  1. Happy Halloween from New Festival Cove:
  2. Hello @Uisge_Beatha, @Dorian, @belacane, @Willow, @Xack, and everyone else, Sorry for the delay in responding. I've taken a new job and it has kept me busy, but I must say, great things in Wurm are also happening!!! I am very pleased to announce we've made substantial improvements to the New Festival Cove village ( formerly known as Festival Cove ) along the way. Screenshots from last Winter in-game (ie. a couple weeks ago) are available at https://NewFestivalCove.com - click on the projects on the right-hand side to see all the updates. The news on the left-hand side just shows a small portion of changes. We've also expanded the village size several times since I last wrote. And, our last expansion was a big one! More exciting updates will be coming soon, but I want everyone to know that I do appreciate your comments! You are what helps us to continue building great things!! If anyone would like a personal tour, just send me a pm, and I'll be more than happy to give you one. New Festival Cove is also recruiting new citizens, so if you're interested in learning about the game, and/or building a long-term project, let me know.
  3. @Themystrix I found your horse "Venerable fat kimwalking". Get ahold of me so I can arrange delivery.
  4. Will the "Goblin King's crystal ball" be available to be obtained after the first day of the event? Asking for a friend.
  5. Thank you for the transaction.
  6. Thank you very much Virusmd and everyone that did the imping. It was the first impalong that I attended, and I had a great time at the event. Everything was very professional and appeared to run very smoothly. I was impressed.
  7. Here's your chance at a Supreme Strange Bone! Turns any finished item in your inventory into a supreme item per: https://www.wurmpedia.com/index.php/Strange_Bone Starting bid: 20s 1 hour snipe protection Buy now: 99s
  8. @Angelklaine , > Are there any hints at what was his motivation for killing the guards? I suspect the Troll wanted revenge. As you may know, revenge is a dish best served cold. Reference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H3yfW__c0ss
  9. https://newfestivalcove.com/?p=389 A Troll has killed two (2) local Guards, of the Southeast New Festival Cove Tower Guard Militia, after maintaining a lengthy fight on the mountain. Ultimately, the Troll was killed, after reinforcements arrived. “He (the Troll) had an elevation advantage. I am in shock!”, reported one of the Guards, after witnessing his brother’s death. “We are deeply saddened upon hearing this news, but battle protocol must always be maintained.”, reported Guard Militia Leader, “Vooch”. After reviewing https://www.wurmpedia.com/index.php/Fighting_Skill_Tips , we can examine (post hoc and, in this case, post mortem) why these two Guards died almost at the same time: “Height Advantage. The tank should always get a height advantage over the enemy. There are two levels of height advantage: one is obtained at 20 steep and the second is obtained at 40+ steep. Note: This is the same advantage you get when using mounts, so using both will not give you any more benefits.” Our condolences go out to the family members of the Southeast New Festival Cove Tower Guard, and all those involved.
  10. @Nightbreed , With all due respect, how much time have you spent trying to map this game, and sharing it with the public, like @Hughmongus and @skyefox have painstakingly done? I imagine, absolutely ZERO! C'mon @Nightbreed, get back to reality. You need to show some respect for these fine people spending their time to put together this map. Otherwise, there would be no map. This "so called map" is used by everyone in Independence that has got at least an ounce of brain in them. Let me remind you of the Rules, that everyone uses, on editing this map: (1) If you want anything to be added, post your request in here, with the X-Y map coordinates, and if possible a little image to show exactly where you want it to be placed. (You can use an image host such as imgur.) (2) Only a Mayor can make a request to have their deed put on the map and it has to made here in this forum. 11. Hello @Gawain, I was actually fortunate enough to see @Gumbo 's "Deal or No Deal" game via a YouTube video someone here shared with me. It's located at: The video is awesome! Currently, this area is called, "Leftover Ranch" - a name chosen by @Dorian. As our website says, "we’re going to give out these animals to citizens, alliance members, or anyone on the Independence server, based upon need." Reference: https://newfestivalcove.com/?p=359 Thanks, Vooch
  12. Today, we finished the third Guard Tower at New Festival Cove: https://newfestivalcove.com/?p=370 Special Thanks to Hughmongus for specking out the right location! - Vooch
  13. I ran into this error tonight. This is what I did. 1). Exit out of Wurm. 2). Open Task Manager on my Win7 box and ended the process called, "jp2launcher.exe" Java(TM) Web Launcher. That program was a stuck version of the game.
