  1. Dunno... just the specific topography of my deed... it's still a barren rock, and since it wasn't terraformed yet, there's no gentle, walkable path up, which means that in order to get on the upper part I always have to hit the climb button (even if just for a little bit)...
  2. ALWAYS UPDATED - This post will always show my most recent report. What I have achieved so far (updated) Here's the list with my most notable achievements up to date: - took my time and found a place that I really love for my deed - made a set of basic tools to replace the starting ones that I dropped on day one - made a set of leather gear so I no longer walk around in undergarments - made a 1x1 shed, with a bed inside, so I can start getting sleep bonus (and two more similar sheds with beds on the deed where I moved) - joined a religion (so I can enjoy follower bonuses), made an altar, and leveled my faith to 30 - made a meditation rug, meditated to level 20 (so I can start the CDs), joined Path of Love (so I can start the CDs) and already reached level eight (which means I can both refresh and enchant grass now) - got to 21 body control (so I can ride horses) and to 23 body strength (so I can load items) - made a spirit house and got a friend priest to enchant it so I can send and receive mail - made a small sailing boat, a rowboat and three large carts (one fully equipped with rafts) so I can move freely across the map - made a corbita and load it with about 30 large crates (so I left space for a BSB, a FSB and a few rafts) - made a FSB and about twenty BSBs to store my mats (sorting them based on ql already) - made a crate rack (to be filled at a later time) - made a forge (although not having a mine yet, and still rummaging for my iron) (and one more on the deed where I moved) - started a really small farming plot for cotton and wemp (not vegetables because I relay on the Refresh ability from the meditation path to feed myself) - improved my items as much as I was able to based on my mats ql (that was about 30 ql for cloth items, 19ql for leather items, about 18ql for wood items, about 9 ql for stone items and, please don't laugh, about 3 ql for iron items) and I plan to improve them all to 30+ - and most of all worked on terraforming my deed - I exposed all the rock above the ground and now I'm working with dredging dirt from below water on the additional tiles, to see if I find tiles where I'll can potentially rise the rock level above water with concrete Characteristics and relevant skills (updated) Characteristics: - Mind: 22.13 --- Mind logic: 27.26 --- Mind speed: 20.10 - Soul: 19.51 --- Soul depth: 23.38 --- Soul strength: 20.10 - Body: 25.43 --- Body strength: 25.00 --- Body stamina: 23.28 --- Body control: 24.59 Skills (only those above 30): - Climbing: 33.05 - Digging: 72.41 - Nature: 39.94 --- Gardening: 30.70 --- Foraging: 47.38 --- Botanizing: 33.04 --- Meditating: 50.23 --- Animal husbandry: 40.60 - Miscellaneous items: 43.34 --- Shovel: 48.28 --- Repairing: 37.47 - Woodcutting: 34.49 - Carpentry: 64.12 --- Fine carpentry: 30.96 --- Ship building: 32.75 Deed plan (updated) Deed plan: https://warlander.github.io/DeedPlanner-3-web/?map=https%3A%2F%2Fpastebin.com%2FbGdecawN Current progress projects (updated) On hold
  3. ORIGINAL POST Some of you might have read my old post and you're probably wandering why I gave up on that one and started this new one. Well, I did that because the circumstances changed quite a lot and I feel that the old one is no longer relevant and could even be misleading considering the new conditions. The good news is that I managed to come to peace with the fact that I'm a casual player and I can't play the game like most other people and I now have a healthy relation with the game, where I adapt my playtime around my real life activities and not the other way around, while the bad news is that this means even less time than I anticipated (only managed to sneak-in 18 hours of play time in the last two weeks - from 6 days and 6 hours at the end of august, to 7 days sharp right now), so that meant that I had to tweak and adapt my play style even more. The reason why I'm still posting? Same as before - to show other (new) players that are just considering WURM that they can play the game even if they're time constrained and that there are a lot of different ways they can play it, so they don't have to be afraid to choose the path that suits them best (whatever that would be), even if it a less walked one. Some background info and early decisions 1. Being such a complex and awesome game, Wurm can easily become addictive and since I always try to maintain a healthy balance between the different aspects of my life and stay in control of my time, I decided early on that it's very important for me to set some