  1. This month's bird nest skin justifies me never purchasing a skin... ever... all my desire to purchase a skin... gone... POOF...
  2. The character I run now is Geode, (see my forum signature), I will stop by Tranquility area and stop and say hi.
  3. I'm not moving to another server, have deed on SFI and staying. I support unrestricted Ship Travel rather than a portal system; I am in favor of Ship travel between ALL servers... SFI, NFI, and "Theater" (let the "Theater" PvP rule set remain on Theater server Isles ONLY.) I am not against portals if the Devs put them in... It's just my opinion the Devs should use the transport system Wurm already has... Ship Travel and should build the access to all Servers based on that existing system.
  4. I get what your saying, outside of Wurm I have played Dark Age of Camelot and Eve Online, both very PvP-centric. I remember the experience of working with others towards shared goals and trying to survive... a great experience... a great experience that for me was completely wiped out and burned to complete UN-enjoyment and loathing every time the PvP aspects took over... the virtual "bloodshed", the destruction, all the hard work gone... not to mention the backstabbing, the fault finding, the betrayals that contributed to the carnage... even if it was a simple case of one group attacking another in a "Zerg" I hated the game experience of PvP. Just because some PvE players won't go to Chaos/Epic doesn't mean we don't know of the experience you and others refer to Camelrider, I for one just do not find the PvP costs of that experience worthwhile or enjoyable. I DO AGREE old Mol Rehan Home server felt so much more alive than the servers do now, and Indy after we sailed there as well. Agreed. I don't have any suggetions on how we get this back. For me a PvP server is not the answer. For others it might be.
  5. M19? So is mine, deed "Nettleschyr", if you would please let me know if you receive word of an alliance in our area, and I will do same... thanks.
  6. Ah... a debate... Agreed Blazecraze. I was there too, all the way to JKH and MRH before Indy. I didn't do well myself with some in community, I needed space... so I traveled from the old servers to Indy, then to Deli, then to Release, then to Xan, then to Cadence ...the lands (servers) of Wurm provided that space I needed, I built half dozen small deeds/Homesteads, I provided Wurm real life profit and enjoyed the game BECAUSE there was room to move and grow. Also some would say "just build on old deeds"... oh really? Would You? I have, never was satisfied by doing so. Would YOU build on an old deed? I doubt that many would since all through these years time and again I hear the complaint from new players (and old) "I came to find unspoiled, wilderness land to build something fresh and new" and within a few days to weeks the same players saying "see you later, going to try another game". This is a part of the appeal of Wurm to the wider audience. *** Even if everything decays the TERRAFORMING REMAINS and that is just as a much a ruin as decaying buildings, it is something that is not considered "new", "fresh", or "wilderness". It was someone else's cat litter box so to speak. All these extra servers provided room for old and new players to start fresh, to build something new... cause not all the old ruins will be rebuilt upon. It doesn't fit their dream. Now for those who lament the loss of ingame profit because the player density is lower than you would like it to be, If I may suggest perhaps You move as an experiment to the high population servers like Cadence and see if you are able to do business in a more profitable way... and let the numbers tell the story. Wait... What's this?... That's what your concern about? The point of your arguments? Your profits? Is that why some want Wurm to consolidate the servers? I won't begrudge you your concern, but I don't share it. (I had a character on Cadence thru STEAM I started when it launched and left because of it's overcrowded "feel") I am grateful for the somewhat developed wilderness of Xanadu server. I am not in favor of server consolidation. If it's too quiet where you are try moving to a populated server... Is it too crowded for you? Try Xanadu or another server that's quiet... Use the servers we have. According to the Devs they have plans for a way to travel between SFI and NFI to be implemented soon. Remember this situation can be an adventure depending on how you see it.
  7. Please add Deed "Nettleschyr [4997, 4820]" Thank you
  8. Depends on the player as always. I for one do very much enjoy the changes to Wurm since I left several years ago and I am back and to me Wurm is worth it. I will be going premium again and deeding again. Perhaps this time I can keep from being a complete butthead. Cheers.
  9. Late to the thread, but just getting back to Wurm after an absence of many years. Why don't I as a PvE player PvP? I stopped PvPing in 2003 when I was playing Dark Age of Camelot the zerg taught me that I derive zero enjoyment from PvP. I played EvE Online for years and didn't PvP at all.... I didn't have a problem with how Mythic Entertainment or how CCP designed PvP for their respective games... or how any Game Company designs their PvP... I have a problem with PvP ITSELF. I don't enjoy it and I derive no pleasure from attacking or competing with anyone in any game. To explain this any further would involve me disclosing my religious beliefs and that would be a violation of forums rules so I won't go there. There are perhaps dozens of personal reasons why a player may not choose to PvP.... is it really so hard to imagine that some people just don't want to participate in PvP? I respect your choice to PvP, please respect others choice not to PvP. For some players there may not be anything the Devs can do to change our choice about this topic. Thank you for your understanding.
  10. Almost all my family and friends are abandoning FB due to privacy concerns. For us the time of FB is over. I sincerely hope CodeClub finds other ways of advertising the game. Thank you Retro and Devs for giving away a nice ship to the community.
