  1. Here is another thread along the same lines. good idea btw.
  2. Can only domesticated animals be sacrificed? Can any aggressive animals be sacrificed? Can humanoid creatures be sacrificed? Can players, probably by HOTS, be sacrificed? What are the guidelines for sacrificing animals, other than what is listed on the wiki? Does the QL of the Sacrificial Knife matter? How is it used? Right click>Sacrifice? Have to kill the animal with it?
  3. Stew and meat with dumplings, etc are all considered liquids. Had not thought about the sealed barrels, could do sealed wine barrels as well and bring some delicious beverages as well if you go that route. 5 sealed barrels at 45kg each filled with a well made stew should be enough I think. Take more if you think you might need them. Also the liquid foods can be placed in a water skin if you move away from the cart or wagon.
  4. A small collection of extra fishing lines and bow strings (if you use bows) as well for the list. You could collect some of the recipes from Goblins or Trolls, such as rare Eye Ball Stew. It does not take much to prepare it and most ingredients are received from hunting.
  5. Backpack full of Lunch Boxes? While I don't leave home for weeks, for a day trip 2 Tin Lunch Boxes is usually enough for 12 hours or more for me. Make a meal and some soup, to make it all stretch even longer. Also keep 2 frying pans and 2 Sauce pans as well.
  6. Include a strange device as a component for it as well as some chains to make it really cool looking.
  7. This is a great idea. Back when I played Ultima Online we stories in books and collected the various books we could find in the game world, it was a great way to read about the various stories through the history of Ultima. We would write quests guides in them. Guides on how to do things. Kill a friend on an alt, and leave a book in his corpse taunting him They could add add books to the Archelogy items. Players could write an actual Cookbook. Rare books that could be found as loot on various creatures.
  8. On the WU server I play on, most of the players use the passive skill gains from parrying versus sheep for most weapon skill training with new weapons/shields. Not certain how it would work in WO, but it works in WU. Start of with no weapon equipped, shield if you want to. Punch the sheep for awhile and build your focus up as high as you can. Attack 1-2 sheep, then target an animal in a separate pen and attack it. Equip the weapon you want to gain skill in. Since your combat target is unattackable you stand there parrying in defensive mode and skill up. Increase the number of animals attacking you as your skill increases, or if someone wants to practice healing on you.
  9. Sounds like it is probably the minimum skill required to tame it.
  10. Good point. It also shows a continuing interest in having the suggestion implemented, so they do not see it as only a single thread about the suggestion. I would also enjoy being able to pull 100 dirt from my crate and drop it on the ground, instead of a few to inventory and the drop on ground, 25 more times. +1
  11. Would love to add items forged and botanised to the list of items that I want to be able to discard.
  12. Underground cave, with dirt over all the stone tiles it could bash out of is what I read someplace on the forums here.
  13. I think it is a steam hicup. Steam gets disconnected for a tiny amount of time and reconnects and detects you in Wurm when you should not be in it without it running so it kicks you. This is my theory for it.
  14. Those are the events that Brew set up for his 1x vanilla server when I joined it. Been having fun over there since I first logged in.
  15. Fishing event, 2 categories. Highest weight and highest QL. Special reward for the largest Rare or better fish. Archery Contest. Highest score out of 10 arrows, 3 categories. Short bow, bow, and long bow. Imping contest. Whoever imps and items to the highest QL or 5 of a specific item to a minimum QL for all 5 items. Creation Contest. Whoever creates an item, that is improvable, with the highest QL upon creation. Build a boat. The first one to make a rowboat without using any previously gathered materials. Hunting contest, whoever brings down the biggest meanest creature or the one that gets the Highest QL Pelt, etc. Split the into 2 teams, and have them build a small 2 or 3 tile house with ingredients supplied by the GM or gathered/created with a minimum QL ahead of time. Team cart building, the first to make a small cart wins. Lava Spider Wrangling. The first team to build a minimum 4x4 pen, and lure 5 lava spiders into it. Leave one fence or gate needing 1 item to finish, that gets added when the spiders follow 1 player inside. Make sure they build at least 1 exit for themselves to escape. Gather 5 horses, Bulls, cows, sheep, and pigs. First team to complete the round up wins.
  16. Yes I am asking if it is possible for a player to artificially create an ocean tile by dreading deep enough. I understand I may hit rock before to long as well. Is there a minimum depth before a water tile becomes an ocean tile in regards to the fish that are able to be caught on it?
  17. Last night I had an odd idea and now I am trying to figure out if it is possible for me to do it. I started dredging out the bay in front of my town, I wanted it deep enough that Ocean going vessels would be fine to sail through it. Then I decided to see how deep I could dig with the dredge. After this I though of trying to see if I could make it an Ocean tile if I dug deep enough. So my questions are: How deep, in water, must I dredge for a water tile to become an ocean tile? Is it possible for a player to create an Ocean tile by digging and area deep enough with a Dredge? I guess this would apply to world building as well, At what depth does a tile has to be a certain depth in order for it to become an Ocean tile? If I can do this, I will definitely win the next fishing tournament on my server if I drop some Ocean fish on the table and no one else can do it
  18. Some thing happens with Boars. My thought is they starve since they eat meat and most settlements have the animals cleaned out of their areas. on a side note, you can make a couple copper per day just picking up the corpses and selling the corpse to a settlement token. Great way for a new player to make money.
  19. The wiki needs updated then for the Crowbar entry if we can use it for that as well.
  20. I suggest the Devs talk Humble Bundle to do the sale again, with different games + Wurm Unlimited, next year at the end of the school year in the U.S. Was really nice having all the new players come into the game. There were time the 1X server I play on had over 50 new players come through in a day. Some stayed, most left, now our active player count has players on most of the day and night and we tripled the active players during day/early evening times. We had a lot of trolls come in, but we also had a lot of good people come in and try the game out. Some of the stayed.
  21. I just open the pile on the ground, then drag and drop from my inventory to the pile. Works nicely.
  22. Skill gains is one reason I play Wurm Unlimited. Rather be able to gain skills on usage instead of the Wurm Online version.
  23. To increase the storage capacity of a lunch box, they could base it off on the QL of it. Do it in 0.5 kg increments every 10 QL, starting with a base of 2 kg minimum up to 40 QL.
  24. I kept a Mountain Lion in my house as a suprise for awhile, moved it to the breeding pens and about 2 minutes later it untamed. Eventually it would be nice to have a domesticated version. It now lives next to the bear we are eventually going to start breeding, so that we can have 4 tamed bears pulling a wagon for fighting the more dangerous creatures.
  25. Perhaps a specific wall the is only built on bridges? Then the normal wall heights are preserved while making the walls on bridges all match in height between different sections of the bridge. Going to be placing the first bridge on Brew's 1x server, that I know of at least, near the starter town in the PvE area once we finish the terraforming to raise it above the level of the large ships and dredge it so it is deep enough for them as well.
