  1. More general feedback: 1. The only breeding that is going well enough that I would consider it rewarding are the bison. I now have eight 4-draft bison. Of course I fully expect them to be useless compared to horses. 2. For some reason I am now getting a lot of new arrivals at my trait cap. What should be happy news is just another source of frustration, since I feel the need to kill all of them, because they are full of trash traits like "stationary". Makes no sense to breed them since those trash traits would block the draft/speed traits I really want. 3. Breeding my 4-speed horses more often than not produces trash with 1-speed and 3+ misc traits. This is quite frustrating. 4. Having an equipment window for bison but not being able to put shoes on them is just another little needless annoyance. If the devs felt the need for an "easy on gear" trait, then animals should be able to make use of that! 5. It will take months to establish a good breeding stock for draft horses. There is just too much trash offspring with 3+ misc. traits! 6. The breeding timer still being broken 38 days after the patch is a constant source of annoyance. Lots of useless attempts due to this. Fix this asap, it's a huge timewaster!
  2. It would be lovely to have a small cart for hunting and what not.
  3. Got ambushed while meditating today, thought I'd share the moment.
  4. For the first time ever I bred an animal at my max trait cap (70). That roughly translates to a 1 in 150 chance. Not sure, I didn't keep an exact count of total animals being born since the patch.
  5. I like the idea of giving each ship a unique niche. Bumping the sailboat up in utility would also help new players, which surely is a good thing.
  6. Not only quite the straw man argument but factually wrong. It is supposedly two weeks from the last spawn, not the last kill. But looking at Niarja even that doesn't seem to hold true. Why do you argue against a fictional opponent who apparently wants free stuff? This game lacks pve content, and what little content there is lends itself to being monopolised by a minority. There are ways to incentivize making this content more broadly available, starting with scaling up hide loot based on participants or making the uniques harder to kill. Adding tools to roll for loot among participants would also take a burden of those who organise public kills. Being forced to use 3rd party tools for that speaks to mechanics missing in-game. To me it seems that deflating the value of hides is the only way forward to making this content more broadly available. And once it is more broadly available, maybe the devs will consider improving the unique content. Currently they have very little reason to do so, when only a tiny fraction of the playerbase would benefit from investing ressources into uniques.
  7. There is an unfixed bug that messes up timers when you use pre-cut ingredients which were moved from one fsb to another. Could that have been the cause?
  8. Well said. Coupled with the ongoing communication failure I can only think of this dictionary entry as an accurate description of this patch: https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/cluster######
  9. You need them to fullfill the ridiculous journal goals.
  10. First rare speed trait on a brown baby horse. Mother was a 2speed, father was a grey no-traiter.
  11. I guess belated damage control technically counts as "communication"... Many valid issues were raised before release and completely ignored. I would like to echo others here, and make certain that blame is not cast on you personally. Clearly you were not given relevant information in a timely fashion by your superiors, which just puts you in an awful position. The hardcore nerfs to cart/wagon speed weren't even mentioned in advance, no attempts to gather feedback were made. Instead misinformation was and is being being spread, like saying that former 5speeds will "only be a tad slower" after the patch. I think I am not only speaking for myself when I ask that you inform us about your future plans in as much detail as possible. I don't want to be surprised by another hotfix that invalidates all the effort put into breeding since the patch, but frankly with how everything has been handled so far this seems a real risk. More open communication is needed! You have turned you playerbase into beta testers with this patch, which is why I stopped subbing with real money. I don't believe in paying for the priviledge to beta test someone else's poorly designed work.
  12. I bred a few 3-draft bison and one 4-draft bison so far. That being said, I absolutely hate this patch. Mostly every animal born is slaughtered due to a mixture of bad/pointless traits. After three hotfixes parent names are still mixed up and trait points still don't add up. Very underwhelming. I am also wondering about the "twins" trait. If these rare traits are hereditary (and they better are!) then this one is utterly bad since it would prevent offspring from getting the worthwhile rare speed/draft traits. Shouldn't rare traits be good by definition?
  13. That has been my result too. It is either broken *gasp* or an "UP TO" situation. I had varying results from 5 trait points total to 60 trait points total. 65 would be my current cap, but I didnt breed anything that high. P.S. I am also experiencing a hitherto unseen amount of negative traits.
  14. What is the point of adding "it is easy on its gear" as a draft trait when gear only takes damage while a horse is being ridden? Shouldn't that be a speed/misc. trait?
  15. A CM told me today that the issue will be fixed in an upcoming hotpatch. From the way he worded it I think it is a visual bug. He said it wouldn't affect breeding.
  16. Final thoughts on this topic: Your initial hypothesis was that "Currently the system doesn't care about your skill or however much effort you put into fighting. The BEST way for someone to gain participation points is to go around spam targeting mobs in melee range in order to get a "tag". You fail that substantiate that hypothesis, keep shifting goalposts, and call me a liar when I provide proof that shows that skill and effort quite clearly matter for rift rewards. It is obvious that you are making mountains out of molehills here. I hope the devs do not waste ressources on this issue when there are plenty other areas the game could actually be improved upon.
  17. Of the horses I checked only one had the numbers add up correctly, every other one had 5-10 points too many. I guess another patch is due soon.
  18. We tested it today, I placed third behind two priest with his tagger 17 places behind me. But according to him it didn't count because my fighting skill is too high and "he was pretty sure that he saw me tagging mobs". Talk about living in a facts-free zone. https://imgur.com/a/xwjb5f8
  19. Your unwillingness to utilise the testserver for this patch has by now added 40 minutes to harmony's rift length and the servers are still not up.
  20. Even though I find rifts revolting, I am willing to help you prove your theory. I will come to today's rift and fight normally. You bring a 0 skill alt and just tag mobs. When you outperform me on the leaderboard, you have something substantial to bring to this thread. How about that?
  21. I have never done this tagging nonsense, fought fair and square and usually ended up at the very top behind the priests (and Volladol :-p). I don't quite see the issue.
  22. What is OP's message to the people who spent a considerable amount of time breeding ebony horses?
  23. Like you said, they already have such a bonus, but horses with horseshoes outperform them. Did the person writing this announcement not know that, or did they mean to say that the bonus will be increased? It seems to me that unless they get shoes like horses, it would still be rather pointless to breed them or put them on a wagon. Especially when draft horses will be a thing soon. Therefore I am wondering what the devs' vision for them is. I played this game for close to a year now, and Ive seen one "major" patch. It gave me three new buttons during fighting, which randomly change position, and of which one button actually does something. The other two are useless. I'm just worried that the next major patch will be of the same quality. Clearly they must know that people care about animal speed first and foremost. Seeing them add traits for improved butchering loot, which seems completely pointless, makes me feel like they spent even more dev time on questionable sidegrades. Combat has not improved in my opinion and what little they tell us of the inbreeding patch makes me doubt that this one will actually improve the game either.
  24. How come none of the questions and concerns after page 1 are being answered? What niche are donkeys supposed to fill once they arrrive? They weren't mentioned at all in this announcement. What about bison? I assume you have a vision for these animals, why not share them with us? Will animal spawns be changed? Wild horses have been non-existent for many months afterall. Is there a plan for making 0-trait horses once again available? I find it very weird that the new breeding system seems to be centered around in-breeding and (ab)using negative traits.
