  1. Just wanted to thank you all for the fun! It was my first time attending. I only had time for one visit and one event. Thanks, Goldfinch, for hosting the awesome fish slaps. It was soooo much fun! (And thanks for being gentle as you guided me along while I had a "deer in the headlights" moment about where to wait, lol!) To everyone who was involved, fantastic job and cheers to all your time, effort, and love that you put into it all. ❤️

F.lux is a nice little program to help block the blue light on your screen. It's especially helpful if you've dimmed the lights in the evening. It's done wonders for me. Hope it works out for you all! https://justgetflux.com/
  3. +1,000 and ∞ ❤️ Love this idea!
  4. I couldn't help but check this myself... A little closer, maybe Chat GPT-4
  5. When you've been waiting on your snail mail 🐌 📪 so long that you your life has left and only your ghost remains.
  6. That triple eclipse was soooo much fun and soooo cool! And special thanks to @Siderealfor calling it out in Freedom! I was tending to our garden and also the castle was blocking my view, so I would have totally missed it. I took pics where the moons were more clear, but I thought these were a little neat for now.
  7. I don't remember everything about the tutorial, but I think if these aren't mentioned, they would be a good idea: Explain about items taking damage, repairing and imping. Explain more about crafting. In every other game I've experienced, repeatedly crafting the same thing over and over again is what gives you more crafting experience whereas in Wurm, imping is what improves your skill. Explain about Wurmpedia. I don't think there's any way to know about the resource until you start asking questions and then CA Help or someone else asks if you've checked there.Way-back gamers will usually Google search for game wiki's, but some of the new generation of gamers may not be aware. Explain, at a high level, about religion, meditation, and the paths you can take in those categories. Educate and get people excited about what they can look forward to accomplishing and what the gods are about. For example, I don't think/remember that I had to look up on a wiki to be introduced to Tunare, who was about Nature, the Tribunal who was about justice, Erolisi who was about love, Cazic-Thule who was about fear... etc. If I remember, that was all explained during character creation as you selected your race. Of course, Wurm doesn't have races, per se, but maybe it can be expained somewhere along the way in the tutorial. Explain that the map should be used as a guide by checking out your surroundings and looking for wayposts on the road. I quit playing the first time I tried the game because I got killed and couldn't find my way back to my friends who were also new. It was a very frustrating experience for everyone because I was expecting to find dots on the map showing my location and those of my friends and thought something was wrong. I was simply lost and could never find them again. Also, there may be some players, like me, who live with dyscalculia and have a difficult time with maps and direction. Knowing about wayposts and how the map works ahead of time would have helped and would contribute toward diversity and inclusion. I also agree about directing new players to the journal, but I don't think dropping the tutorial is such a good idea. As mentioned, some of this stuff may already be included in the tutorial but I just forgot that it was. There were (and still are) so many things ingrained into my mind about how to play MMO's from 20+ years of gaming and Wurm seemed to throw almost all those things out of the window.
  8. Just wanted to say that I'm just now watching your first video above. Your place is just sooooo creative and delightful! Thank you for sharing. And I love the meditative music, too. Nice touch! 😍
  9. +1 yes, please!! And, definitely - would love to take my Boo out and about!
  10. My first ever virtual world was Everquest right around the time Kunark came out. I rolled a high-elf enchanter. That class was way over my head as a beginner, but one I eventually fell in love with. I remember getting my first illusion spell. It randomly turned me into a coin on the ground. I thought I was bugged and that my character disappeared because I couldn't see myself anymore. I was tripping out, lol. My friends and I ended up living on the Firiona Vie server. I was Aeonii the cleric, mostly - among others, such as Veralynn the bard. Then it was a long list of MMOs from there. My very first game... that was Parsec on the TI 99/4A. Unlike the guy in the video, I didn't have a controller. It was aaalll WSAD for me. The console came with a little book that gave you the long, long code to type in to program a little moving man and sounds and stuff like that. The TI was my gateway drug into lifelong gaming. Now I'll go lay down on the lawn next to Sid. 🤭
  11. +1 I would like to take Boo for a walk sometime to get her own bone, and maybe come with me while I am out visiting friends and join in on the fun as a guest when going to parties. +1 for Boo's sake!
  12. By all means, use this as the starting point for creation. 🐐 😂😍
  13. +1 Love this idea and love decorating with flowers, too. 🌼
  14. Welcome back! I hope all is well and that your world is once again filled with all the pretty colors
  15. Adding my +1. I like the idea of animals/people showing disease status. 🤢
  16. 🏰 Our kingdoms for a musical instrument/barding skill system, please! 🎶 There are so, so, so many great ideas and so, so, so many people interested, and for so, so, so long. Here's a handy one-stop music shop for all the unique original posts I could find (hoping I haven't left any out). I thought this handy reference post might help any lovely devs, who would be on the same music book page, have a quick place to access ALL the wonderful ideas the OPs and repliers have given. It's important to note that these suggestion posts don't get just one or two +1's, but many. They are not just out of the blue one-offs with only a bunch of hearts in support. These get many bumps. And they get many well-thought-out replies with fantastic supplemental ideas. Ballads, hymns, and anthems would be composed in your honor across all the Wurmian lands should some kind of musical skill/instrument system be implemented. ❤️ 2008 🎼 July 22, 2008 Guest Khalid Musical Instruments 2009 🎵 April 28, 2009 Guest Canine Musical Instruments - New Weapons - Animals May 23, 2009 Guest bziur amphoras, drying, basements, ladders, instruments August 3, 2009 gisewindblade musical skill 2011 🎶 July 1, 2011 Brash_Endeavors Bards (or 'entertainers') November 26, 2011 Logik Musical Instruments 2013 🎼 February 11, 2013 Mizana Musical Instruments And Custom Scores! 17. +1 I am allllll about this! I think this would be beautiful. Making them dyeable would be a plus, as well. I think this would be a perfect supplement to the (shameless plug) party supplies idea post. I also like the varieties you showed for hanging/floating, being placed on a surface, and floating on water. Having optional versions would be sweet.
  18. I have recently been lamenting about this exact thing. We are creating a public park with themed areas outlined by half-height hedges. Each area has a different hedge based on the theme, so I end up pruning every time one pops to full height so that the decorated area is visible park-wide. It's nice to get the random gardening tick, but for those areas, I'd rather have something I can set and forget.
  19. +1 to pheasant. Or at least some kind of colorful pretty bird. Lol, Dobby plus a sock.
