  1. "as in the past" was "Change: Enabled the pvp lead limit from defiance for all pvp servers. You are now only allowed to lead 2 creatures when unmounted, and 1 creature when mounted on all pvp servers." so that's not as in the past, so either it's changed and should be mentioned or a bug.
  2. [02:05:41] You start leading the old fat Haltsimeon. [02:05:41] You are already using that item to lead the old fat Haltsimeon [02:05:48] That item is already used to lead a creature. first is using halter rope, says can only lead 1 animal with rope, second is using a different rope, error message says rope is already in use. have to embark as commander to lead backup and you'll lose it jumping down hills/whatever [04:13:46] You start leading the venerable fat Nadasnicker. [04:13:48] You mount on the venerable fat Nadasnicker as the driver. [04:13:48] You stop leading the venerable fat Nadasnicker. [04:13:50] You start leading the old fat Stardash. [04:13:51] You start leading a venerable fat horse. [04:13:52] You start leading the old fat Haltsimeon. [04:13:54] 8 other players are online. You are on Chaos (594 totally in Wurm). [04:13:58] You leave the venerable fat Nadasnicker. [04:14:00] You stop leading a venerable fat horse. [04:14:02] You stop leading the old fat Haltsimeon. [04:14:03] You stop leading the old fat Stardash. equipping all the horses bridles ignore this restriction, and also the original "can't lead 2+ horses" is ignored by bridles as it's only seeming to do the check when ropes/halter ropes are involved.
  3. it's fine to do assuming no malice was intended, it's weird to say it's worth less than an opinion when you do repetitively as if it's worth posting all of a sudden the thread is named bunny ears, i'm not going to a super depth analysis of a week of godawful posts from the same few people to get a % of bunny ears vs non bunny ears but the vast majority are about bunny ears and bunny ears are the subject matter. if you're trying to shift the discussion away that would be derailing the thread and would be better off making your own thread never said that its fine the forums is an extremely loud, extremely small minority of the playerbase and isn't indicative of the playerbase at large. roughly 30 people have commented from a quick skim, and around half of those either disagree or think "i don't care but an option to toggle is fine" which isn't really supporting the idea or disagreeing with it, so that's a bold claim. that would be new thread territory as it's completely unrelated to the original suggestion post
  4. no it says that it's not unreasonable for people to wear animal parts. it's funny that two lines above you take the devs word as to why they closed it as gospel yet you're happy to attribute meaning to sentences and change their meaning all of a sudden an asiatic recurve bow isn't a longbow, and a longbow isn't a medium bow. cherry picking things you think are better to argue. same period of time isn't relevant when the cultures never met, the chinese had primitive gunpowder weapons before they met europeans missionaries so if it's just time based we'd be allowed to have firelances and didgeridoos, but they'd be horribly out of place in the setting you do this in every single post not my opinion, this is you assuming again. i said there's plenty of things that are way more immersion breaking than bunny ears it's a pair of bunny ears, it's literally nothing. there is nothing to say that it's impossible for someone in a medieval era to kill a rabbit, preserve their ears and affix it to a helmet, and no-one is able to say how it's not period accurate. there is documented proof of people in the medieval era killing animals, preserving their parts and using them as fashion or part of rituals. of all the skins it's not in the top 5 for immersion breaking. it's not in the top 5 for immersion breaking event skins/items either. you're hyper-fixating on one skin and not seeing the forest for the trees because there's literally hundreds of things more immersion breaking in the game. "i don't like it" doesn't mean it's immersion breaking, but if you enjoy arguing for dozens of posts on the forums you do you
  5. my view is that the bunny ears look dumb as ######, idk why you think i share their view i'm just pointing out that anyone that discussed it with the angry people who are posting over and over figured out they're talking to brick walls and stopped bothering and the forum mods ended up deleting the thread entirely. assuming anyone who doesn't instantly support you is firmly against you is typical behaviour for a certain group too, maybe you know which bunny ears aren't even in the top 5 for immersion breaking skins, the long bow skin is a asiatic bow which sure aint a longbow and there's no asian characters in the game to get asian styled bow designs from and the medium bow skin is a literal long bow, the large mauls are sledgehammers and would be too unwieldy to fight with, the goat and stag helms is basically the viking horned helmet myth, there's a literal candy cane skin, the scythe and sickle would be horrible weapons with their current models to fight with and they end up being equal or better to actual weapons, people bringing up that wurm has non-wow looking realistic weapons and the bunny ears makes the game like wow and yet looks like we're already wow because we have similar unrealistic looking weapons people aren't saying "i like immersion breaking things" they're saying "wurm has never shied away from this before" and wearing a pair of ears is no more unrealistic than wearing the face of a troll or rift beast or dual wielding a sickle that'd snap within a minute of fighting someone and a two headed axe. if immersion is important there's so much more pressing matters that take you out of the game compared to seeing animal parts being worn which has been a thing for basically all of time, maybe druids in wurm believe bunnies have special powers who knows that's immersive and lore friendly now
  6. that statement is multiple fallacies in itself, although there's like 5 billion fallacies every statement ends up being a fallacy, even pointing out fallacies in an argument is a fallacy in itself everyone that attempted to have reasonable discussion just got hit with the same three people saying "no you're wrong for not hating it like i do" like a week ago my man
  7. are you people still yelling about bunny ears it's been like a week
  8. seeing as people cut off rabbits feet and kept them as a charm a headband made out of their ears doesn't seem far fetched, im not sure of any superstitions about carrying tank parts with you however
  9. idk how it works on pve as i barely play there but on pvp you definitely still rotate around when using third person and walking, that was fixed years ago
  10. bump still taking clients able of running the game in 4k down to 1fps on any graphics settings
  11. as title, bulk transfer uses the reverse-curved body strength that elevation has, when it was specifically coded to ignore that for other weight checks [20:13:51] You drop 28 stone shards. [20:13:53] Heave-ho, moving a whole plethora (199) of stone shards at the rate of 17 per second!