limits for my play time, so I can be sure that I don't let the game interfere with the other parts of my (real) life. And, in the end, I decided to limit my play time to a total of 30 hours per month (so an average of one hour per day), which puts me in the very casual player category, especially for a game like Wurm. 2. Since time is a scarce commodity for me, I didn't even dreamed at attempting to play the game as a F2P player, so I did purchased the new player bundle with two months of premium time and five silver coins for €11.99 and I have to say that it is a really well thought deal which I would recommend any one, since the five silvers are more than enough to allow you to set your initial deed (presuming you stay within a decent size) and another 20 silvers for €21.99 to cover any potential unexpected expenses for the foreseeable future. Together they're lower than the cost of a good (not even necessarily AAA) single player game which I would probably finish and get bored of in less than a month. From now on, I plan to only pay for my premium subscription and not buy any other silver coins, since, because of my low upkeep, I should be able to easily pay it with the money I'd get from selling my sleeping powder. Jury is still on if, when my initial two months of premium time will expire, I should continue to pay month by month and not commit too much on a new game or go full in, make a large, one year purchase, and enjoy quite a hefty discount (€5.99 instead of €7.99 per month). 3. I decided to stick with a small 21x23 (483 tiles) size for my deed, without a guard, for a couple of reasons. One was that the setup cost was lower than the five silvers which were included in the initial package (exact price was 4s 83c, which included three months of upkeep) and the second one was that it kept monthly upkeep cost to one silver, which is the minimum cost anyway (any deed smaller than this would still cost one silver, so there wouldn't be any savings and basically no reason for going smaller). Also, while there was definitely a temptation to go bigger, I couldn't really justify the extra costs, since 483 tiles is plenty of space for as a single person, and as a casual player I actually doubt I'd even have time to take care of a bigger deed. 4. I made sure that I understood (and accepted) that there are a lot of people willing to invest much more in Wurm than me, both in terms of time and money and there's no way I could even dream to compete with them. That's why I decided to not even try to compare myself with anyone else, but just focus on my little place and on my personal progress, both done at a pace I'm comfortable with and that's what I recommend you all. It may look like snail speed to some (if not most) people, but, guess what... it's not important what they think, but what we think; if it brings us enjoyment then this is all that matters. My deed (where things start to get weird) I decided that, despite the many inherent disadvantages, I'd really to have a little private island all for myself... ideally I wanted an island to match as close as possible my desired deed size (about 500 tiles) - not too big (because I wanted to keep in control both my costs and my required time to maintain it), not too small, with at least some rock layer (essential) and, ideally, also with some clay (optional)... found a few amazing ones, but I was beaten to them on the land race grab race, so I could only congratulate their owners and keep searching. And just when I was about to give up, I managed to find my little paradise... it's not perfect, it's not what I wished for... it's (much) smaller than i hoped, it doesn't have any clay, but hey, it's mine and despite all its flaws I really love it! It has some rock layer, although not very much, but I'll try to see if I can raise at least a few extra tiles out of water with concrete (crazy much, isn't it? hahaha). It is located on the border between K10 and K11 on the Melody server (not the bigger island which you can see on the map that belongs to my neighbor, but the really tiny one south west of it) and here's the first deed planner export of it (I wish that I would have taken one on day one, but I didn't knew about this feature until later on, when some heavy digging/rock revealing already took place): https://warlander.github.io/DeedPlanner-3-web/?map=https%3A%2F%2Fpastebin.com%2FzxG79GU3 My play style (where things get really weird) While I definitely don't recommend this play style to other people, I decided to set some extra challenges for myself: first of all I dropped all the starting tools and started from scratch, then I decided to never use any enchants, runes or items that I haven't gathered, crafted and improved myself and, finally, in order to increase immersion I decided