I would totally agree with this if it was posted in the auction "Bids from private slayers will not be accepted". I'd still think it's stupid, and possibly against forum rules but sure I could respect that it is what it is. But this is the opposite of "being upfront about the concept". He allowed her to bid and artificially raise the going price of the auction for everyone else then told her privately to ###### off in softer words. while suggesting he has another account posting fake bids. This is clearly rigging demand to manipulate an auction on top of the refusal to engage with someone.

Bump. Just came back from a couple weeks on break to find a tile collapsed on my deed. 2 empty tiles (the tunnel) around it, 3 reinforced walls on one side, 3 reinforced and brick clad on the other. No lava anywhere on deed and no lava has ever been used to remove a vein here.

4665 Shafts can be added to arrow bundles, but are forgotten
Grizwaldo posted a topic in Server Bugs
Adding an arrow shaft to an arrow bundle works as expected, with the bundle size increasing by 1 and the material of the bundle updating to the material of the most recently added shaft. When the bundle is undone, however, the bundle will remember how many hunting and war arrows were added to the bundle and place them in the player's inventory, but any arrow shafts added are NOT remembered or refunded, and simply cease to exist. -

Welcome to wurm, that's the whole game. There comes a point where I think it's worth asking "how much are we going to change for newbie accessibility" and when it comes to rifts, something a fresh account would probably just die if it touched, I think the answer being close to "nothing" is fair enough. At least there's wurmpedia access in-game now. Not 100% the exact changes I'd wish for and I have some notes, but they're pretty minor and I'm no dev so I'll keep them to myself. Plenty of others already backseat brainstorming. Overall, I love the changes and most of them are exactly what I've thought rifts needed for a couple years. I'll be sure to try and break something over on Druska when I have the time, and be careful not to break my hoarded artisan rings.

I believe that's part of the point. If someone's doing something that clearly isn't in the consumer's best interest, to try and appeal to investors, then complaining loudly enough looks bad to investors (and other potential customers) and the guy in charge has to either fix it or get the opposite of what he wanted. Motivating people to put money into this in response to changes you don't like would be counterproductive and incentivize more things you don't like. There is also a lot of actual helpful criticism in here among the non-critical (but still important to voice) disapproval. And I haven't seen any attacks on the work or character of anyone except that one guy who just showed up here. If you don't like the negativity, pull a pro CEO move and just don't read it.

Wurm does work pretty well. Pretty confident it's one of their more profitable properties as a company before the changes. Overhauling it less and improving other things more sounds like a pretty reasonable suggestion.

Considering it's been less than 24 hours since Keenan addressed the much complained about poor/nonexistent communication, I certainly hope there are no uncommunicated changes. It would definitely make the "and we will await more feedback from you before we decide on future tweaks to this system." part somewhat difficult. p.s. I would love to read not one, but multiple pages of patchnotes

Just to throw in my two cents... "We've received reports of [name a couple things that were reported] and complaints about balance, and we're currently looking into it." would have been a pretty simple baseline response to the immediate reactions of "everything's broken" that cropped up, and I believe would have swerved a good bit of the community's frustration about how poorly things have rolled out. Going absolutely silent through days of mass complaints and annoyance with the knowledge that it'll all be addressed in a future update (that nobody in the fanbase knows is coming any time soon, if at all) is effectively doing nothing from a community management standpoint. gnomegates (and a dozen other people) said it best. I know you're busy but just saying "I've seen this and I'll look into it" before is more effective than saying "sorry for the silent wait. Yeah we heard" after, and doesn't seem like it'd take a whole lot more work to post.
