  1. Camps could also give purpose to lock picking and stealing on PvE.
  2. A few ideas for archery. I'm still just a beginner archer so please forgive me if some of these thing are already part of the game. First: Adjust the UI so that archery parallels melee combat. - If I have to equip the bow don't make me also activate it. - Ranged button in the combat window turns on auto shooting. - Ranged button reveals aimed shots (once skill allows) like melee, selectable with num pad. - Focus effects archery Second: Bows mounts and movement. IRL short bows are short because they are easier to use while moving around. - Mounted archery skill, used whenever shooting while moving. (On foot or mount) - Short bows: Can be used on mount while running or on foot while running. - Medium bows: Can be used on mount, not moving or on foot while running. - Long bows: Can be used on foot, not moving. Third: Some other ideas. - Additional arrow recipe that uses feathers. Increase accuracy and/or damage dealt while taking more damage. - Stealth SLIGHTLY increases damage. - Allow bows to fit into quivers. - Rare+ arrows never or nearly never break. - Add leather to bow recipes for handles. - A quiver that contains arrows will appear to contain arrows. - ALL mods either run or charge when shot at. - Foraging highlights arrows in the area - String break message on screen - Better representation at Rifts
  3. All good ideas. I love the idea of moss growing on less traveled roads.
  4. In a lot of ways 'comfort' is already a big part of Wurm. Although there is no direct measure of it it is important to be well fed, have a water source and a place to sleep. Even 'comforts' like money (deed upkeep) and religion (rare production and more) are already a part of the game.
  5. Right, and many items only require 1 'nails'. I can't imagine building a very sturdy crate with just one nail. But maybe nails are not the ideal item for this idea.
  6. Add fletcher and bower graphics (and likely many others) to shop signs. Add hanging signs that can be placed on the sides of things. Remove the hover over item name from signs so that only the renamed name appears. Similar to carts and wagons. Honestly I don't know why renaming doesn't always completely replace the item name.
  7. I think it makes sense to have the option to turn off the auto attack. It could even be presented as an option to turn off auto targeting. Sometimes you just don't want to fight back. I nearly killed my horse one time because I failed at taming and took a swing before I could get away.
  8. That's a lot closer to me than the last one. I'll be there!
  9. That's a reasonable work around. But doesn't help in every case. It would be nice if it also didn't group similar containers. Say you have a large crate and a small crate of hunting arrows. Because the crate sizes are grouped these would not be next too each other regardless of their name (or wood type). Besides, I hate to waste my hard earned (acquired) crates because I can't sort them easily.
  10. I agree. I was just sending a batch of gems thinking "I wish I could see a total".
  11. Well #2 was implemented in record time. Now we can focus on #1. 🤣
  12. Two ideas to make it easier to work with a large number of containers like in crate rakes. 1: Be able to sort by renamed names. Enabling the name column to sort by the name inside the parentheses first would enable the play to setup a custom sort. 2: Open all containers. By selecting multiple containers and right clicking or clicking the '+' or provide an open all button. This would open all or all selected containers including containers in containers BOT NOT build in containers (like in a lunchbox) or piles.
  13. Yes. But it requires two players and each player needs to have a shaft equipped.
  14. I have not been in rift event. I'm still low skills but would like to be involved. What time of day does it start?
  15. A related suggestion: Sitting on a chair or stool near a table (workbench) could provide extra stamina and/or success rate for particular crafting activities (jewlerymaking, locksmithing, toy making, and others) Quality/rarity of chair and table could be a factor. Add items: folding chair, folding table.
  16. Yes, many containers change their model when filled. This would be a great improvement!
  17. I like this idea. We can already gather snow this just enables the visual clearing of paved tiles (if I'm understanding correctly). Perhaps uncleared paved tiles would slow your movement? +1 for additional chores!
  18. Simply could the cart and wagon models follow the slope of the ground while embarked? It does while not embarked and the hitched horses do. I'm sure this must have come up before but I couldn't find it.
  19. I really like this idea. Preserving an item could require the player inputted name. Maybe these preserved items would be more likely to generate a fragment when the deed disbands. I see a lot of decor ideas and here is one where the player is able to 'create' their own. Love it! Now if only there was a way to create our own armor skins.
  20. I'd love to see more 'people' when I get on Wurm. I mostly play for the mechanics of the game and one of the most interesting is that it's *all player built. That being said if I get on everyday for a week and don't interact with anyone even through chat I start to wonder if I'm playing a laggy single player. That said adding NPC's would, for me, be just 'decretive'. But an interesting idea to put a face on some of the features that come with deeds (no decay and such). Maybe the number of npc's could be based on the size of the deed (or number of structures) and balanced with the number of real players in the settlement. Even have a option to turn off npc's.
  21. 'Marksmen arrows' could have increased range and/or accuracy while taking more damage. Anyone who's repaired arrows IRL knows that the vanes get damaged way more often.
  22. Yes! Also what if you were able to sell your maps to other players? Regions could be determined so that you could buy local, area, region sized maps with varying levels of detail. Examining the map could inform you of how much new or updated information is on the map compared to your current one. A value could be assessed based on the size and date of the map.
  23. I like the idea of using feathers in arrows. I'd suggest a 3rd recipe. 'Marksmen's Arrow' You get the idea.