to play in a permadeath mode (so if I die other than because of technical reasons, it is game over for me) Talking about the distribution of my play time, I realized (only after it became a burden that almost made me quit the game) that they key to manage to make any progress as a casual player with limited play time is to try to minimize the time spent on daily chores as much as possible (to a maximum of 30 minutes per day as previously mentioned) and to not spread my resources too thin, but instead try to focus them on one mini-project at a time and only switch to a new one once the first one is completed. This way I should be able to keep reaching mini goals/milestone on a regular basis and have a constant sense of achievement. What I have achieved so far Here's the list with my most notable achievements during this first week (seven days) of /playtime: - took my time and found a place that I really love for my deed - made a set of basic tools to replace the starting ones that I dropped on day one - made a set of leather gear so I no longer walk around in undergarments - made a 1x1 shed, with a bed inside, so I can start getting sleep bonus - joined a religion (so I can enjoy follower bonuses), made an altar, and leveled my faith to 30 - made a meditation rug, meditated to level 20 (so I can start the CDs), joined Path of Love (so I can start the CDs) and already reached level six (which means I can refresh myself now) - got to 21 body control (so I can ride horses) and to 23 body strength (so I can load items) - made a rowboat and tow large cart (one fully equipped with rafts) so I can move freely across the map - made a FSB and about twenty BSBs to store my mats (sorting them based on ql already) - made a forge (although not having a mine yet, and still rummaging for my iron) - got myself a couple of horses to breed and right now I just started breeding my second horses generation - started a really small farming plot for cotton and wemp (not vegetables because I relay on the Refresh ability from the meditation path to feed myself) - improved my items as much as I was able to based on my mats ql (that was about 19ql for leather items, about 18ql for wood items, about 9 ql for stone items and, please don't laugh, about 3 ql for iron items) and I plan to improve them all to 30+ - and most of all worked on terraforming my deed - I exposed all the rock above the ground and now I'm working with dredging dirt from below water on the additional tiles, to see if I find tiles where I'll can potentially rise the rock level above water with concrete Characteristics and relevant skills Characteristics: - Mind: 20.37 --- Mind logic: 24.48 --- Mind speed: 20.00 - Soul: 15.31 --- Soul depth: 22.14 --- Soul strength: 20.05 - Body: 22.77 --- Body strength: 23.46 --- Body stamina: 22.57 --- Body control: 22.16 Skills (only those above 30): - Digging: 69.55 - Nature: 31.95 --- Foraging: 37.53 --- Meditating: 40.34 --- Animal husbandry: 37.27 - Miscellaneous items: 38.09 --- Shovel: 44.36 - Carpentry: 44.40 Deed plan Deed plan: https://warlander.github.io/DeedPlanner-3-web/?map=https%3A%2F%2Fpastebin.com%2FbGdecawN Final thoughts Although I know there won't be many (if any) interested in my diary, I'll keep updating this at least once per month for as long as I'll keep playing. Next (second) post in the thread will always show my most recent report; for now it will be just a copy/paste of this post, but as time goes that one will always get updated with the most recent stats, while this will remain the snapshot of the original stats. Comments, constructive criticism and advises are more than welcome!
  4. Transaction completed, thank you Zilly!
  5. My video card started acting funny today, so I sent it back to service; I will return to the game (and resume posting here) once I get it back. In the mean time, everyone, have a great time and may the RNG be with you!
  6. Thanks for the tip, but, since I had some leftofer lead lumps from my mooring anchor, I already did that (but I have to say that it was quite a struggle, failing about 10 actions before succeeding one) - anyway it's in the OP. I'd love to do that, but unfortunately my computer is not good enough to play at high resolution and I also have no ideas about a good "composition", hence why the deed plans - in 3d mode they look somehow like pictures... but I'll ask around and if anyone living nearby and passing by would be so nice to take some real pictures I'll sure post them here too.
  7. Just a short notice: I updated the original post with the latest changes in my play style and, starting now, I will always keep it updated with the latest achievements, skills dump, deed plan link and projects list, so if anyone is interested to not have to always scroll to the last post.
