There is other ways to make the NPE better, and like someone pointed out, fixing some 100 years old bugs should be a priority. For 20 years now I believe there is 2 ways to play Wurm, The hard way, and the not too hard way. I tried the hard way first, so walked outside Newtown, and a croc got me, then a wolf, then a bear, then 2 crocs, even a bull told me: No Italian Beef for you today. The other is joining a village. But the most important thing, IMO, is that you never forget, and that you always Cherish your first week, month in Wurm. I certainly never will forget, or stop lauging about it. Also FYI, I did not understand a single English word. So I had to learn with a 2007 internet translator. Wurm is not going to attract masses, no matter what. Graphics kill it for 95%? 99%? Of today gamers. dumbing it down wont make them stay.

@Viceren I understand, but like any DLC launch it with high price tag, so only people really putting the money where they put their mouth. yes and early access to those maps to people that pays for it, and in that way avoiding free alts that just go to take land to use in the medium, long term future. Yes I do believe Payers should have way more rights, and free players much less. I loved it during the short time it lasted. JKH for free players, MRH for premiums. If a new map/cluster comes one day, it should be in the form of a DLC. With a good hand made map of the quality that a few WU modders did. They should have new types of biomes, new mobs, new trees, new resources, and different game mechanics. Otherwise, I see no point to move to another map. It should be a Wurm 2.0, nothing less.

The last time I crossed borders was to go to the Altar of Three to become a priest, when swimming was the only way. On server crossing, my settlement deed dropped, ( Deed was then a piece of paper) and took Rolf a week to find it. After hearing all the same story you telling , over, and over, and over again, I refuse to cross servers. No patience to deal with it. At least twice a month I read about this issue just in my Freedom Chat. It is infuriating, and a shame it have never been taking care of.

Never had this kind of friction with other neighbors, without any more data, and names, and locations, distances to other people deeds, etc is hard to judge what dis already happened. But, I can imagine. And I Imagine that yes, you probably a much better fit for a PVP server. In freedom we have etiquettes that we follow to be in good terms with others. Right now Im clearing a forest and making a desert West of my deed. My closest neigboor is 218 tiles North. Get it?
