications & alterations of the previous post(unaltered info isnt included):
  9. Id change some things in the system... to the following: You become champion in the same way as now and gain the same bonuses. Every champion starts with 15 champion points. When these are used they lose champion status. You lose 1 point every day. You can have max 30 points. You gain 5 points for being involved in a kill on an enemy champion. You lose 10 points when you die for whatever reason. If there is atleast 5 guards and you get 1 silver from a drain you get one point and after that you get another point per 2 silver you get. (now some think this sound like a lot... but if you take into consideration that you only drain 15% of the upkeep and only keep 50% of that... iow 7.5% of the total upkeep... then its not so much points) ex: 1 point = 13.3s upkeep deed 2 points = 40s upkeep deed 3 points = 66.5s upkeep deed 4 points = 93,1 upkeep deed 5 points = 119,7 upkeep deed (so a tiny deed give one point, but if they are huge they will give significantly more... in which case they by all means deserve more points) You gain 1 point when you are involved in a kill on an enemy with 70+ fs. You may gain points like this once a day per player. You gain 2 points for destroying an enemy watch tower. When you lose champion status you lose 1 extra point in every stat on top of the 5 you gained when you became champion. Your channeling is reset to what it was before. Faith is set to 50. You can't go champion in 6 months. All kingdoms will have a default number of 3 champions, but in the same way CR are given to less populated kingdoms, champ numbers will increase aswell to balance out factions. HOTS will again have their portal shut to reflect that you need to seek out Libila in order to be able to gain their powers. <<<!!!2 OPTIONS TO CHOSE FROM!!!>> <<OPTION 1>> MR only has magron priests and champs JK only has Vynora and Fo. The 3 gods will be rebalanced due to these changes. <<OPTION 2>> Both JK and MR can have priests and champs from all WL religions While we're at it the kingdom change restrictions will change so that you'll be able to change kingdom once every two weeks instead and that's it.

Effectively what you are saying is If I can't be a magic user, tank, fighter, etc all in one then I can't play. With champs limited priests become even more important and not just vynora. This is what you are talking about right being able to enchant your own stuff instead of working with another player priest? Why do you think its gotten this way in the first place? This has nothing todo with priests being playable it has everything todo with being able to buff yourself! I guess you have a choice don't you? People play Wurm to craft and terraform, mostly. And yet Priests can barely do either. Yay, I can play a Crafting and terraforming game, and not do either one - how cool! That's about the most absurd combination I've ever heard of in a game. Playing a character that can't terraform or craft in Wurm is like creating a Everquest character that was only capable of doing Kareoke in the guild lobby. "Hey guys, I can't tank, heal, or DPS, but I'll sing some Aerosmith on vent for you while you fight!" Then don't play a priest.... it's a choice. Actually it was a choice. Now it's my character. I made Farmerbob a champ because priests are horrible crap. I took the risk of limiting myself to 4 lives in order that I would be allowed to actually play Wurm, rather than Prayer Online. Every single character in Wurm should be able to do the things that makes Wurm a memorable game. Priests can't. then de priest..... What about every single character wasn't I clear about? Oh, thats right, so few people play priests as mains that people forget they can actually be characters, rather than just alts. Meh, i suppose all priests can be granted digging, woodcutting and mining. No harm done in that really, all they would do is to support the crafters of their village. edit: actually woodcutting and vynora makes no sense... but give them digging and mining some basic terraforming options wont hurt anyone.

  14. i understand that. well, how much does a 70FS loose in fightskill per kill, if he is killed by another (assumingly higher FS account)? I dont know the exact ammount unfortunetly. Kill a champ croc from his "farm" everyday...? and not to mention that a cap of obtaining champ points can easily be implemented... Like lets say max 1 gain every 5 days if its from the same target.

Rolf wrote: once a day 1 point from a 70+ fighter. that would negate the increasing i assumed, wrongly. but, you could buy one account with 70fighting and nothing more. - your affinities acount anyway... then kill it once a day. then kill a troll to come back over 70 in FS. rather easy. only 5€ per month. no need to protect 3 deed from being raided by other players....

Rolf said this in regards to only the champions to be on JK and MR side......only priest on both sides still stay the same they are now!!! where is there a problem, that MR cannot field 1 FO Champion? are they going to die cos of it???? i dont check it. were do you see the problem?
