  1. I can't because it wasn't actually ever sold to him. Which is why I logged in the forum account so I could grab logs and screenshots to give to Enki as well as backing it with paypal statements. Sorry bud, didn't steal from you. You did however say the Rara character invited "slimmyballs"(?) into the village and took your magic chest and items? Could you post a screenshot of that invite, least you could do is back anything you and proph are saying with logs or screenshots of that.
  2. Sure if you say so. I'd say $120,000 for two years avg. play time being 8 hrs a day - 5 days a week. I'd say $28/hr of me playing wurm isn't bad wages. And it all started with 1 gold.
  3. My ingame play time defiantly doesnt even total a two years. Not even close. Ive never actually raised a skill other then digging passed level 50 unless you count fighting, I did do that one a few times.
  4. Well of course, when I heard I finally got a thread I had to come look. Who passes up such an oppurtunity?
  5. Oooo Shiny.. I always wanted one of these threads. Can't wait to see what all kinds of fun stories pop up. Please though support your stories with logs and screenshots because hypotheticals and what you heard/believe are two very different things. It also makes this whole thread that much more interesting. "Protected" by staff? No. I'd say that I haven't ever been smacked with a permanent banhammer because no one has yet to actually submit full truths and I have yet to actually do anything wrong. Note I said permanent, I did catch that few day temp ban because I used the valrei lightening spell but that's a long old story (so much fun you can have with that spell). Now Original Aetherwalker, that guy is a genius at getting banned - only person I know to get two accounts banned worth more then half this threads wurm career bundled together and for the same reason to. So since I don't actually play anymore (seriously, I really dont), I really could careless what is posted here - so have fun. Let the stories continue and please include stories of Aetherwalker; we're both reading this as the final chapter to our long careers here at Wurm Online summed together. Fun question: In the 5-7 years I have played this game, can anyone guess how much money has gone through my paypal?
  6. Damn Duce... Their are some people in this game who truly make an impact. Duce was one those guys. Him and Dadd are the literal Benchmarks to what a good wurm play is and looks like. It's crazy how friendships are forged in such a virtual world that have such an impact on our physical one. I know if I lost one the good friends I met through this game, it'd tear me to pieces as the passing of Duce has done so many here. The guy will be missed, I am sure the JK guys are planning something very good for the old man. He will be spoken about for many years to come in this game. Rest easy old man. Wild won't be the same anymore without ya. -On a serious note: It sounds weird but when you write your will, think about your friends you have forged relationships with here. Not saying "leave" them something but when people go missing it makes people raise an eye. I could of sworn old man Wintersolstice passed away years ago but when I logged in few weeks back to see him logged in and he said "Its me you bastard, its really me" it was a bursting moment of joy for me to know the old man was still kicking. I'm saying if this is important to you, make note of it, how will your virtual world be affected? Me personally, inside an envelope their is my life insurance, my will, some letters, and then a envelope with a password sheet and a letter. Inside that letter it details what to do with my accounts, who to contact, etc. Why? Because some of the people I have met in my virtual world affect my physical world so deeply more so then people in the physical world have ever or would ever affect them. So if this might be a final lesson we can draw from Duce, don't leave your friends hanging. The old man passed July 18th and we are finding out a week shy from a month, later. His friends were on the fence of "well maybe?" and that is a shitty feeling to have. Again rest easy old man and condolences to the family, he was defiantly a great guy and a pleasure to know.
  7. I dont know if the image is working butheres the link: http://imgur.com/wdlfTAt
  8. Yep. Can even screenshot it to prove it correct. Push grinding gives little in the way of body stats as the old method of making 100 items and imping them gives tons in body stats.
