  1. I play on most days in the evenings EU time as well as during weekends. Scavenger runes cannot be created, they are achaeology exclusive. Feel free to read my FAQ for some information about runes.

There are so many people who don't have a clue about how much time and effort it takes, both in game by going out searching for them and trapping them but also off game to keep track of spawn timers, keep track of hotspots to search, etc. Like, not even a little bit of a clue. Want everything by doing nothing.
  3. About the auction-house.. Adding automation to trading has to be done in the right way for it to not kill the feel of wurm. While this exists in many other mmorpg's, the feel of playing wurm is very different from the feel of playing most other mmorpg's. Keep in mind that I don't know what would be good for the game, but I'll give an example of a way to possibly make it fit in to wurm: Add a UI that allows a player to place buy orders, not sell orders. (example: "WTB steel skiller pickaxe 100+ coc") Other players can browse the overall buy orders list. Obviously fine tune by allowing search filter, maybe use tags, etc. Allow other players to "reply" to a buy order through the UI. Maybe even "reply and offer" where you can then add an item and put a price to the buy order. Allow the withdrawal/deletion of an offer/reply. Allow the player to look at a list of replies/offer for their buy order. Maybe even allow the player to simply accept an offer and get the item right away. (example: someone offers a ql4.19 steel pickaxe head casted with 101 coc for a price of 2s. You could then simply accept the offer and grab the item right away or look through the other offers. The offering player would get a mail message telling them their offer was accepted and to collect the money at a mailbox, all other players would get a mail saying it was declined and have their offered items returned in the mail). Once again, my example isn't potentially the best example of how to do it; my point is that for it to fit wurm, the mechanic should probably be different from the standard traditional world of warcraft auction house system. I'll leave the design of the system to the devs and then harshly critique it later (as you can expect the player base to do) when it's in testing.
  4. I still advocate for a change to make many/all consumables of rod fishing bulk items. It's not easy to just sit down for 10 minutes and fish since rod fishing requires you to go prep fresh non bulk consumables.

  7. Ye, this is one of the multiple issues I mentioned in a bug report 1½ years ago. As a planter farmer, I don't have too much hope of them fixing the issues with them at this point. But then again, it's apparently intended that the rune that triggers on raking only triggers when raking the ground and not when raking on planters. Intended. 🤷‍♂️
  8. So I was out hunting and found one of them random rift camps. Started clearing it and noticed that a rift jackal was attacking my hellies and both my hellies were attacking it back. My hellies received damage. Was a bit scary since they're 5-draft hellies. One of my hellies were down to 30% remaining health when I noticed and ran away. Luckily, I use barding on them.

  12. Did we really need like 20 different nodes? If someone tested it on test servers and it only had 7, would anyone really think "I think the game would become better if it was closer to 20 different nodes than just these 7"?
  13. Sorry, but when asked why and not getting a direct answer to why kind of forces assumptions and speculations. And that's why my comment had "with and without tool". As far as I'm concerned, making foraging/botanizing usable with and without tools would make you able to use the skill regardless of what equipment you have or circumstances you find yourself in. How would it not?

  16. I've given up my hope of them making a skill grind friendly when I saw what they did with cartography lmao. As far as I'm concerned, making it grind friendly doesn't mean catering to the power grinders, it means giving people the option to power grind if they want to and enjoy that kind of gameplay. Making forage/botanize annoying to difficulty balance makes me dislike. I don't even need to try it out on the test servers to read the comments in this thread and then imagine popping sleep bonus only to waste a lot of it on no action or actions with trash difficulty balancing because I can't find good nodes. More actions doable while horseback or vehicle riding would be nice. You can already do a good lot of actions, I don't see the point to limiting newly created ones to not be usable. I love wurm but I'll also call out its flaws; sometimes wurm is way more clunky to play than it needs to be. Putting together arrow bundles is an example of a new action that I can't even fathom how it was possibly created without letting us either use the crafting window or activate container filled with arrows, whichever one is easier to implement in the code (in an optimal world, both options available, but in reality neither lmao) I'll cry when gathering flowers reduces my web armor cast on my gloves. Edit: Will it use some kind of average for the runes? Or will it use both allowing you to double dip GlimLib for pottery? Run a BronzeLib+GlimLib combo for forage/botanize?
  17. I don't offer color runes of any kind since they come out with a random R, G and B value when created. I can't be bothered with calculating their price since things like rune ql (affects attach chance) as well as the RGB values all changes the rune color and a good RGB value is also subjective. At some point I added a price for attaching your rune since people kept asking me to attach their color runes for the best attach chances (not too many people have higher soul depth than me) which they created or bought since a failed attach means the rune goes poof and they happened to have a rune with a really good color that they don't want to go poof.
