  1. I agree with Omar that more restrictions would be bad. However, I think this would be ok. Except what I think would be even better, is allow them to still spawn on starter, but limit them to only 1 hour of sleep bonus, and can't have rare bones. Except it's not an extension of starter, it's an area to give the template kingdom some breathing room. Plus as I said before this is completely unnecessary. You need to capture 4 battle camps to win hota, making 1 that happens to spawn kinda close to starter totally irrelevant This is a perfect example of a buff that you guys want to give yourself. You already have a huge advantage with HotA and Depot's because you control the middle of the map. By cutting off even more of the outside where they can spawn, you are forcing them to spawn even closer to you, making it that much easier for you, and that much more difficult for everybody else.

  4. I think there is something you guys aren't understanding. We're not on starter sticking our tongues out going "NANANA BOO BOO...you can't get us". We live on starter cause that's the only place we can exist. ok, story time. Literally the same day I joined BL, they were doing a tower bash. We had, oh I don't know, I think it was 16, maybe 18 people bashing one of your towers between BL starter and malice. At some point during the bash Friede showed up and we gave chase. He wasn't alone, there were other JK with him. I don't remember the exact number, but I want to say 5 others? maybe 6? Don't think it was much more then that. As soon as you saw our numbers you ran. Why? you complain about there not being enough PvP, and here was a perfect opportunity for a fight, why did you run? Because you don't take the fights you're pretty sure you're going to lose. THIS is why we live on starter. Pushing us off starter without giving us some way of defending ourselves will just push us off the server. And I'm not asking to be 100% safe, but leaving starter is 100% guarantee we get raided into oblivion. So just like you didn't take that fight when Friede lost his rare drake set, we are unwilling to leave starter. And I'm curious as to why us being on starter even matters so much to you? Maybe because you're upset that you can't simply raid us on a whim?
  5. I like your out-of-the box thinking, and honestly it's not a bad idea. However I feel it's way to complicated, and I would greatly fear that it would be implemented poorly and be super abusable. Plus I realistically don't see the dev team spending the development hours it would take to code something like this.

Or are you so out of touch that you really think this? 9 pieces of armor a shield a one handed weapon a spear a bow arrows 1 (probably 2) bardings 8 horse shoes 2 saddles That is the BARE MINIMUM for PvP. And you're saying that can all be created, imp and cast on in an hour? Then you must be using Nelse speed hacks, cause that is MANY hours of work for normal people

While that's better then my (non-existent) idea, I think limiting PMKs to a certain number of people doesn't fix the situation at all....they'll simply make multiple PMK's but still fight together. However it IS an idea, and not really a shitty one. maybe forcing PMK's to be smaller groups will EVENTUALLY lead to them not working together anymore. maybe always seeing 'friends' in red will change attitudes. I don't really see any downsides of this...except it really hinders groups that have large amounts of 'support' players and very few 'fighters'. hmm...it also makes it more difficult for groups like BL where superior numbers are their strength.
  9. Not to put words in Gavaldor's mouth, but what I thought when I read his very inciteful post, was that he is talking about the group, not an individual. So you don't punish an individual for how strong he might be, but if PvP is ever really gonna return to Defiance in a meaningful way, you need to somehow stop all of the strongest players from being in the same group. But honestly while I agree, it's easier said then done. I would be against the GM's simply telling people they can't play together. So just as we should be incentivizing people to move off starter rather then punishing them for staying, we need to somehow incentivize people away from just joining or being part of the strongest group. However, I don't even have a shitty idea how to do this, let alone a good one.

  11. It would make PvP about fighting other players and not about the loot. I would make the chance of drop much higher...maybe 1/50. Or better yet, have a set number of items that WILL drop. like you know you'll lose 4 or 5 items when you die.
  12. WHOA....slow your roll there. We don't want any sensible talk like that here. I suggest that we implement a system where as soon as you leave deed, a big beacon like the rift beam appears over your head. That would promote PvP cause people could find you easier. In fact, lets just do away with the beam and when you leave your deed you (and all your alts) just POOF and their gear just appears in a nice little pile in the center of the map

  14. Just out of curiosity, why would you be against something that boosts the losers of a fight, while changing nothing for the winner? (except maybe looting better quality gear on average) And it's curious that you exaggerate things so wildly when you're trying to make a point. while 70ql is fairly easy, it's a hell of a lot more then 3 imps

  16. agreed 100%. But how do you suggest a small group of players like us keep from getting raided into oblivion without starter island protections? We rarely have more then 3 or 4 people on at a time, and it's often much less.
  17. ok, so some REAL suggestions, that won't drive people away: 1) as I said earlier you could remove the drain benefits. have them work like all other deeds. 2) you could increase maintenance costs. a 25 to 35% increase in maintenance would be inconvenient enough to want to leave, but not game breaking enough to not be able to stay 3) you could VERY SLIGHTLY increase tile to animal ratio
  18. I guess? but you still get good favor from 75ql products. so you have to breed 10% or 15% more horses. big deal.

However I've only ever found 1, so I don't see it as that big a deal depends on what you mean by 'near' Lets be honest here, you guys control almost all of everything NOT starter. Maybe you simply want them to spawn at your deed? disagree with this one, as it makes no difference. You have to capture 4 to win Hota, which makes this a non-issue And I have to say I'm not sure what you're saying about triangle deeds on starter? I've been members of both BL and JK deeds on starter and neither had tunnels to other deeds, at least none that I knew about.

  21. The problem with this idea is that is limits all gear to ~75ql which makes it difficult to PvP from the starter island. You guys need to decide if you want a healthy server with more PvP and more people, or if you want to continue just chasing everybody away. Being forced to live on starter is NOT a benefit
  22. I don't really see the point of that. That just forces MORE starter island deeds One thing you could do, is remove the drain benefits. I believe you don't receive any of the upkeep that you drain from starter island deeds, and they can't be automatically disbanded by draining them 5 days in a row.
  23. That has no point really unless it includes mine doors, at which point it makes starter deeds so much easier to raid that everyone pushed back to starter simply quits PvP

  25. I haven't been playing on Defience very long, but I was under the impression the point of a raid window was to allow a person to be online to defend their deed. Since very few people play that much every day are you trying to drive away the remaining players? And remove titles from default kingdoms? All throughout the discussion of PMK's Darklords has said that they want to keep the default kingdoms relevant. So I'm not trying to be rude, but I think your suggestions are without merit