  11. gratz Samool, enjoy Thanks for the wood type textures for ships, and for everything else too... been waiting for this a long time and is much appreciated. Thanks for the new Dye options as well. Be well.
  12. Good points all around, well said Ayes. I agree... Remove the Fatigue system and replace it with another system to combat Botting (as if somehow the game isn't already designed to encourage it but for the sake of the discussion there we go)
  13. Query... in WU is it possible to: 1) set up a server to have no gods/priests/champions from server creation and/or 2) mod a server to have no gods/priests/champions? Thanks.
  14. fantastic job on the new road, awesome!
  15. After the new graphics pack my graphics performance dropped considerably. I run low memory client. Did the new update forget to check for that?
  16. Agreed... a way without smashing alters and being destructive or obnoxious. Something as simple as becoming a follower in the first place. +1
  17. Let more skills come into Freedom... as a Freedomer ... I don't care one bit... let them come with all their skills... they earned them, let them enjoy them where ever or whatever server they want to go to.
  18. The Wagoneer system is an interesting idea, but I too would have preferred to see a Contract System similar to EVE Online's system rather than a NPC running the roads. My two main issues are as follows: 1.) Wurm's current "players work out an unofficial and informal contract among themselves and hope for the best" system fails in my opinion (and I won't use it) because this is a world wide game and no two places on our world agree on the same standards of morals and ethics, not even here in this small group of players. Players disagreements over trade deals happen far more than they should and GMs are always having to deal with it to some degree or another eventually... and/or Wurm loses Players due to it and Wurm can't keep letting that happen. 2.) Not everyone likes or agrees with how the new Highway system is designed and no matter how useful the new Wagoneer system turns out to be it will never reach full potential because the Wagoneer system will only be as widespread as the new Highway system, and these forums have a noticeable amount of criticism recorded for the Highway system already. Creating a Contract system similar to EVE would have addressed these to points AND encouraged player confidence in the game AND encouraged socialization in the game... because whether the Devs know it or not one of the reasons players don't do more Trade in Wurm is Wurm's primitive lack of some sort of contract system in the first place. I am one of them. Until the Devs implement some sort of decent contract system to protect players and bolster their confidence they can trade with other players without getting screwed over, there will be players like myself that won't participate much in the economy. A contract system would make player feel more secure in their trade transactions with others and maybe even encourage some people to play Wurm who until now haven't, simply because they know sandbox games are notorious for players scams. I wish the new Wagoneer system the best, it will be useful for some players and they now have something they can get excited about. Here's to the hope Wurm gets a real honest and secure Contract system similar to EVE's someday soon. A Contract system where WE the Players can be the Wagoneer.
  19. Freedom Isles servers were fashioned after the original JK Home and MR home server back before Indy when Chaos, JKH, and MRH were connected by water server boundaries and we could literally swim between servers (before ships). JK home server and MR Home server were White Light Home servers that supported Choas White Light kingdoms JK and MR, gods were Vynora, Fo, Magranon. Libilia not allowed to have priests on these servers. Chaos server had an area of the server assigned to a Black Light Kingdom, Horde of the Summoned (HOTS), and had no home server and god Libilia was their patron god. Ships released about this time. Rolf opened JKH and MRH to home server raiding... lots of pitch forks and torches and badly made omelets... I know because I was one of several throwing the rotten eggs... Rolf made new plan and launched Independence and basically told everyone move or drown... old servers "sank below the waves" (shut down). Independence server was first of new servers and followed White Light template. Chaos server was relaunched to accommodate players seeking to play HOTS/Black Light and use Lib priests, but the priests had to stay on Chaos at that time. Until the player gods came out there were no Black Light priests allowed on Freedom Isles servers at all. Any additional updates after that I am unfamiliar with as I stopped participating in religion/follower/priest content about that time. Maybe someone can take from here...
  20. True Owner of the horse Fabiolahunting is/was Magykal. They got loose and she has decided she does not want them back.

Let me know if you want the one I found. I will keep it until I hear from you or a reasonable time passes. I do not want the horse myself and turn it loose if you do not want it yourself.

Now using this forum acct for Geode, Kyrmius, and other characters. Geode forum acct lost due to forum reset 2017 and email was unrecoverable (I will not use submit a support ticket and take up valuable GM time for this since I have this old forum acct I can still use).

  21. True owner of Horse was found. Situation "solved". Forum Mods please close this thread. Thanks.
  22. The horse I found this morning was just west of Freedom Docks. Perhaps a village lost a fence section.
  23. Sorry folks for crawling out from under my rock, but I found on Indy this morning a nice horse that is being Cared For by Mancreator. PST ingame to Kyrmius or PM here so I can get this horse back to it's master. Thanks. If anyone can point in Mancreator's direction that too would be very helpful.
