  1. Rift Inde

Follow any highway toward the big red light. Not hard.
  2. Okay buzz kill Don't play much anymore but gotta say the pics in this thread made me laugh a good bit. More!
  3. Please note that i'm not calling for a new cluster identical to freedom, just for the sake of having fresh starts. That would get old quickly, which is why new systems to incorporate pvp/pve more fluidly into the game would be needed, and new modes would be helpful too. Something new needs to be done. And a new cluster offers a chance for the devs to do something new and big with the game, akin to a relaunch considering improvements made over recent times. Not saying the game is where it needs to be for that kind of thing, but it's a great goal for them. Also, what exactly is it that 90% of those mods do? Bring new and exciting content/changes to the game...
  4. PVP attempting to compete in any market without dumping money in for other people's tools only to spend months playing catch-up, yet still not reaching their level Should a new server on the current cluster happen, high skill players would have functioning deeds before most new players have even arrived I could go on, my main point is that everyone has progressed so far that there's no realistic point to starting on this game. You are automatically worse off than everyone else unless you can put in money buying high enchant tools, horses, and ships. A fresh cluster gives everyone reason and opportunity to begin anew, to experience the game how it should be. No wonder so many move on to WU
  5. How about a new cluster with this
  6. Those're pretty much my exact thoughts; it's one of the main things keeping me from really getting back into this game. Overall, I think a new cluster will be what this game eventually needs to survive. It offers a chance for the devs to try something big and new such as blend pve and pvp servers effectively, or overhaul the game in a massive way. It also offers a great time for new players to be invited to jump in and experience the game as it really should be. The argument that it'll get old again is valid, however that's why you make changes and updates to offer new chances for new experiences.
  7. Better yet, change them all to PVP during their final days You'd have a hell of a time ; )
  8. Main thing i was thinking about was attracting new players; if we ever hope to see a mass number of players come to the game it would have to be through something along these lines. Something new, unique and interesting, could possibly be branded as a re-launch following huge changes? Freedom and epic could act as legacy servers, with the new cluster coming along with fresh everything for a sort of revival of the game. You could argue that with the implementation of a new server may spread the current player base thinner, you have to recognize that even without, the player base is slowly dropping. It will eventually come time where something vastly new is needed. Just some thoughts overall, I just really wish more people would discuss without throwing out the "not enough players" one liner and moving on. It's important to the longevity of the game, yet few discuss it.
  9. Curious about how everyone feels regarding a new cluster. New lands to discover, fresh characters and a fresh economy. Could have a system for cyclical PVP, provide PVE time for people to prep before the fighting begins and after it ends. Could have the timing revolve around Wurm's moons. One Xanadu sized PVE only server with the rest of the cluster being the cyclical PVP/PVE A new cluster would be a great time to make efforts to lead new players to the game, seeing as they wouldn't be years of gameplay behind everyone else. Get the word out, show off the many changes and improvements Wurm has undergone recently. A new mode could also provide veteran players and newcomers interesting ways to play; consider an Iron Man Mode similar to Old School Runescape. Self sufficiency, achieve everything on your own. Just some thoughts from someone who loved this game in the past, but is turned off by the overbearing skill and gear gaps.
  10. Very true haha. Well, i'll be following the news from now on with fingers crossed!
  11. I played Wurm Online quite a bit in the past on Independence. Recently returned, but i'm turned off quite a bit by how many random buildings, walls, etc. there are around on most servers. Is there any idea when a new server may be released? Really wanting to get back into the game, lots of great memories!
