  1. That's a great site, and I've had fun with it for quite some time! Good to see others looking at it!
  2. I was thinking something similar as well but not sure what would make sense.. "Circle of Protection" is a magical thingy in many games. Maybe make it something you can do with karma that lasts x amount of time and only works for certain things/situations to avoid abuse?
  3. what? is there something on my face??
  4. I'm not sure that I've ever paid my premium in silver even once over the years. The time needed working in game vs the time needed working out of game is incomparable. So many hours of work in game vs what amounts to about 10 minutes of time working at my hourly rate irl makes paying premium in silvers not logical. Also, most of my Wurm time over the years has been spent mining, moonshining, exploring, and fighting, so I don't have any very sellable skills, though I'm now starting to work on that finally. I'm sure paying in real money helps support the game too for what it's worth. Very generous of you, Ajala.
  5. I posted a similar suggestion not too long ago to give us more uses for all the karma that piles up. Sleep bonus sounds great. +1
  6. 51, 61, 71, 81 all sent with the keys. Enjoy!
  7. nm, i have an 81 now, ill work on the 51-81. I didnt think I could go that high but I am. Will send soon
  8. I'll get to work now on the 51ql and 61ql. One of each? I can't guarantee the other qls you're asking for though, sorry.
  9. Max range for long bow is around 50 tiles. OP is suggesting 100 tiles, plus you have to be able to right click menu attack your target each time you fire (becomes impossible at some distance).
  10. I've been to a lot of rifts over the years and never seen this happen. But.. it certainly could. I've always thought it was strange how after the fight you run around like crazy collecting stuff. Why not just poof these rewards to inventory of only the players who participated, like the other rewards. It's silly how you could totally kick ass at the rift but yet, because you don't have certain skills high in harvesting (mining, prospecting, etc), you can't get good rift mats. It's also a bit unfair sometimes too in that while some players are doing the work to finish the rift (burning, etc), other players are already just waiting at rift nodes, ready to harvest. When the rift finishes, they're well into harvesting, while those that were working to close the rift are now trying to locate unattended nodes and get to them. It's sort of like firing the starting pistol at a race while only some runners are positioned at the starting line. Remove this silly mechanic and the ability of non-participants to come collect rewards by poofing ALL appropriate rewards to participants and that's it. Or maybe pop a window that allows you to pick which rewards you want based on your performance. Or add it to the rift reward points shop.
  11. Another component missing to make the hay system a more sensible part of the game is demand. There's just not a whole lot of need for it. Now, if certain livestock animals explicitly required it during winter, like irl, then you'd see much more use, interest in it, and some trade happening perhaps. Otherwise, there's little point to it, especially when it requires the work discussed above in the thread.
  12. Yes, you already said that... Trade offers an avenue to exchange goods or services. Missions would dictate exactly how those goods or services are procured and wouldn't even necessarily involve an exchange of anything from one player to another. There's a difference. You always trolling everyone's suggestions..
  13. Not sure if it belongs in this thread but I just fought a lava fiend through a bridge. I was on the ground to the side of the bridge, he was on the second bridge portion going up (bridge/ramp). RIP mob poking me through railing of wooden bridge.
  14. Now this could have the potential to be extremely entertaining. Yes please
  15. This. Did everyone forget that you can really shorten rifts by burning hearts. They are a bit of a time investment, but it is somewhat controllable by burning. Now the travel time will be more than battle time. I'm sort of disappointed by this but at least the warmaster gives good points now. Will be interesting to see how often attendees vote for burning vs wm now. Maybe a better change would have been to allow for a more easy choice between burning and the wm. Make it require fewer hearts and ability to burn while spawning is still happening, but then leave the 4 waves. That way the particular group in attendance can more easily speed it up if they like or take the long road should they desire. Now, everyone just gets a much shorter event even if they enjoy the longer battle.
  16. Interesting idea! Add flies to the corpse, which are already in game, for an idea of length of time deceased. Also, this skill would imply an intimate knowledge of animal biology and could maybe be a good segway or component for the long-suggested taxidermy skill too.
  17. Is there a secret message written in blood there? What are you trying to tell us, Stan?! I'll be bringing my Little Orphan Annie Decoder Pen to this one for sure.
  18. Oh ok, I see. It looks like it's any skills relevant to armor - leatherworking, cloth tailoring, etc. Blacksmithing isn't denoted as doing that though on the titles page. Thanks for the clarity Lovelie.
  19. Both buildings have bridges attached to them, however, the animals aren't coming in via a bridge. I'm aware of that issue and see it happen often enough. In the case of the bear and the chicken, they had already been in the building for quite some time, no use of bridge to pop inside. Bear went untame and climbed the steps before my eyes after attacking through floor. In the case of the chicken, it just ran up the steps and continued on a course that looked like it was climbing invisible steps above the real ones to finally poof through the roof to the outside. In my cave storage area, although a bridge is connected as a ramp to the second floor, mobs typically wander in on the first floor through the arched/open walls then begin attacking me through the floor if I'm upstairs - no bridge involved (unless somehow in the code it's causing the attack-through-floors ability?) Hope that helps
  20. Is there no one with 100 in a characteristic yet? I checked some of the top players on wurmnode and niarja and don't see any. I only ask because there's never been a 100 column on the wurmpedia titles page. Should there be 100 column anyway? As a new player, the lack of a column there might very likely make it seem as if 90 is the best you can do.
  21. Yeah, I don't understand why only one title gives bonus stuff while all the others give nothing. Just strange. Err wait... Now I'm looking on the wiki and it says "Using a title of the appropriate skill while improving items that count as human or horse armour gives a bonus to imping". Like you, I always thought it was just help with imps on armor. Do other titles also give imp bonuses like it says?
  22. Attacking through the floor has been a thing for a while afaik. Happens all the time in my cave storage area. Mobs wander in (arched lower walls) and will attack me through floor when I'm on the floor above them. The whole fight can play out, to the death, with them landing blows as well as me, but you have to move to just the right sweet spot to land regular hits, otherwise hits are infrequent.
  23. Can they not climb stairs? I had 2 animals recently walk upstairs indoors. A bear that went untame on first floor and then literally climbed up the steps to attack me on second floor and a chicken that ran up the steps and then out through the solid roof when I tried to recapture it after coming out of its coop for lack of food. (I posted about the chicken in bugs thread but not the bear) Animals getting smarter and chickens getting magical.
