  1. I mean, I really don't care. It's cool that you're opening it up to other people. But really the only reason to kill it now that makes sense is that they'll add in flying or something later that means you can't farm the eggs for non-profit. People get so touchy over dragons... settle down I'm not accusing anyone (I don't live on release and have no reason to care if you guys kill this dragon or not), Just passing through and thought his reasoning didn't make sense. The flying or other anti-penning action being added in is a legitimate reason to kill it now, so continue on I'll stop bothering you guys o_O
  2. This makes no sense at all. If you really were against for profit operations you could easily farm the eggs and hold public killings with random loot. You wouldn't be making a profit, and everyone would think you were a cool guy. Personally I couldn't care less about drake armor, as I spend all my time building on a non-pvp server. But don't pretend you're doing this because you dislike people profiting off dragons. You're doing it because you want to get a drake set and get out. Which is fine, but no need to pretend to be altruistic when you obviously aren't.
  3. I brought my bathing suit. Where's the pool? [edit] Oh cmon, it's not fair to edit the title xP
  4. The multiplayer support is the biggest improvement that will make this awesome.
  5. I don't think anyone is saying the feature is bad, it's great.
  6. W/e if you can't understand what we're talking about there's no reason to converse with you.
  7. You're just disagreeing for the sake of disagreeing. There's no reason to have two different methods of digging with different timers. Trying to say you're a martyr for disagreeing and we're whining to Rolf is just sticking your head in the sand as you so aptly put it. You're 100% missing the point. It's not that it's too fast. It's that it's inconsistent. Make both digging and leveling fast, or make them both rely on digging skill/shovel ql. Don't have one rely on digging/ql and one an arbitrary number.
  8. I think the main point is that they probably didn't intend for this to allow digging to be faster. Sure if they want to make a conscious decision to make digging faster than fine, but this seems like a mistake (if they want digging to be faster then regular digging should be faster too instead of just this flatten feature). You should try to read through things before "sticking your head in the sand" and blowing them off as "basement dweller" arguments. Personally I don't care if they make digging faster or not, just that it should be a conscious decision that is applied equally to all methods.
  9. Nobody is arguing that the new choices are bad. Just that digging dirt using them is too fast and should be tied to the digging skill just like regular digging.
  10. Well I'm extending a 21 wide flat out the side of a (45ish degree) mountain roughly 40 tiles, at the bottom it will be 740 dirt tall over three tiles. Apparently I hate myself >_>
  11. My deed needs like 200-300k dirt to finish my terraforming. Guess I better abuse this feature while it's still as-is. But they really need to tie the timers to digging if they want to let you dig up dirt with it.
  12. Here's the best thread I've seen for that. />http://forum.wurmonline.com/index.php?/topic/71682-multi-story-house-pics/
  13. Exactly, that's what I'm saying. The current "reason" we have for the obtuse interface is that it deters macro'ing. But it doesn't. It would be slightly easier to macro keybinds, but it's not like the current system is hard to macro either. I'm making the exact opposite argument that you think I am >_> (you can't deny that it's easier to macro keybinds than casading menus, but the second part of my argument is that it's irrellevant because it's already easy enough to macro the current system).
  14. I feel like this would only be a problem if you allowed more queueing of actions than you do now. Allowing keybinds for creating items, etc wouldn't change anything except making it easier for people who already macro to macro.