  9. Selling a Master Carpenter account. Currently couple days left in premium so just turbonerding out mining while the time is still available so mining and associated stats will be slightly higher likely as result. So the account will be self sufficient in mining and woodcutting for both the carpentry skill line and smithing skill line. Paypal verified. Very known seller in this game. 350euro or best offer ---I know that niarja or however you spell it exsists but I am old school, if person wants to share the name of the account when they buy it and post the dump they can. ---No this is not the Ruger account Vyn faith Skills dumped at 13/07/2016-----Skills: 0.0 Religion: 2.2066226 Prayer: 5.643168 Channeling: 1.0 Preaching: 1.0 Exorcism: 1.0 Artifacts: 1.0 Hammers: 1.0 Warhammer: 1.0 Healing: 4.524891 First aid: 10.088111 Clubs: 1.0 Huge club: 1.0544035 Archery: 1.0 Short bow: 1.0 Medium bow: 1.0 Long bow: 1.0 Thievery: 1.0 Stealing: 1.0 Lock picking: 1.0 Traps: 1.0 War machines: 1.0 Catapults: 1.0 Trebuchets: 1.0 Turrets: 1.0 Ballistae: 1.0 Polearms: 1.0 Staff: 1.0 Long spear: 1.0 Halberd: 1.0 Prospecting: 1.0 Coal-making: 1.0 Milling: 1.0 Tracking: 1.0 Paving: 2.0 Climbing: 3.315744 Thatching: 1.0 Firemaking: 3.7432919 Pottery: 1.0 Mining: 79.934746 Digging: 2.1700296 Ropemaking: 1.0 Smithing: 1.0 Blacksmithing: 1.0 Locksmithing: 1.0 Jewelry smithing: 1.0 Metallurgy: 1.0 Weapon smithing: 1.0 Blades smithing: 1.0 Weapon heads smithing: 1.0 Armour smithing: 1.0 Shield smithing: 1.0 Chain armour smithing: 1.0 Plate armour smithing: 1.0 Tailoring: 8.448431 Cloth tailoring: 1.0 Leatherworking: 45.488636 Masonry: 1.0 Stone cutting: 1.0 Cooking: 1.0 Hot food cooking: 1.0 Baking: 1.0 Dairy food making: 1.0 Butchering: 1.0 Beverages: 1.0 Nature: 1.9372848 Fishing: 1.0 Gardening: 1.0 Foraging: 1.0 Botanizing: 1.0 Animal taming: 1.0 Forestry: 2.9475389 Farming: 1.0 Milking: 1.0 Meditating: 1.0 Animal husbandry: 1.0 Papyrusmaking: 1.0 Toys: 1.0 Yoyo: 1.0 Puppeteering: 1.0 Fighting: 31.058664 Defensive fighting: 1.0 Normal fighting: 7.0458245 Weaponless fighting: 1.3992276 Aggressive fighting: 12.091053 Shield bashing: 1.8232077 Taunting: 1.0 Miscellaneous items: 54.03573 Shovel: 1.0 Rake: 1.0 Saw: 7.497547 Pickaxe: 82.55142 Repairing: 48.350494 Sickle: 2.693858 Scythe: 1.0 Hammer: 61.287403 Stone chisel: 1.0 Alchemy: 1.7539358 Natural substances: 2.9888043 Shields: 2.2944286 Medium metal shield: 1.0 Small wooden shield: 1.0 Small metal shield: 1.0 Large metal shield: 1.8010393 Medium wooden shield: 2.418588 Large wooden shield: 1.0 Axes: 62.048748 Hatchet: 88.049355 Small Axe: 1.0 Large axe: 1.0 Huge axe: 23.23479 Swords: 3.880356 Longsword: 8.266017 Shortsword: 2.310009 Two handed sword: 1.0 Knives: 9.534322 Carving knife: 56.73221 Butchering knife: 1.0 Woodcutting: 92.5172 Mauls: 1.0 Medium maul: 1.0 Small maul: 1.0 Large maul: 1.0 Carpentry: 99.39962 Bowyery: 90.001595 Fletching: 90.00097 Fine carpentry: 90.00063 Toy making: 1.0 Ship building: 90.00378Characteristics: 0.0 Mind: 24.477798 Mind logic: 29.904282 Mind speed: 19.876703 Soul: 22.821733 Soul depth: 19.746893 Soul strength: 26.849197 Body: 39.682514 Body strength: 37.89275 Body stamina: 33.22807 Body control: 23.710154Religion: 0.0 Faith: 30.0 Favor: 30.0
  10. You should honestly put "Socializing" and "Making money" on this poll because that is all I do. lol
  11. Everyone does. I like I said in my original post on how far back the comment was made. We're looking back in the time frame of the big forum crash. If all these players are sitting here saying "he said this, he said they were legacy items and not being removed. They were part of the gaming history and development, etc." then obviously that should be a flag of some sorts to the common thinking man. I have several private messages going of people trying to help each other find it. Some trying to dig in archives they cant access. Some scouring through wurmpedia to see if it was logged in there somewhere. People consistently saying he said this. Hell he even said himself that he may or may not of said it and doesn't remember it. Now this is rolf we are talking about. Not calling this guy a liar but he is known to be a bit forgetful. Players were buying these things because they were secure in the fact they werent going anywhere because the were assured by him. They didn't start really going on sell until he assured the playerbase these items were okay. They didnt make a big appearance in the market until the assurance was created.
  12. I like that link to that discussion, I didn't know that discussion took place. I have't began to fully read it but I immediately laugh because I forgot all about another fun little item that is STILL IN THE GAME. So How bout those STEEL SMALL MAGIC CHESTS though? That were created by accident? Those give a hell of a unfair advantage if we're talking about what gives and doesn't give an advantage. @Hordernlegacy item, legacy items, fountain, fountain containers, Q&A, developer q&a, .... those are a few terms. What about the boards and threads lost in the 2012 forum crash? I know a few threads were saved but not all. Some accounts were lost and some were converted to "Guest" accounts. Are those in yalls "archives" that cant be seen?
