  1. I'd agree that making it say "improve a weapon by weapon smithing" would make it more clear and an acceptable compromise.
  2. Improving a bow to ql50 should count as improving a weapon for journal entry.
  3. Make drake hide and dragon scale armor cast/archery buff like leather and studded leather. At least archery.
  4. Save chat window layouts between logins. There are many things that could greatly improve the chat/event windows. But I think this one would have the best quality of live vs dev time ratio. Other ideas: rename chat tabs put chat/events in channels allow filtering of channels in different windows I'm sure this has been suggested before. I know it's not game play but it could really improve the experience.

  7. Yes! I'm meh for the moos but we have to have baas. I would keep sheep around just to hear them baa ever now and then. Add new animal traits. "more talkative" , "less talkative" The 'quit' button can be found by pressing the escape key. jk

  9. I think Wurm needs more pve content. Specifically the VS part. It doesn't take long to skill up so that the environment just doesn't present much of a challenge. I know the main idea of Wurm is crafting and building and I'd like it to stay that way. But there are weapons and guards. But after the early stages of the game as long as you have a sword on you your probably safe. There are a lot of ideas that add challenges that don't add any risk to player who aren't ready for it. I think it makes a lot of sense that abandoned deeds would have a couple bandits you've got to fight off. Bandits also add some story to why crates and bsbs loss their contents over time. Although I don't think it should be too hard to fight off the bandits. I know one of the biggest breaks I got early in my game was finding a deed with a lot of good stuff that helped a lot.
  10. I remember the first time I spotted a gorilla in game. Wurm doesn't have a large variety of creatures but gorilla? I don't hate gorilla, lets keep them and add many more creature types. realistic and fantasy, big and small, weak and strong, dumb and intelligent. I was recently ambushed by a fog spider for the first time. That was cool, keep them just the way they are. I love the history behind them too.
  11. I for one think Child Fantasy is a fitting name for a horse. kids like horses. But I can see the obtuse interpretation. Child Lei just doesn't make any sense but many horse names don't. Again I can see what you mean here too, after pointing it out. System generated names are going to occasionally include some unintended/undesired results. I'd be all for refining the word bank if it came to that but maybe a better approach would be to 'red list' name as they are discovered so they can't be used again. And provide a rename request if the name violates current naming convention policy.

  14. I want to setup my merchant to sell bulk items (on deed). I know the basic idea is to put locks on the chests, crates and sell the keys but I have some related questions. Is there a way to configure perms so that the potential buyer may view the contents prior to purchase? Is there a way to prevent the buyer from also taking the container itself?
  15. Yes this exactly. I think this would help new players and would be beneficial to existing players by providing a way to getting mats without arranging wagoner's or handoffs and probably at a lower cost. Also provides a way to dump mats you don't want but also don't have thousands of them.
  16. Allow personal merchants to buy raw resources. A UI could include a drop down of raw resources and boxes to enter a quality range. The buying player sets the price they are willing to pay and quantity desired. Coin must be added to the merchant to pay the selling player. Rares and finished products are not available to buy in this way.
  17. Allow arrows to be bounded in 10s or 20s with a string. Make it easier to sell arrows on traders.
  18. Double clicking an item on the tool belt will attempt to equip the item. This would allow for faster changing of weapons.

  20. I think this is a great idea! Although I'd venture a guess that much of this data is not current saved. But, it's never too late to start. Everything created before the data began to be saved would just say 'it must have been from the dark ages'.
  21. Bad tea and/or coffee is sacrilegious and an abomination of nature. Drinking such poison should have a detrimental affect on one's faith of any good god.
  22. Allow pavement on hills to include steps. This would regain much of the movement speed lost when going UP hills. However, they would be just a bit slower to go down than a regular slope.
  23. I like the idea but I don't think hot air balloons fit the time period. Maybe a birds eye view could be made available through a falconry mechanic? I think that's been suggested before.
