  1. It was not getting out of hand. People were discussing their opinions, and staff was clearly getting upset that many of the opinions didn't favor what was in the update. Then it got locked by Darklords, who then jumped into another thread and picked right back up with the back and forth on the same subject. Didn't make much sense to me... but it did erase many thoughts shared by players including myself - which seemed really crappy when no rules were broken. And very much agree with Elentari's words above. From now on you see, it's best we just smile and say good job. Dissenting opinions not tolerated, and posts can be deleted for the new forums rule that says that posts must be in complete agreement with staff opinions. Isn't one of the big hallmarks of game success these days actually the ability for the players to easily communicate with a staff that takes critique just as willingly as it takes praise and grows from it all? Seems like a big deal, say, like in Steam reviews and other places.
  2. Does a repair-all option really need to not go off of ML or normal ql loss systems? If you borked it that badly with penalties, it would just end up an option that no one uses, ie - a waste of dev time to have done in the first place. As to limitations due to a player's mind logic, for example, having only 5 queues yet 9 pieces of armor: Maybe a slider like Finn suggested above. Or like Madnath's suggestion, something like a little armor symbol that you can click that does the number of repairs your ML allows and changes color from red to green as indicative of the current armor status. Click it twice if needed for the remaining armor to be repaired that wasn't on the first click. If a player just doesn't like the quicker more streamlined armor damage management for some reason, they just open the character panel and address each piece of armor on its own as they wish. It doesn't seem to me to be anything that would break wurm of being the absolute sea of minutia that it is. Just one optional yet helpful button to streamline armor repair while our minds tend to the other 206 things we are trying to concentrate on in game
  3. @Darklords, You had mentioned in another post (which I can't seem to find at the moment), that this would be fixed on the PVE maps. Is there any ETA on this yet? Thanks! Pretty rough time-waster when players are out searching for something that has poofed and no longer exists on the map 😦
  4. You can mail to an alt, and they must pay to accept the mail, like anyone else. Items in transit in the mail system (after being sent and before being accepted) do not take damage. Maybe there is some clever work-around, but it just doesn't seem fair how doing good or doing what is requested by others can cause the sender to have to pay when they ultimately did nothing wrong. As it stands now, one could also use alts to repeatedly request goods be sent to them by someone they don't like, then continue to just ignore mail notifications which end up with the mail being returned and the sender having to pony up coin.
  5. Like the title says. I will say that I do understand paying the cost of intentionally returned mail. But we shouldn't have to be penalized for mail that is returned because it got timed out while waiting for acceptance. Lately I've felt the burn a few times sending free armor sets to help new folks, then they never accept what they requested be sent, and I end up eventually having to pay for what was just a good deed to try and help others. Other cases where folks go away for sickness or some personal reason, and the sender ends up getting hit with mail costs, are similarly not nice. It just seems like the current setup should be reconsidered because of how it can hurt folks who just did what was asked of them or were helping others and were doing nothing wrong.
  6. this would be a basic and nice thing to have, but in its absence, i just pm myself for things like that. pull it up in logs later
  7. PLEASE Make items in containers entirely sortable by their player-assigned names in parentheses. For example, in my LMC, I have many meals and pizzas. Feline meals, bear meals, jalfrezis, pizzas, etc. When wanting to find a specific food item for an affinity, there is no way to sort entirely by the renamed name I've assigned to each food item. The best I can do is sort by name which just puts similar foods togethers and alphabetizes within each stack. This still leaves me with many stacks of food to scroll in order to find the right affinities I need at that time. This is incredibly cumbersome to the point that I'll often just log if I'm a bit tired rather than struggle searching the lists. I BEG, PLEASE ADD AN OPTION TO ENTIRELY SORT BY ASSIGNED NAME REGARDLESS OF FOOD/ITEM TYPE.
  8. Kings Quest on floppy disk, then the Ultima series and Ultima Online years later 😁
  9. I've personally visited the King's Puzzle Maze twice. So, I suppose I'm willing to do the travel (if irl time allows) when there's something fun or profitable or interesting enough.
  10. Did this happen near a tunnel entrance? IIRC, when removing supports near tunnel entrances or certain turns in caves, this can happen. This caused me major problems once in the past.
  11. Make a way to organize/sort meals or other items by their renamed name in parentheses. Or allow to search for a parentheses name. Make hunting for the right meal in the larder or LMC MUCH easier.
  12. - Make it so that when you click anywhere inside the sleep bonus button that it works, not just in the center of it. - Make weapon skins not disappear on server crossings, at which point you have to remember to unequip/re-equip to get them to show up again. - Make AH breeding results a little less random and a little more based on AH skill. It stinks you can have 70+ skill yet highly random and disappointing results with select genetics breeding. - Make meditating less random in giving skill ticks. At 2 mins per action and limits on location and times per day, there are already enough hurdles that you shouldn't need to face potentially 10 fruitless meditation actions at times to get a single tick.
  13. Many times I've seen new folks not understand what "gl freedom" and "freedom" mean. Maybe rename them to something like "global" and "#current server name#".
  14. I also have a drake hide glove that is colorless. Asking around, I've been told a variety of anecdotes as to why this could be. I've been told that Rolf gave these out as some sort of compensation for issues many years ago, that you used to be able to scrub off the color, that they were a more common thing in general long ago, and a number of other reasons for this. In any case, I'm definitely curious to see how your auction goes and know that this is an uncommon thing to come across these days. Does your boot give a maker's name? That may be helpful in determining more info or age. It would definitely be awesome to have a full set. Good luck!

  16. The page for this item doesn't elaborate on its use like the other sorcery item pages. Does anyone know what it's used for? Thanks!

  18. Sorry for missing these posts! Just sent to treadwell and blaz. Enjoy!
  19. I often wonder this. Direction always seems fragmented and changes without reasons given. However, I do absolutely appreciate all forward progress the game does get.
