Confirmed. This actually happens with many containers and has done for a while.

Definitely.
I feel that the volume of many of Wurm's items needs a review, and pelts being one of the oldest items in game deserve a bump.

The time has come...
Some of you may have already noticed or heard on the grapevine the changes that have been made very recently in line with the above announcement.
Standard accounts are blocked from editing anything in the main namespace, however Player, User and Settlement pages are unaffected, feel free to continue to update and edit these as you wish. Should we receive any complaints of un-approved editing of another person's page or settlement it will be considered vandalism. Vandalism is an immediate ban from the Wurmpedia, so please always get confirmation before editing.
Anyone may apply for a Standard account.
Editor accounts are enabled case-by-case after I receive an application requesting the upgrade. 99% of the time the upgrade will be approved. If you're unsure as to whether you're in the 1% then you probably shouldn't bother applying. Editors may edit any page on the Wurmpedia that is not protected, such as the main page.
Anyone in the 99% may apply for an editor account, but we do expect editors to remain on the active user list....
We are looking to redefine the role of the Assistant, so we will not discuss that too much right now, but the idea is that they should be highly experienced Wikipedia/Wurmpedia editors with a vast knowledge of the game, comparable to a GM in the game-world. Once we have ironed this role out (again) we'll bump the application page.

Not true. Wurmpedia editors may edit the Wurmpedia. They aren't staff.

http://forum.wurmonline.com/index.php?/topic/34545-wiki-guidelines/
So far we haven't changed any rules as to what can and can't be edited, however the Wurmpedia staff will not edit player or settlement pages on behalf of others. Any edits made without permission will be considered vandalism.
We have no plans at the moment to remove players or settlements from the Wurmpedia, but we are not maintaining them, only caveat is that they're created in the Settlement and Player namespaces.

but our homeservers are beautifull too
I think Keenan means "be open minded" and don't focus solely on PvP.

As per title. The Wurmpedia team would like a single screenshot that represents your server. Be it Dragon Fang or Horseshoe Island, or an epic battle between two sides, or even your starter village in all of its glory.
Doesn't have to be big but please:
- reasonable+ quality graphics
- no GUI or text
- daytime, unless well lit by moons etc
- no trolling, no derailing or how about just.........
No talking -- images only. If you want to say something, make sure you share an image matching my guidelines, if you want to discuss how good an image is, please take it here.
The screenshots with the most likes after the weekend will have their image displayed in a prominent place on the Wurmpedia with credit. A few runners up will be added to a smaller gallery for all to see.
Ready, set... GO!
P.S. Please use spoilers if your image is wider than Docterchese's head.

This is one of our internal projects and we've been working on it (albeit slowly) for a while now. We have some ideas on our sandbox Wiki which we'll eventually push to live.

Sneaking a little message in before I go away; this is great work and I and the rest of the team are happy with the direction the Wurmpedia is going in. We're looking for more editors like Keenan and Zachariah. Remember you don't need to be a staff member to be an editor, only someone of reasonable experience in Wurm and have a lot of enthusiasm.
I'm hoping for 6-9 months of structured projects like this to get the Wurmpedia to a level where we can trust the information, understand it clearly and clear out the trash. Once that's done, we can look to implementing some awesome features and make the Wurmpedia the best gaming Wiki there is.
So if you're up for that challenge, drop me a PM with an application and I'll look to getting you added, all things good, by the time I'm back from my holidays.

All we need to hope for now with all the wiki renovations is a better way to read the Wiki ingame.
Everyone is in full agreement there.

Great conspiracy theory.
Many Windows applications require .net and DirectX. Requiring Wurm players to upgrade Java is no different. The game is built on Java after all.

I had put the info up on the Wurmpedia just after it was released today, maybe they changed the colours since they gave us a sneak preview. I'll check with the team.

- There is now an ingame map of Valrei, the home of the gods (and a keybind for it).
Phew, that was a lot to update.
I've added some new images but these may take a while to refresh based on the local servers updating so if any are skewed or such, please check again in a few hours.

Secure key is something managed by payment providers, such as your bank, not Wurm Online or Paypal.
Normally you can reset your secure key by entering your date of birth, postcode and card number when prompted, depending on the institution.
-
Should be visible in game once the cache has refreshed, which could be up to two days.

Resurfacing this to add a list of the suggestions I've seen similar to this and to add some of my own.
- Allow empty BSB, FSB and large and small crates to be collapsed and stored in a 'Container rack' that can hold 50 collapsed containers. Space fills 50% of the volume of a tile and can be planted and locked. No collapsed models would be needed as they would auto-collapse when dropped into the container.
- A Mobile container rack that can be loaded onto a wagon or boat that can hold 25 empty collapsed containers. Don't forget to set the volume right so that these are useful
- A Barrel rack that can store 6x6 small barrels, opening the inventory opens just like a cart showing the inventory.
- A Large crate rack that can store 3x3 large and a Small crate rack for 6x6 small crates.

I love how businesses always get the brunt of their employee's incompetencies. I hope the 'co-worker' got death by negligence charges.
I used to work for a restaurant chain where, back in the mid 2000s, one of the chefs had a slight accident.
To reach the cooker hood for cleaning you had to get a step-ladder and have a colleague steady it for you while you scrubbed away some 7ft in the air, while bent over the range. The chef, unbeknownst to the managers who were in the back cashing up, decided it was easier to just stand on the range itself to reach the hood, not needing to waste his colleague's time. Apparently he did this all of the time. However this one time he didn't realise that below him one of the other chefs had removed the toughened steel lid from the deep fryer so that he could clean the splashed fat from it. The chef cleaning the hood moved a foot to his left without looking. And that left foot ended up being amputated due to the skin damage caused by the still-hot oil.
The chain was fined massive amounts, he was given compensation by the firm for 'their incompetencies', the managers were fired and the store closed for a few months while they hired new staff.
The guy had worked there for 3 years and had a very good training schedule. There was nothing that the managers could have done to prevent this, yet he received all of the sympathy.
Meh, rant over. I just think that people should take responsibility for their actions, and this poor guy was cooked because of the pure negligence of another single person, not corporation. He should have checked inside the oven, simple.

Greetings!
I must point out that the brown bear is capable of swimming, but you already knew that right, because you've already perused the Wurmpedia like all adventurers-to-be.
The black bear, on the other hand, seems to like dark, damp caves. Slightly stronger than the brown cousin, but we don't tend to find many of these in the forest.
Happy hunting!

Sounds like two bugs here
- The plan shouldn't inherit the damage when the floor/opening is destroyed.
- The fence should not prevent the replacement/removal of the plan.
How did you destroy the floor?
What was the messages you got in the event tab when you tried to replace the plan?
Which side of the tile was the fence located (e,w,n or south)?

One corner of the pen: This is within the perimeter of The Howl.
The other corner: This is within the perimeter of Grumble.
I think someone needs to move the spawn location of "Start".
Many chat channel changes and client update

I think it's quite clear. If you're not actually monitoring the game you can't exactly be considered actively playing. The rules haven't really changed, only been clarified, and that is if you're not paying attention in game there is no way the staff can prove either way if you're using a macro or a bot.