  14. @Dorian We liked your suggestion and renamed "Fat Farm" to "Leftover Ranch". More information is available at: https://newfestivalcove.com/?page_id=331 Thank you for the suggestion! - Vooch
  15. Hello Hughmongus and Skyefox, Please add: New Festival Cove (30x, 44y) Thanks!
  16. I'm excited to share with everyone several news items regarding our progress this past week: https://newfestivalcove.com/
  17. Allenkey, Let me know if you find that Google document! Thank you, Vooch

  19. I've got some exciting news. Last week we launched a website https://NewFestivalCove.com that shows a list of projects we're doing. Let me know what you think of it. - Vooch
  20. Hello Thekraken, If you are planning to setup a settlement (ie. pay monthly for land), then joining an alliance is a good idea. As the Mayor of New Festival Cove, I'm a member of the Albia Consortium alliance. Our members live along the coast of the Inner Sea. Contact @HughMongus if you're interested in joining. If you are not planning to setup a settlement, then becoming a citizen is a good idea. I run New Festival Cove, and I'm recruiting new citizens to help with the rebuilding of the former Festival Cove area. I control a lot of land and I'm happy to allow people setup a home and help reshape the area back into greatness. We have over a dozen exciting projects going on right now. Contact @Vooch(me) if you're interested in joining.
  21. @HughMongus, This past weekend, with the generous help of Goddessotu, we got the second Guard Tower in New Festival Cove operational. We also built a road North of the Guard Tower on the West Coast Highway that extends into our area where new citizens are building. -Vooch
  22. Please add: New Festival Cove (30x 44y) - We've built one (20 QL) of two planned Guard Towers in the area. @Hughmongus knows the locations, but both towers got moved 1 tile. - @Hughmongus also connected the "Festival Cove Road Tunnel" with the "West Coast Highway" through our town. Thank you for everything you do with the map!
  23. Hello Everyone, New Festival Cove (located South Southwest of Dobra and Freedom Market) is recruiting new members! This is a new guild with old and new players. I'm new and half the membership is new. So far, we've got six citizens and we've only been around a couple weeks. We're from all over the world. Our big project is restoring the old Festival Cove back to its former glory, so if you love building, maintaining, mining, crafting, this is the place for you. Everyone in the guild is cool, so if you enjoy working with people with a mission, consider us. I am the Mayor, so you can contact me in-game or PM me on the forum. I'm online USA evenings and a lot of time during the weekends. You can also learn more about us here:
  24. Hello Everyone, I've been trying to post here, but every time I get home, I login the game and continue building until i go to bed. Exciting things have been happening at New Festival Cove! First off, I'd like to thank @Hughmongus for building the highway through the town. I spent a day with him, but he spent another 2 days finishing it off. Then, he repaired the six colossus statues, and he placed two guard towers for us to build based on my rough location estimates. @Explora Thank you for the awesome pics! @GoldFever I like your idea of recreating the spirit of the place rather than an exact replica. @Alectrys thank you for the awesome videos! That was very helpful in showing how the town used to look. @Syirian It's nice to know you're the Dobra Mayor and our neighbor. We've made a lot of progress over the past two weeks: (1) We got the first of two new Guard Towers built this week! @Hughmongus if you're reading this, the first tower got kicked 1 tile East upon completion. (2) We're also building some stables so citizens can do animal husbandry. We've got a ram, sheep, bull, and cow. And, we have our first two newborns: a sheep and a cow. Hopefully, we'll get some bulls and horses soon. (3) All citizens (there's 6 of us now) have completed their first homes. (4) We added an Epic Portal next to the town mailbox. (5) We started adding lighting, but I read we're cramming too many together (Edit: it's called, "Street Lamp Crowding"), so instead of placing lamps every other tile, we're going to have 4 tiles between each one. (Edit: NOTE: From what I've read it's "50+ QL can be placed 5 tiles apart and still give very good coverage. Mine range from QL 19-60".) (6) We expanded the mine (by opening two entrances) so there are now thousands of tiles to mine. (7) We added a farm so citizens can eat. We serve hot food daily! Anyways, that's our update!