  12. no woa - 12 seconds 100 woa - 16 seconds normal servers are 24 seconds no woa 16 seconds woa so it's removing epics 2x speed if it's casted
  13. The communication was between whoever had the account before and the new account owner. The gm's can't know for sure if the account was stolen, sold, gifted, whatever when someone else took over it, if you sent them the password it'd look exactly the same as that person somehow getting your password without you telling them (extremely unlikely someone did any form of targeted hack to steal what sounds like a priest alt now). it's entirely a he said she said thing and the current owner has proof that the account was transferred to them. account and password security is entirely on you
  14. the wind is always in your favour with tacking, if you can't figure out how to use it or plan around weather that's not the games problem. Wurm's "against the wind" has 0 penalty to speed and is roughly 70° wide, the remaining direction is all speed bonus so slightly over 3/4 of directions wind will be favourable to you even without tacking or border hopping, so it's already unrealistic and pretty favourable to the player as it is. that's not at all what meta means either. decent boat speed is already perfectly achievable, wind direction is easy to overcome, your suggestion is literally just "tie speed or skill or quality", but you don't want a sailing skill for it to be tied to, and it's already tied to quality, each 1ql adds 1% speed to the boat before wind is added. a 10ql boat is slightly over half the speed of a 90ql boat and under half the speed of a 90ql runed boat so it's a huge difference in low winds as it is.
  15. literally did not claim a single thing you just said, you're just making things up as you always do if there's any wind whatsoever it can always be on your side via https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tacking_(sailing) and border hopping, only zero wind is a problem. this requires player skill not ingame skill so some might have issues with it you can get 20km with near zero wind on a good ql sailboat sure, if you're driving a 10ql caravel or whatever mystical boat you're fitting 20 alts into you might not hit it
  16. only 1/4 of bonus boat speed comes from passengers in pve, the other 3/4 is from ql. a 10% speed rune adds about the same speed that filling the entire boat with accs does on pve. unless you're sailing through pvp for some reason nobody can comprehend that statement is completely backwards
  17. - they paid money for the account - they've had the account for almost a decade and probably put a lot of work into it as they're still actively playing for gm's to talk to them whereas you played on it for 2? years. at this point they've had a lot more history with the account than you have - it's against the rules to give you ownership of the account back - you're essentially making a name and shame stolen account thread instead of pm'ing the person and discussing it in private i can see a few issues
  18. transferring ownership of accounts was disallowed back in 2020 so what are you hoping to accomplish, you cant get ownership of the account back
  19. all two of the people showing up to mag holy sites gonna need some time after that one
  20. 4 parries with a bow against a hell scorp did 0.01 dmg 3 parries with a bow against a boar didn't even do enough damage to show 0.1 neither of them changed ql on repairing unless there's some nfi change to parry damage or you're falling asleep hunting and parrying for 8 hours straight parrying mobs or players doesn't do any reasonable damage
  21. unless it's been completely rewritten without patch notes its based on CR multipliers, but based on the fact that testing in WU gives the same results points towards not changed. ideally you want diseased or slow as theyll never unhitch for a WU explanation, if (folls[x].isDomestic() || folls[x].getStatus().getBattleRatingTypeModifier() <= 1.2F) { this line checks if aggressive or domestic, if domestic it passes. if aggressive it then checks CR multiplier, if it's 1.2 or below it passes if it's above it fails and gives unrulely error you can find the CR multipliers at Creature modifiers As you can see old is 1.3 and aged is 1.2 so it unhitches at that point, hardened has a multiplier of 1.3 so you can only hitch young hardened animals and they'll unhitch at adolescent. fierce raging greenish champion can never be hitched (iirc taming lets them be hitched but tamed stuff dies very fast). a diseased or slow hellhorse would be 0.7 at venerable so either of them will never unhitch or become unrulely.
  22. [17:10:07] You enter the cave. [17:10:09] You stop leading the aged fat Fastecker. doing the fun again
  23. achievements weren't added until the 11/MAR/21 patch, like 8 months after nfi launched. anyone who hasn't played since then (a large majority, as with any f2p mmo launch) wont have achievements even if they did them so the numbers are gonna be off. looking at % relative to other achievements, such as 36.7% of players who finished the tutorial killing a mob, 7.6% of players who plan a house quit before finishing it, 87.5% of players who finish the tutorial quit before ride a horse etc is more accurate.
