  1. I was so shocked when I heard the news and I don't even know what to say. Mini was such a valued member of our alliance and Wurm in general. He was one of my top supporters during the wurm streaming I did, always showing up right at the start to say hello and watching the whole way through. When I logged in a couple months ago for the last time to close down my deed, he was online and I got to talk with him for a bit. He asked if I was coming back to wurm and I told him my gaming days were more or less over and that I was moving on. I even sent him my shoulderpads as a gift to remember me by. I just took it for granted that he wasn't going anywhere and I'd be hearing from him again soon. I wish I would have stuck around and chatted with him some more that day. But, I am so glad I got to get to know him and be a part of his life in some way. I'll always remember him and this hard lesson his passing has reminded me of. Not to take people's lives for granted, and to cherish the time spent together. My heart and my most sincere condolences go out to Mini's family, and to all of those who knew him. --Dan aka Prabhupada

  17. Hi there, I figured I would make a post on the forums in case anyone else was interested in joining our alliance. We are a loose-knit group of solo players and a few villages from all over the world. We offer light chat, with a friendly and mature group of people, and an annotated map. We have a discord to keep in touch outside the game. Everything in the alliance is opt-in, no pressure do your own thing. We also have allied with a large village, Elysium, with many amenities to offer if you'd rather join a village. We are located in the area shown below (stars are allied deeds, triangles are other settlements). So if you live nearby and would like to join, feel free to send Prabhupada a tell in game. If you'd like to join Elysium as a villager, please send a tell to Torthur. Or message me on the forum here (I dont check often so if I dont reply, look for me in game)
  18. Hi guys, an update from Bhaktivedanta Manor at N14. I'm part of an alliance with Tavernia and many other deeds in the area. (The Tavernia part is just for reference and may not be current). We've completed the highways shown below in the N14 area. Specifically, the canal has been dredged and a bridge has been built over top (red/blue line). It's also deep enough that all ships can pass underneath. I've included some possible future routes that could be built to start linking the various projects together. No rush though, since we've completed the highways between our deeds, and the canal/bridge, we're focusing on some personal projects. Special thanks - Maximays of Maximays Farm for doing the actual building of the bridge, and grinding masonry to 30 so we could use stone. Archee and Jackschmidt of Eclipse Mountain for providing bricks and mortar. Rebelord of Illutia for lending us his dioptra Prabhupada of Bhaktivedanta Manor for providing bricks, moral support, and ferrying the materials around. Neko, I was up by Azure Dreams yesterday (no one was home) and saw the canal progress so far-- all I can say is WOW!

  20. I started off on Harmony, had a lot of fun, even managed to make a camp on a mountainside. Dug a well, dug a mine, then the noob buffs ran out and the 50 huge spiders / lions / trolls / etc. Got to me. This was before they fixed creature pathing, so my entire mine was filled with monsters, my mine doors kept disappearing, etc. Decided I liked the game enough to go premium and build a deed, but I really didn't like the spot. Tried Melody on another character. I really didn't like the map design with the giant desert and crater-like mountains. Although I did climb one of them and seeing the view from up there was really cool. Cadence is way more forgiving with resource placement and fewer mazey forests to get lost in. It's nice I can always sail to Harmony and Melody later and visit, but I would definitely recommend Cadence to those who want to build a new homestead.
  21. So im a brand new player to this game, it took me a few days just to figure out the UI and mess around with the novelty of things. I, and probably many other new players, didn't realize how competitive finding desireable land for a deed would be. I was actually hoping for a new server release, it's taken me this long just to really grasp the basics of the game. It's crazy to see how much progress has been made already on the new servers, even though it hasn't been that long. I'll personally be moving to the new server, I don't have much attachment to my characters since I've spent much of my time learning and messing around. In terms of finding even decent real estate on the new servers, I'm just too far behind the curve. Just wanted to add my 2 cents.