  13. 1st question, can't answer that one to be honest, I just always found it weird how bad the decay rates were or why my stuff decayed at all. 2nd, I am doing my best to find it, because I know it exists. I haven't been able to find all the Q&A's for the last 5 years but i am confident that it where it came from. However the patch notes whenever the fountains were done even called them and referred to them as legacy items. It isn't uncommon though for staff to delete threads or posts. Anyone who has been around this game any significant amount of time knows that. The purpose of development is to ADD to the game, not subtract from it. This is a subtraction of content whether intended or not, it happened, it was allowed to stay. Rolf acknowledges it as a legacy item, it has been referred to as a legacy item even in its changing. Edit: This forum has been redone a number of times over the years I have been around. Some threads even lost in the move's, some archived so far out of sight, anyone know how we find those? Edit #2: I have found a few Q&A's going back to 2012, but I havent been able to find the ones before that. This is where we need to be is in the 2011-2010 range.
  14. @Niki, that is correct the developers don't get the oppurtunity to play the game to the level we players get to play it. They spend 10+ hours a day coding, we spend 24 hours a day wurming. That is a fundamental downfall in being a game developer you often dont get to enjoy the game you develop to the scope your players do so you just live vicariously through them and continue because your creating something others enjoy. HOWEVER, good development teams and GOOD PUBLIC RELATIONS teams convey information appropriately and make changes accordingly to the best interest of the game. Unfortunately their has always been a huge disconnect between the players an development team of wurm because no matter how great of a job wassoo did, redbaron, and now retrograde, their is still stuff they aren't privy to and conversations they have no idea about. The fact their is volunteer development staff that has come from the player base with personal agendas to attack certain things that the head of development deemed fine is absurd. @Hordern and everyone else who really doesn't understand, let me maybe try to shed a bit of light on the situation, maybe? I have been around the game eh, give or take 6 years or so now. Through this time I have been to chaos and to old deeds such as Sparta before it was leveled, Kyara, House of Mol-Rehan, Original Elites deed, Original Spiders deed, I have been AROUND. I have been able to see some the SMC of some of these deeds and kingdoms. Inside it is not uncommon to find 50+ fountain containers, filled to the max with items, containers with items, or more containers inside of those containers with more items. The keepers of these SMC's generally have them well organized and items named. Maybe it was someones signature from an old friend, we all have those in this game, maybe it was an old bugged item, maybe its a legacy item like .4kg butcher knives or 50kg anvils, maybe it was just a bunch of enchanted wares. If you go into some them it was defiantly not uncommon, especially elites, sparta, and kyara, to find full of drake hide, sets, scale and scale sets. These things would contain thousands of items. Hell I used to have a sailboat that was named "The buggy black rolf" and had rolfs signature because he had to fix a bug. People have things like the Aegis of Earth because it has Oracles name on it. People are collecting items of special metal like silver yo-yo's, tin tools, etc. now. By nature people collect. These fountain containers that HEAD DEVELOPER ROLF declared to be a legacy item that would not be removed because they have had such a profound impact on the game and found such a place, etc. are what allow people to keep a rich history of items and a rich cache of items. You say well go buy LMC's, go buy more them if you want to keep hundreds of items decay free. Um what? When was the last time you properly played with a LMC and how it holds items? This game is in a rapid state of decline via its playerbase, why would I want to inject money, 50s = 50 euro or $50 usd, into this game whenever honestly the future of this game continues to look slimmer and slimmer? Hey Ive been around for long time, Ive done my fair share in supporting this game. Hell I used to do those stupid surveys when we could just to help because I knew he got a kick back of some sorts. Ive thrown gold down the wishing well's hoping for bridges and PVP fixes. I can't see me tossing money at this game like I used to because the game doesn't feel alive anymore. Ive logged in Alexisrose and just watched chat. Ive seen global and trade chat go dead for hours. I've seen forum topics not move. It's no secret I have played the economy and know the economy of this game very well, hell I got spreadsheets and graphs tracking the economy of this game over a 4 year period and it's no secret nor hard to tell that this games economy is taken a turn for the worse. So why would I or any other player for that matter pay 50e to save 100 items. Hell I'd hate to think about how many LMC's Id have to buy back in my prime, damn my head instantly hurts even at the thought of trying to calculate that. If this game ever picks back up, the disconnect between public relations - development - player base, is ever fixed. The development team starts making strategically smart decisions and listening to its player base more, then sure I'd put money into the game again; I'd never spend hundreds of euros though just to store a couple hundred items whenever the storage method I had before was assured to me it wouldn't be going anywhere in the first place. Smelters are great, they are actually cool as hell from what I have seen. Great way to replace fountain PANS for