  1. FYI - for the half dozen or so people that PM instead of going to the wiki - white dragon is Blacksmithing. https://www.wurmpedia.com/index.php/Blood
  2. Sorry about the delay in picking up. RL happens. Appreciate the patience.
  3. Spacy is fine. TY Not in a rush, so take your time.
  4. How hard would it be to come up with, say, 1-2 spots on small servers, and 4-5 on xan, and always have the rifts spawn at those spots, and to add in something like starter towns so we can get perm pens, hotel beds, etc.? Along with perm portals to the starter towns to minimize travel? Almost all the concerns my alliance mates have been expressing would be solved with something like that.
  5. jaytoo, a friend was telling me they could get the bracelet, imp with a rare mat and instead of the 1/100 chance to transfer, they got it automatically. Is this the case?
  6. Holy Sites Thread

https://pristine.yaga.host/#582,1437 Blessed Monolith here. Saw the meteor land about 10 min before this post. [16:09:44] A mysterious, impenetrable obelisk that has fallen from the sky and embedded itself into the sand like a spear. It has a benevolent aura. Power: 63.817787, Corruption: 0.0.
  7. Love to see Tarot Cards added to the game. Skill would be Toy making to create the cards, and Toys (the parent skill) to use them. A typical tarot deck has 22 Major cards, and 56 minor cards. We currently have (if I remember correct) 50 stamps from cartography, 56 if we add in the gem stamps. I think a simplified tarot using the 50 existing stamps is more than enough. Perhaps not even needing that many. Perhaps just use 1 similar to how the checkers work when making a checker board would be simpler - but I think it would be fun to have to use all the different stamps. Make 50 different cards (label + stamp). Uses graphic of the label (its about the right size and color, so should be fine) (papermaking to make the labels, pottery to make the stamps, toymaking to turn them into cards) Make 1 card box (uses the stamp box graphic) (Fine Carp skill) Combine the above and it creates a "Tarot Deck" (Toymaking skill) Use 1 - on self. Right click and "give yourself a reading" option. You randomly draw 4 cards. The events window shows those cards, and gives some good snarky responses relative to each card that was drawn. "Ohh, the moon. You have hidden enemies that may strike without warning!, Your second card is The Bison - you will find yourself having to move large amounts of cargo. Your Third Card is the Hammer, just be warned that not every problem is a nail. And finally, you draw the Ship, perhaps you will go on a journey soon to a distant land." Nothing super meaningful, but wait - here is the bonus. You end up with a random 1-2 hour affinity buff, similar to food, based off of the cards that were drawn. You can only get the buff once per 18 hours. This should be a lower difficulty skill, so that players can get some good early Toy skill, but not really go too far with it for skilling purposes. Can use it to skill up similar to lockpicking - once per 10 minutes. Use 2 - another toon. Works similar to using on oneself, except does not give that person a buff. However, it does give that person a tick in one of the soul or mind skills (varies based off religion followed). The card reader can get Toy skill off it. The card reader can get ticks as long as they have victims. The victim can only get a tick once every 30 min (similar to meditating, 5 per day). These ticks should be pretty low, not really a viable way to skill up but more a bonus for doing some basic gameplay. Also, don't want someone to just sit there and grind away doing readings on an alt all day, so a 5 times a day cap should be nice. Thanks. Tried to make this simple so hopefully it would be easy to implement, fun, and using existing graphics and models. Can even change the name to a Wurmian Fortune Telling deck.
  8. So, some questions came about in CA today in terms of fuel usage. Ended up, wiki was a bit wrong and we went and did some wurm science. Wiki said 30kg was max. We think, after some prelim testing, that 20 kg is max. The times on the fuel decay messages were also confusing, so I started to reproduce it, but I did it backwards by adding fuel, not waiting until it burned away. As such, I got a different set of messages as temps were increasing, not going down. I never did get a chance to check the fuel decay messages and estimate their times / amounts of fuel. The fuel page may need some edits: https://www.wurmpedia.com/index.php/Fuel Wurm Science results: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1O3_-evkjsu4n4r4ziRL6-Ht8VdVaNJ50Hgln9m55qdI/edit
  9. Artesian Ring how does it work? I am assuming it is diminishing returns like runes. So, if I have 1 skill, I do 100-1 = 99 * 0.1 = 9.9 skill; if I have 90 skill gain, it is 100-90 = 10 * 0.1 = 1 skill gain? If so, this doesn't fit the mature of rifts. It is assumed that higher level players will be doing these events, yet these items clearly more benefit unskilled players. Depending on how it is added into the calculations for skilling it could actively even hurt a players skilling by providing smaller tick sizes as the calculations assume a higher skill than what is actually there. I would instead suggest a flat skill point but limited skills. Sure, 110 channeling sounds fun but I expect that to really mess up casting as we can already get 109 casts. But the gathering skills would still be capped at 100ql items , just with fewer fails. So, a person with 90 woodcutting may get 100ql logs if they had a 10point ring. Might still be unbalanced, but I think this is at least an improvement over the diminishing returns as it benefits the higher level players as much or even more than the lower level players.
  10. a lot of in game items are tagged as weapons, but if you fight with them are "weaponless" fighting. Unfortunate, as I would love to be going around smacking trolls with a pan. BT might work on a sauce pan (I haven't tried it) as it works on bows not arrows.
  11. Dismounting

Have had a few concerns regarding turning and slopes, where people are falling off horses, carts and wagons instead of just getting stuck.
  12. Wonder if someone will let him know rope bridges are in the game......
  13. For all you doom and gloom people - can I have your stuff?
  14. Rename Chaos back to wilds. Make it so that starter towns are only deeds, else it is undeedable; same ruleset as PVE except keep the volcanoes and critters and mycelium. Safe harbors are few and far between. Becomes a southern islands hunting ground. Might need to have guards attack abandoned carts/wagons/etc in the starter towns. Entire server has decay similar to perm, but perhaps even higher to get rid of all the stuff. Ditto Defiance, except just make it so people can deed there. Needs another island on northern. Epic gets all the PVP. Portals can only be done inside active deeds. Titles carry back through the portals; specifically a title to craft kingdom gear. Change rules so that skill gains transfer back through the portals, but otherwise keep the curve and all the stuff associated with that (the curve basically means it is better to grind skills on freedom anyways). Portals go to both norther and southern isles. Equipment doesn't (just like it currently doesn't).
  15. I was going to bid 15... but ok. Priest alt would have enjoyed the upgrade.
  16. Awww, lucky. I even had a timer set for this one. Never see sup come up, let alone fully imb.
