This just started Firday night, (US Central). Had zero problems other than the usual lag spikes before this. Game is actually running smoother and faster than it has in a while though. Just certain parts look like poo on a cracker. I believe if it was my graphics chip the whole game would be like this instead of just little bits and parts. Java is up to date, deleted and re-installed Wurm client. Still messed up. Disable GLSL game crashes soon as world tries to load. Unchecking Pbuffer makes it even worse. ATI Radeon HD 4200 And hit "add reply", Kirk out..... Had to uninstall and re-install the Catalyst software. Problem fixed.

Providing and maintaining and monitoring any access to the web is 24/7/365. I don't care if you pay $1 or $1,000 a month. It isn't a 9 to 5 job where you go home at the end of the day I don't care how big or how small your company is or how much your pay is. DDOS isn't a new event and it isn't rocket surgery. TDC and the hosting company fell flat on their face on this because they were asleep at the wheel. The traffic to Rolf's pipe doesn't fluctuate that much in a normal situation because the Wurm population is pretty much the same on an ongoing basis. No action was taken until the other people who put food on their table flooded them with complaints. Then the action that was taken was to punch the victim in the neck while he was down. Hang in there, Rolf, your labor of love is one of the few things in this world I think is worthwhile.

Maybe I'm missing something in the translation but something isn't right with the information you are getting from TDC and your hosting company. Good luck and all, I hope you're able to continue building our home on the net.

Was thinking a buckboard type wagon. The type used to haul the supplies home in most western shows. Also a weather vane could be added to the blacksmithing to put on top of the barn. Maybe a tool rack (carpentry or fine carpentry) to hang on one of the barn walls to hold rakes and shovels and such. The stalls could be used for healing diseased animals or birthing animals. The covered wagon would also add some more tailor, leather and blacksmith skills. Good idea for more content.

The original post was a suggestion of and idea (see what I did there) that I had to change the mechanics of the distribution of the compensation for unexpected downtime. Nothing was implied or said about getting more free stuff from Rolf or anyone, with the exception being Santa Claus. I made my suggestion and gave a short explanation of why and somehow the bus ran out of power steering fluid or the brakes failed and we flew right off the edge of the cliff.

It is a feature of the game and it is not a gift if you don't recieve it. Please think a minute before replying next time, this forum is for game suggestions and ideas.

The sleep bonus compensation is an outdated feature. Before our ability to toggle sleep bonus the compensation was ok after unexpected downtime. Implementing a 5 hour no-drop sleep powder would be better. That or a reserve sleep bonus window for holding the bonus that is given for downtime which could be used at our discretion. The sleep powders obtained from purchasing premium time could remain as is. I make this suggestion because my toons already had sleep bonus the last 2 rounds of distribution so all I received was the aggravation of not being able to enjoy a game I love.