  8. UPDATE POST Just a short update because, as I hinted in my previous message, I decided to change my approach. Starting now, I'll try to reduce "chores" (maintenance work) at a minimum and try to focus as much as possible on "projects" (progress) and, in order to be able to see some results even with my time constraints, I will no longer split my time doing something else every day, but instead focus on finishing a small project, then move to the next one. And here's the list with my first "projects": 1. build enough BSBs so I can have one for every 10 ql range (0 to 9.99 ql, 10.00 to 19.99, and so on 'till 90.00 to 99.99), then some more for my dirt and sand 2. build a second large cart and fill it with seven rafts to work as a mobile "large chest" 3. level my woodcutting to at least 25 (which will be kinda slow since with only a rowboat I can only cut and haul home three trees at a time) and gather a reasonable supply of 25+ ql logs, so I'll can start improving my wood items up to 25 ql (and then have to worry about reimping 'till they drop to 20ql) 4. level my mining to 25 (which again will be kinda slow since with only a rowboat I can only haul 40 shards home at a time) and gather a reasonable supply of 25+ ql rock shards and iron lumps, so I'll can start improving my metal and masonry items up to 25 ql (and then have to worry about reimping 'till they drop to 20ql) 5. improve all my items up to 25 ql (which, again, will probably take quite a lot of time since my skills are really low) 6. finish dredging the edges of my island, so I can see exactly what tiles I'll can raise out of water with concrete later on 7. raise the NW corner of my deed above water level I'll post a new update once a project is completed and another one joins the queue (I aim to always have a list of at least five projects in the working). Anyway, enough about the future, let's see how the things look in the present. Characteristics: - Mind: 20.16 --- Mind logic: 24.23 --- Mind speed: 19.94 - Soul: 14.50 --- Soul depth: 21.92 --- Soul strength: 20.05 - Body: 22.54 --- Body strength: 23.37 --- Body stamina: 22.56 --- Body control: 21.87 Skills: - Prospecting: 14.14 - Climbing: 29.01 - Mining: 13.39 - Digging: 69.51 - Smithing --- Blacksmithing: 17.79 - Tailoring --- Leatherworking: 16.23 Nature: 30.43 --- Gardening: 22.84 --- Foraging: 36.91 --- Botanizing: 22.72 --- Forestry: 16.91 --- Farming: 14.47 --- Meditating: 36.31 --- Animal husbandry: 34.57 - Miscellaneous items: 37.65 --- Shovel: 44.28 --- Pickaxe: 15.14 --- Repairing: 26.05 --- Sickle: 14.49 --- Hammer: 13.47 - Axes: 12.45 --- Hatchet: 12.78 - Woodcutting: 20.11 - Carpentry: 40.06 --- Fine carpentry: 21.55 --- Ship building: 13.94 Deed plan: https://warlander.github.io/DeedPlanner-3-web/?map=https%3A%2F%2Fpastebin.com%2FbGdecawN As always, comments, constructive criticism and advises are more than welcome!
  9. This is a very sensible advice, but the second deed was not and will not be developed any time soon; I actually only set foot on it (and on Cadence server all together) just once - when I've set it and paid its upkeep for a while. It is just there just because I liked the location and i want it to have it reserved for an eventual future project, nothing more.
  10. Thank you a lot! Both for the nice words of encouragement and for the very good advises. I'm on already on PoL level 5 (three days away of level 6), so looks like I'm well set with this and I should prolly stick with that and forget that PoK even exists - it is awesome, but probably not for a casual player like me. I am willing to buy my premium with RL$ every month and my deeds upkeep is only 2s per month (together), so by selling the sleep powder I won't need much more to cover it, so I will prolly not waste my limited time on the selling to token thing, but maybe I should follow your advice and keep doing my foraging/botanizing, especially they're some of my highest skills already. And yeah, that was my intention when I started this thread... not to brag about anything (because, to be honest, there's nothing to brag with in the first place) or draw attention (although I do enjoy it if it happens - hahaha), but mainly to present a different perspective and show other new players like me that there is more than one way the game can be played, or, as I like to say about sandboxes, there are tons of things you can do, but (almost) nothing you have to do.
