  1. Hi Nightdys, thank you for the order. I'm taking a break from boat building. Sorry
  2. Hi, Can you cast 70+ Web Armor on 90ql studded leather pieces? Let me know. I can send the pieces.
  3. Hi, can you add 100+ CoC/WoA/MS to a 90ql Silver Huge Axe? Will this allow me to add Venom, too?
  4. Maybe it can be something simple. For example, if you are adding an auction button so users can access the auction house, you could have an overlay on the button that is a *star on the button to indicate that you have a notification or a mini 1 or something. It could even be a notification symbol at the top bar kinda like the affinity food symbols. [AH] indicating you have a 'change' in something within the auction house. This notification could clear if the user clicks on the auction. Something minimal and not annoying. I don't think it should be something like when you receive an in-game mail because if you are not paying attention to your event window or your screen, you could miss the message. I understand this is a QoL request.
  5. I'm not particularly a fan of reserves. People always seem to complain on the normal forum auctions when they are there especially if they are hidden. If someone can make a compelling case to implement them I'm interested in hearing it. But it will be difficult to change my opinion because someone's coins will be tied up in a bid for the duration of the auction, it seems unfair to me to not promise them the item if they win. Additionally I don't currently intend to allow players to cancel auctions with bids for the same reason. Also canceling an auction because someone you don't like has the lead bid is a discrimination I don't intend to allow. Yeah, I agree to both points.
  6. This is great. I like the idea of a maximum fee payment. Any thoughts about having different timeframes to select and having the 5 copper fee be proportional to those timeframes? For example: 14 day auction = 5 copper fee 7 auction = 2.5 copper fee Also, will there be reserve option if the auction doesn't hit a certain amount? If you are outbid, do you receive an in-game mail or a text notification somewhere?

    Do tell the price!!!!!!!!!!
  8. One issue that I just realized would happen with an in-game auction is selling of unique "packages" like this auction, auctioning off a deed or fantastic cart/knarr Maybe the auction can allow you to bundle items inside a package or container. The container (like satchel) would allow the user to view the items. The auction would only allow for containers that are already mailable or wagoneer (eligible) so it doesn't add development time to the feature. However, would still not work for auctioning off something like a fantastic cart. Larger items could require sellers to transport them to towns and load them into an auction building. The building would take the item, load it into the auction system and allow for the auction to happen. Loading the item would start the auction. Once the auction completes, the winner goes to the town to pick up the items. It could be an auction house located by the water so boats and other large (non-mailable, non-wagoneer) items can be auctioned off. Although this presents an interesting issue, how do you prevent storage abuse on this? For the deed, maybe you can transfer settlement deed title into the auction system. It seems there are trade-offs to the in-game auction that may call for the forums to still be utilized.
  9. A simplified, in-game auction works because of the lack of price discovery in wurm and the uniqueness of some of the items. Eve with its billions of materials doesn't need price discovery because of all the mats and market efficiencies. There are plenty of games out there with functional auctions that do not force users to go outside the game to a website to setup an auction. Someone on NFI listing a supreme or fantastic carving knife needs the market, through bidding, to find the right price. This is PERFECT for an auction. It is terrible for WTS or PC.
  10. I think that is the point of this game suggestion and the point of this post. A lot of comments are overthinking, overemphasizing, or catastrophizing the impact of the auction house. It doesn't invalidate their concerns because there are legitimate points and considerations but its not the end of the world. It is important to not turn a positive feature into a negative gaming experience which is why the devs are asking for feedback. I'm definitely looking forward to the auction feature.
  11. Yeah, this is why a listing fee makes sense with maybe an auction listing time frame so it cannot be abused as a storage system, e.g. people pay the fee and list an auction item at 5g with no intention of selling the item or as a way to avoid decay. I do think there should be a listing item limit because otherwise it could be abused as a form of advertising or some other abuse that I have not thought about. For example, I list 100 individual wood scrapes (renamed as "Buy your boats from me" sort of thing. The limit should not be low as to encourage alts. It being unlimited seems like it would be taxing on the servers to pull an item list from the server database every time a user pulls up the auction. Start at 25 or 50 max limit and see what feedback you get.
  12. Players can always use trade chat, their merchants, and WTS in the forums. Zero fees for trade chat. Trading fees make sense especially as a way to differentiate your trading options. The added convenience comes with an added cost (fee plus tax). How much should the fees be is debatable. I'm a huge fan of adding a game silver sink. To much of it in the in games economy.
  13. I was confused too until I reread the post about 10 times. It reads as if they will be adding this land protection feature for players to use AND keeping the current deed setup on the main maps. It says for "off-deed" option, meaning this linked fence protection. It appears they are considering having two land protection options, fencing and deeding. Which is basically just adding bash protection to fences? Maybe a completed fence section has reduced decay rate or something? Probably has limitations on how many fences can be setup.

  15. So..... is the item still up for auction because I'm looking for a new saddle?
  16. Nice! It looks like the map dump has been updated on the Yaga map! Thank you for updating and maintaining !!!!!
  17. Hi, Can you COD these to Kierkegaard? Thank you Shafts Grape - 1 Thorn - 2 Rose- 1 Blueberry - 1
  18. They talked about it in several sections. A significant amount of players don't use the forums or even have accounts on the forums. You have a player base that doesn't know about the forums, doesn't want to use the forums or doesn't care for the forums that is not available for auction transactions. Why force players to go outside of the game to the forums so you can access player auctions? It makes complete sense to have an in-game auction function. If they can provide an in-game auction that maintains immersion, that's a significant benefit. Asking players to go outside of the game isn't immersive - it's a crutch for a missing game feature. The real challenge is providing a better trading experience while maintaining the game's important economy elements (merchants, mailbox, wagoneers, trade chat, people that run couriers businesses). I'm sure there will be lots of feedback and adjustment once it rolls out to the test server.
  19. Hopefully the AH can be an overlay to the mailbox and the wagoneer system. A way to automate using these transfer game systems and removing the need for using the forums. The AH would could prompt to send via your mailbox or nearest mailbox. It could also use the wagoneer system to load items into the wagoneer. Players could accept the wagoneer delivery by going to the server and accepting on a wagoneer container. I don't think it should be a system that removes immersion like requiring to travel to drop off bulk items to another server or to a deed that doesn't have a wagoneer. Yes, it's a pain to travel but traveling creates an ecosystem like courier professionals or shipbuilders (like me!) for large haul boats for bulk items. It also create local markets for items and merchants.
