in my part of Chaos, there is hardly an aggressive mob to be seen anywhere, but I am aware of other parts of Chaos where they are plentiful. I guess there will always be regional variations.

That alleged group of people that have been "Shafted" have lost nothing. they retain all their skills, items, materials, even their deeds and server. They have lost nothing and should this group actually exist they have options to find a more attractive game play style as mentioned. No, actually, they have been shafted since those skills where honed for PVP not for PVP lite with Care Bears. I respectfully suggest that you have no idea what you are talking about. Regardless of what these people were "Honed" for or focused in while playing they have lost none of those skills and retain all of them. No one guaranteed that any of your skills would be relevant or useful forever. I respectfully suggest that in the future you try Diversifying to avoid this exact trap. Are you good at digging? I just ask since you appear to be an excellent digger, certainly digging yourself a very nice deep hole for yourself

Not sure your comments help actually. Wild members had their PVP taken away. Their years of grinding fs etc rendered meaningless. I think you should show a little respect to them, imho Its out of respect for them that we're trying to find a better solution than FFA, because we want Chaos to grow. Empty servers fail and get shut down. We're not trying to take away PvP from them. If anything, we're trying to figure out the best way to keep PvP while attracting and encouraging more people to PvP. The current PvP is broken and undesirable to the majority of the population for Wurm. Freedom players matter to because freedom players are the people most likely to make the switch to PvP. The implications of free-for-all PvP only appeal to an extremely small percentage of the total population, meaning your player-base will always be small, and will likely never grow. Not to mention free-for-all pvp introduces a whole new set of problems (and players) that will ensure the population will never grow. Again, empty servers fail and get shut down. There is just so much wrong with free-for-all pvp, and if you still think its the best solution then you are as naive as you appear. Or you're just apathetic and only care about what you want, not whats best for Wurm and the server. You are kidding, right? Have you actually read the thread here? http://wurmonline.com/forum/index.php?topic=71679.0 That is the thread where the vast majority of sensible suggestions have been made. This thread is a Poll, borne out of that thread. You have to read them in conjunction with one another. There are at least two very solid alternative suggestions that have been made to improve Chaos, that have seemingly been ignored. Several people (me included) have asked Rolf to post an update on the thread he started, but 33 pages later, he has failed to do so. I am sure he is very busy, but after countless years of fs grinding and village building etc the only info we have are rumours coming out of IRC. You talk about respect? Jeez, unbelievable. All we are asking for is communication - confirmation if you like, that the discussion Rolf started has at least been taken in to consideration. That would help to stop a lot of the nonsense being posted IMHO