  11. UPDATE POST It was a complicated weekend and, more than once, I was on the edge of quitting the game. And that was not because I didn't liked it any more, but the opposite - I got to like it so much, that it started to turn in some sort of addiction and it ended up taking more and more of my time (up to an average of four hours per day as I previously said) and masking me miss out on real life activities. However, after discussing with a few people and thinking it thoroughly I believe I managed to pinpoint the problem which was that I was spending too much of my time doing chores and not having enough time left to work on my projects, which made me feel frustrated and want to spend extra time so I can also see some progress. And now, with the problem identified, I can start to think at solutions to reduce / minimize the time spent on chores and increase the share of my playtime available for projects; and here's the point where I'd need your advice helping me identify possible chores and suggest me which ones I could/should drop. So, here's the list I have far now: 1) Repairs - checking if things need repairing every day so they don't go *poof* can be very time consuming, even on a small deed like mine, but I figured out that if they're high enough quality (think about 20-30ql) they should be safe for at least one week, so I could turn this chore from a daily one to a weekly one. So the plan is to improve any item that I craft to about 20-30 ql then maintain them at that level, and only do maintenance work once per week. 2) Meditation - the level 11 reward from Path of Knowledge (25% passive gain on all skills) sounds awesome, but trying to stick in as many meditation ticks as possible (especially after the first five) can easily become a huge burden, so I really think that for a casual player like me not aiming for that, but just be happy with the Path of Love rewards and never try to meditate above the first five ticks, might be wiser. So the plan is to stick with the Path of Love and only do the first five meditation of a day. That is still under debate. 3) Cooking (which includes gathering cooking ingredients - meat via fishing/hunting and veggies via farming/foraging) - everyone says that cooking (especially at high level) can be very rewarding and I'm sure that's very true for people with a lot of playtime, but in my case, especially since I'd have the Refresh ability from the Path of Love meditation path, I really think it might be wiser to ignore the whole food part of the game (at least for the time being). So the plan is to ignore (at least for the time being) the whole food part of the game (cooking, hunting, fishing, foraging, farming - for food items at least) and just count on the Refresh ability. That is still under debate. 4) Animal husbandry - that's actually one of the things I really like in WURM, but it is also rather time consuming and since I live on a tiny island, I honestly can hardly justify the time investment for some horses I would probably never use much, so I really think that for my particular case, it might be way wiser to stop doing it and just keep a couple of horses, brand them, care for them and don't worry about getting traited ones (at lest for the time being). So the plan is to ignore (at least for the time being) the whole animal husbandry part of the game and just keep a couple of random horses eventually with a nice name and color combination. That is still under debate. 5) Resources hoarding (mainly via rummaging / foraging / botanizing) - spending some time every day rummaging / foraging / botanizing sounded like an awesome plan early on in order to gather resources, since it gave me access to a variety of them (iron, rock - which I would both miss otherwise since I don't have a mine yet, cotton, wemp, vegetables, sprouts, healing cover ingredients, etc), not to mention the change to start getting those elusive coins once the king's coffers would be replenished. However, I now feel that it is too time consuming and I should better spend that time focusing on gathering the exact resources I need instead of going on this hoarding approach - like if I need some wood, cut a couple of trees, if I need some iron, mine some ores, if I need some wemp and cotton, keep some fields planted. So the plan is to replace my daily rummaging / foraging / botanizing with targeted resource gathering (at least for the time being). That is still under debate. So... what do you guys think about my ideas? Good? Bad? Comments? Criticism? Observations? Looking forward for your answers... please help...
  12. I feel a bit sad that my act of kindness wanting to give things away instead of abandoning them, turned in being judged and being asked to give explanations for my decisions, but, anyway... As said in the OP, the second deed was meant for an eventual future project if I would have ever completed my first island and I haven't done any work on it. It was on a different server, on which I was for just about one hour - placed the deed, deposited upkeep for a few months, returned on my own deed and stayed here.
