  1. Rope + leather scrap? To give them a use? I also like the dog idea though, make them more useful than troll fodder.
  2. This thread is separate from other similar threads as it is only for paving. As paving skill doesn't seem to do much at the moment (it might reduce paving timers?), it should be given a use. I propose that after a certain skill level, destroying the pavement has a chance to give back the materials used, with a random ql under 10. 20 skill, 10% chance 30 skill 20% chance And so on, up to 70% chance. The change in percentage chance could increase constantly, eg. 25 skill gives 15% chance, or it could jump up 10% chance each level.
  3. +1 for resource gathering priests.
  4. Stonewood is at 17x 30y on the community map (with related deeds nearby). Doing a quick tally up, I'd say we have about 8 players, with more inactive. We've got a few projects going on; good opportunities to gain a bit of skill. You'd be provided with a house (or at least a plot for a house), and there's enough resources about to pursue any speciality you want.
  5. Doesn't ice pillar already turn a tile into marsh? And flame pillar transforms to sand? Sure I heard that somewhere.
  6. Mr. B, are you being intentionally ambiguous? I feel that some form of clarification is needed, especially if wurm is to grow as rolf and many others envision it to. I'd also like to avoid being on the receiving end of a mute because something I see as perfectly normal/discussable is perceived to be wrong by someone who just so happens to be in a position of power. There's also the issue of mods having different views. The clearer the rules are, the less people will feel wronged and so less arguments. Then we can all be one big happy wurmian family. Sorry if the issue is being avoided whilst some specific guidelines are being thrashed out, but that isn't clear either.
  7. Maybe have a chance (depending on statuette ql and channelling skill) for the spell to fail and the statuette to take damage/blow up, similar to casting coc/woa on tools. Perhaps for a particularly spectacular fail, the priest could take damage. Could also be a way to slightly nerf priests/champs. Disclaimer: I have no experience of priest/champ usage/problems. Just going off complaints about overpowered-ness I've seen on the forums.
  8. And are there different models for different wood types? Or do they all appear as birchwood?
  9. Good point, didn't think about that. Maybe it could be less common than littering, similar to mushrooms?
  10. Bumping as it'd fallen off the first page although it had positive responses.
  11. Yeah, that's why I said models need doing. Sometimes branches have models (only for birchwood maybe?) and that might only be on unstable. But I noticed a few with correct models littering a path and it looked good.
  12. Walking through a forest earlier, I noticed how nice branches made paths look. Plus, it's annoying finding branches when you don't want them and when you do want them, you end up with an inventory full of berries. Branches dropping and littering the ground around trees would add a nice visual touch and make them easy to find, although they'd need to be altered so they don't stack up, like lanterns. Of course, there would need to be individual models for each type of branch. Not gamechanging, but a nice decoration, I think.
  13. How about we keep the current system for up to the first slowdown, then after that it becomes a curve? Maybe it gets harder and harder, i.e the slowdown isn't noticeable at near the first limit but gets bigger and bigger.
  14. help

Upload it onto a photo hosting site, then place the url between the [ /img] tags.
  15. As far as I know, you have to upload them to an image uploader, such as photobucket. Then, the url that your image is uploaded at will go in the tags.
  16. Injures requiring specialist treatment (slings, splints, etc.) +1 Injuries resulting in losing a whole limb -1
  17. Maximum Ef-fort and Greystone industries at 22x34y and 22x 35y respectively are disbanded. Roads are still there.
  18. I really don't like the idea of too many servers. If you say there's no room to build, move away from the howl. If you still can't find anywhere, move away from the sea. If you can't find any then, move away from the road. There's plenty of space to be had if you're willing to put time into looking for it. If we do get too many people to support on the current map, I'd like to see it extended somehow, rather than having two entirely separate servers. (Maybe Rolf's "scenario" engine being tested for epic could be used to raise landmass in the outer edges of the sea?)
  19. Makes it confusing for new players when they can't see whether their efforts to hit that dog are actually working. Plus it seems right that it should be on by default. Makes no sense that you don't see swings by default.
  20. Will that be replacing the current spiders? I quite the big hairy look they have going on at the moment.
  21. Fantastic. So this is what you meant by sheep in our yards.
  22. Makes sense. Personally, I find mining a lot harder to skill than digging or woodcutting.
