  1. Yup. there's a related post here https://forum.wurmonline.com/index.php?/topic/197564-client-crash-when-trying-to-build-bridge/ so looks like a client issue
  2. Archaeology cache spawned within a bridge structure so was unable to access it without demolishing the bridge section (e.g. completely inaccessible cache in/under the first tile of the bridge, within the actual structure of the bridge). Not a huge problem as bridge was on my deed (inherited bridge that's been there for a long while, not a newly built one, although the deed itself is only c. 1m old) and managed to resolve by bashing the bridge section and retrieved the cache but.... now........ cant add the bridge section to the crafting window to re-build it easily due to unrelated (?) crash bug, can only re-build by adding items one at a time which is quite frustrating................. see https://forum.wurmonline.com/index.php?/topic/197564-client-crash-when-trying-to-build-bridge/ I wonder if these two issues are related, of if there's just something fishy going on with bridges atm.
  3. You are not alone. I've just started getting this too Very frustrating
  4. Deed "Port O Felice" at 428,212 was disbanded (upkeep) Deed "Saltcoats" is now at that location. Thx
  5. Agree wholeheartedly. The key here is having the choice... If you want the experience of an epic quest to Chaos to become a priest then fine, feel free to try... it's currently almost impossible to reach either black/white light on Chaos (I've tried... total waste of time and very stressful for an ardent PVE'er) If you are sociable, have the time and are willing to spend potentially hours traveling depending on your location, go be converted by an accommodating existing priest (can also be difficult, depending on location and available play times ) Alternatively allow conversion to Priest at starter town NPC's or potentially at one of the upcoming new Holy Sites. As a new(ish) player travel to your nearest starter town can often be enough of an adventure in itself (as I'm sure travel to a Holy Site would be too!) but it is at least achievable and at a time/pace that suits you, unlike a journey to Chaos if you have no interest in PVP, or travel to/from another priests location at a specific pre-arranged time which may not be ideal.
  6. Would be great if there was a small flag/pennant that you could attach to the prow of boats/ships to show wind direction whilst sailing
  7. Newbies (or folks just occasionally short of a few coppers for upkeep etc) can currently make a small amount of coin by selling low value items to settlement token. To encourage new player retention it would make sense to make this action as easy as possible but, the current system of individually selecting items in inventory and then selling them one at a time can be off-putting and feel like a waste of effort for the value return. Selling more than a handful of items at a time is also potentially RSI inducing as, given the transaction limits this could be 100's individual mouse clicks.... not ideal A system similar to sacrificing at an altar where you would drop a number of items into the token at one time, and perhaps have the option to add the funds directly to either upkeep or bank (a tick box to select perhaps?) would be a huge improvement. Same financial/ frequency limits to apply as currently e.g max 5c/hr, assuming funds available in the 'kings coffers' of course, but a much better experience for new and existing players alike.
  8. +1 to basket weaving. Maybe as a sub-skill of thatching (not very useful skill unless you want thatched roofs, which it seems not many people use) and using existing reeds/grass. Perhaps baskets as a storage option for some of those pesky items that cannot be stored in traditional containers to prevent/ reduce decay e.g. Pelts (yes, you can keep these in inv/ bank etc and they don't weigh much but just add clutter to inv/bank until needed). Would also clearly be a nice additional decorators item.
  9. Love the idea of a fast 1 horse chariot/ gig/carriage with minimal cargo to get from A-B really fast. Would need a small cargo capacity (slightly more than a mounted horse can carry), and max potential speed greater than cart (horse trait and passenger speed penalty dependent) to make it worthwhile otherwise, why bother. Fast carriages were very rare in medieval times, but did exist for the wealthiest so introduction of such a vehicle would not be immersion breaking, assuming creation based on relatively high skills.Perhaps only available as a fancy version to show off those high fine carp skills?. Bring on the chariot races! At the other end of the spectrum, lead donkey/mule/ cow/bullock small carts would be sooo useful and improve the starting experience immeasurably, especially when you can barely carry a couple of logs in your pocket without literally crawling. Of course, this would only be of benefit to newbs if they can actually find a suitable creature to hitch to said cart..........
  10. Why? It's not solely about functionality/ ability to do other actions (although that is part of it) but for me it's also about immersion/ enjoyment of the environment. I'd much rather be able to see a lovely sunset over the ocean, or wave at a passing ship for example, than have a large portion of my screen taken up with a window that I can't resize.
  11. Not sure if this already exists/ has been suggested before but it would be lovely to have the option to resize the crafting window (eg: drag corner to resize, or just remove some of the blank/empty space and make the window smaller) Its possible to collapse the right selection pane but, the remaining window seems unnecessarily large (lots of empty space) and obscures a good part of the screen. Have reduced UI scale as far as I can while still being able to read chat/ text in other windows etc but, having less than perfect eyesight this is not an ideal solution. Total immersion spoiler to have this (proportionately) huge box on screen all the time when grinding 1000's mortar/bricks or similar. I'd love to be able to look up and enjoy a beautiful sunset over the ocean or see whats going on around me without interrupting my grind. :)