  13. Well, as I explained in another post the problem resides from two reasons: - on one hand, is the feeling of missing out... I feel that I have to log daily to make sure things don't decay, to tend my fields, to groom my horses, to try to gather fruits when in season - on the other hand is the feeling of "competition"... when you see everyone around you skilling up masonry and building nice houses, while you still sleep in a wooden shack it makes you feel... dunno... not good WU, at lest in theory, shouldn't have any of these problems... nothing happens while I'm offline so I'm not missing out and I'm all alone so there's no "competition" that I can feel I'm "loosing"... now if this will stand true or not, I have no idea, guess only time can/will tell...
  14. I'm well aware that WU can be quite different than WO and things may not feel the same without the awesome community that we have on Melody. However, me liking or not liking WU would only affect the idea of me playing or not playing WU. Returning to WO is not really an option, because the problem was never that I didn't liked it enough and I was looking for something better, but on the opposite, that I liked it too much and I started to develop an addiction, not being able to control my playtime, and ending spending way more time in game than I would have wanted.
  15. [PLEASE CLOSE] Taking some time to rethink all of this; people can still PM me on discord though if they really like one of the deeds and plan to actually develop it if they get it; but I won't give them away just to be disbanded for upkeep money. Hey everyone! First of all I want to apologize for spamming the forum with my threads, but I promise that this is the very last one you'll see from me (at least outside WU section). I start playing Wurm Online when the NFI cluster was launched and it didn't take long 'till I totally fall in love with it; it was an absolutely amazing month and that finding WO was by far the best of thing that happened to me this year. However, it seems that I don't have as much self control as I thought and hoped I have, so it end up turning in some sort of addiction and taking more and more of my time (an average of four hours per day) and masking me miss out on real life activities. That's why I decided it would be best for me to quit playing WO (and switch to WU where I can set my own pace) - it is the best game I ever played, but I'm not mature enough to maintain a healthy relation with it, so I'll switch to Wurm Unlimited. But since I spent quite a bit of time, money and sentiments into my time here I wouldn't want to just let them rot away. I know it's not allowed to sell anything for monetary value to recoup our costs, so I thought that instead of letting the deeds disband by lack of upkeep, the animals die away of hunger and the things slowly crumble to dust, I should better give them away to someone who could put them to a good use. Deed one, located on Melody, on the border of K10 and K11 quadrants (private island). It is a small private island, cleared 'till the rock layer (I did that planning to raise a few more tiles of rock out of water with concrete and enlarge it), which has various ql veins (up to utmost) of copper, iron, lead and sandstone - https://warlander.github.io/DeedPlanner-3-web/?map=https%3A%2F%2Fpastebin.com%2FHEbG4MSj It comes with 16 horses (8 named, 6 pregnant) with various traits and colors. It also comes with a house with a bed, a flooring loom, night bsbs (six filled with the sand/dirt that I got from uncovering the rock layer and three filled with a lot of other gathered resources, enough to get any new player started), a filled fsb, a large cart with a couple of rafts, a forge, a vynora altar and a full set of crafted tools, weapons and armor (low ql though). Deed two, located on Cadence, on the bottom right part of the S13 quadrant (private island). It is a small, yet bit larger private island, untouched by man's hand. It has above ground rock layer and two clay patches - https://warlander.github.io/DeedPlanner-3-web/?map=https%3A%2F%2Fpastebin.com%2FJxAwHvG9 Extra I have a rare strange bone (with a very reputable buyer offering 25 silver for it), a finished rowboat, and a sailboat and corbita in construction. This is not a sale or auction so please do not make me any silver offers since I would have no use for them. Just tell me why you want them and what you'd do with them and if any story convinces me you can have them for free. You can replay here, you can send me a PM here on forums, but best is to contact me directly on Discord on Bloodreina#8570 Obviously, I reserve myself the right that if no story convinces me, to not give them away at all.
  16. Hey guys! First of all I want to apologize for spamming the forum with my threads, but I have a really important question that is bugging me and I hope you guys can help me. I start playing Wurm Online when the NFI cluster was launched and I have to say it was an absolute blast and that, despite the very short time since I'm here, I already felt in love with it. However, I do have a problem... I feel that it builds some kind of addiction and it forces me to invest more time than I would actually want to (spent about four hours per day, and with school starting I definitely don't afford this kind of time investment)... On one hand, is the feeling of missing out... I feel that I have to log daily to make sure things don't decay, to tend my fields, to groom my horses, to try to gather fruits when in season, etc, while on the other hand is the feeling of "competition"... when you see everyone around you skilling up masonry and building nice houses, while you still sleep in a wooden shack it makes you feel... dunno... not good. So a few in-game friends suggested that, since I already play in a self imposed "single player mode" (not trading and only using items I gathered, crafted and imped myself), Wurm Unlimited played on my own computer, not on a private server (doubled with the discord chat on another screen so I still have the social interaction) would better suit me since it would allow me to play at my own pace, without comparing myself with someone else and without feeling that I miss out if I don't log a day or a week (since the server would only be up as long as I'm up). Now, based on what I told you, what do you think... WO? WU? Pros? Cons? Advices? Thanks you a lot to anyone who would be so kind to give me any advice.
  17. UPDATE POST I'll be out camping during the weekend and then school will start, so I clocked in a few extra hours to make the "quota" for September, at the moment that I'm writing this I have 150 hours (6 days and 6 hours) of /playtime, which means an average of about four hours since the server launch and 'till the end of September. I know that's about double what I said I'll spend on the game, but, since I was in vacation all this time (so having more spare time) and also being really excited about this new adventure, I considered that i can allow myself to splurge a bit and play for that much in order to have a bit of a head start. It was fun, I don't regret it, but, to be honest (at least about the end), it was also quite tiresome and I'm well aware that I would definitely not be able to sustain such a play style on the long run, so starting with September, I'll be back on my original plan of sticking to an average of two hours per day. In these last few days, I continued to dredge the dirt around my island and I have to say that it started to take shape and I revealed much of the needed slopes (as you'll can see from the deed map). Other than that, I made myself a basic set of leather armor and I continued to improve the rest of my tools a bit (to about 19-20 ql for wood items, about 9-10 ql for stone items and, please don't laugh, about 4-5 ql for the iron items), got a few new foals (although it still eludes me why despite having 30+ AH I still see maximum one, but at most foals none, traits) and started to level up a bit my prospecting. As a notable characteristic gain, I managed to reach 23 body strength, so I can now load things in a cart/wagon/boat. 18. Any news about this... sold, still on sale, out of market?
  19. Trolling

Thraxexus, the same community that (as per your saying) made your friend quit the game, is the community that made me feel welcomed and allowed me to fall in-love with the game. I've chatted from time to time with Holydragon and I really appreciated him for having an idea (to build a big town, where everyone specializes on a certain skill set) and fought to make it happen. I really think we need more people like him and I was honestly sorry when I heard he left the game. However, I have to say that, witnessing a lot of conversations on the Freedom chat where Holydragon claimed he was trolled, I never had the feeling that this was the case... sure, there were some jokes now and then, but I don't think they ever crossed the point of friendly (and sometimes silly) banter that people do when bored, between queued actions. In a community we have to respect and understand each other... but we have to always remember that this goes both ways, not a single way... and yeah, when you feel you had too much, is best to take a step back and close that chat for a little while... just my 2 cents... PS: Despite the flaws of all of us and the inherent rocky patches, I still LOVE our Melody community and I'm grateful for it.
  20. That place is awesome and it was my dream spot ever since Melody was launched, but since the value will more than likely be way out of my price range, I thought on getting really creative and propose you a different kind of deal. So, what I offer you for your island is each and every rare (or higher rarity) item I'll ever get in my whole WURM life (from the useless rare dirt to the fantastic scale jacket and anything in between ). Alternatively, if you prefer so, each and every item I could buy from the loyalty shop in my whole WURM life. It would be a huge gamble for you and it would require a leap of faith / trust, but, it could also turn out in a very lucrative investment plan over time. I totally understand if you'll not consider my offer and prefer one of many cash offers you'll certainly get, but I just feel I had to try and that's the best idea/offer I could come up with.