forges. Ambrosia's or whatever the big jars are, they are great for painting boats, other then that who carried around a fountain container with water in it for drinking? Last I checked we all just carried small barrels for that. Where is the replacement for item storage in an efficient manner? Where is a fix to deed decay? Why am I paying for something to decay? Why was this single item targeted but other things like bugged deeds on chaos, bugged weapons and armors, accounts that exploited skills such as: fighting, bows, shield, gardening, characteristics, weapons, fishing, locksmithing, lockpicking, archery, etc., are allowed to remain in place? Why are items we're told will remain given such attention that it required coding time to change and add into the game the change? We're told items such as hitching post, which I would probably say is in the top 5 items requested in suggestions since I started playing this game, are not added because developers dont have the time to code in new items like that but you have the time to... Yeah you get my point(maybe). Hell I've personally done the 3d modeling on the hitching post a couple times as well as other players; one player has even gone to the length of modeling it, coding it, and making it a thing for wurm unlimited but instead of taking the item and adding it into WO that isn't done. No instead we go make fountain containers into items that will vanish soon. I am all for the progression of this game. I love Wurm, I believe it is the mother to sandbox gaming. I believe that if it had a good project manager, solid staff, that it would continue to revolutionize the sandbox world. I sit here looking at the sales of WU and wonder where is all the money? Code Club used to release it's financial statements but I haven't seen a financial statement in so damn long. Why is development moving like it is? Why? Why? Why? Conclusion: So the frustration is not only fountain containers being removed but a compound effect of everything going on leading up to, surrounding their removal and the removal itself. TL;DR - I don't got one maybe someone else can write that up cause this is already 1,254 words.
  15. He actually did say they wouldnt be removed from the game and are considered legacy items. Adding to the history of the game and its development. He said this during one the IRC Q&A sessions bout 4-5 years ago around time my daughter was born. Which leads me to believe that these were only changed because some new developer got into position and was like "Yeah these are stupid" (primarily because they didn't have one) which got Rolf to change it or they changed it themselves then brought it to rolf saying "hey I got a fix for those bugged items". Im for one not happy about this change even though I don't really play because we can pretty much say for fact it was one these newer developers or staff members that caused this change to take place who probably wasn't around when he made a promise to the playerbase that they werent going anywhere and they didn't have one. Windows of Oppurtunities and bugged items are and always will be a part of Wurm. I find it odd that this specific one item was targeted for a change. Players have spent large amounts of money over the years on these items because they were assured they weren't going anywhere. I personally have made at least 3,000 euros alone selling fountain pans whenever I had a cache of couple 100 and would sell them out. So GG wurm another failed move on your end, another promise broken, and another terrible excuse for your development reasoning.
  16. What are the difficulties for digging? Mining and woodcutting were provided but I didn't see anything on digging. Found it. For those interested. Clay = 20 Sand = 10 Tar = 35 Moss = 10 Marsh = 30 Steppe = 40 Tundra = 20
  17. Haven't done one of these Rifts yet. Seen the videos, watched on stream'd live, seen the pictures, etc. and I can comfortably say that Im not excited to do it. I see no reward in being a higher end player doing it because if I am holding aggro and I get smacked in the head as mentioned and I have to back up. Well Im screwed out my reward even though I just did half the damage on the thing. Participation points, Ive heard so many times people top of the rift participation and they'd get no reward and sometimes lower ql seryll then the person at the bottom. I laughed my butt off when I heard about a healer getting a 96ql seryll lump but someone who was super active got a 92ql seryll lump. Im like wait you just sat in the camp behind a gate, casted two times and you got a better lump then the #1 on the participation list. They were in teamspeak like hell yeah, and got a seryll ring but such-such got absolutely nothing but an internal wound and 92ql lump. Terrible FS gains on sleep bonus as well I hear. 1-70 FS aint but a day's work 1-90 a week but still. If your not turbonerding you'd still like at least some kind of decent gains. Im sorry but that is seriously flawed reward system. Completely screwed the pooch on that one, doesnt sound to rewarding to go do those at all. Makes me wonder, whats the unique loot distribution like now? Everyone prem'd in local get blood, hide, etc. still, then the valrei and skull are on the body?
  18. Edit: Deleted my rant. Going to leave though that I feel this is a band aid solution and hope that this doesn't mean sailing isnt going to get an actual overhaul like the player base has been asking for years. I can see where this feature will be come handy, perhaps even stimulating to the economy as people might be more inclined to ship things now but I am concerned for deliverance.
  19. With the addition to underground cave living now their is obviously no shortage of suggestions that can be added to expand the living environment. More walls, fences, gates, etc. One thing I would like to see added outside of those things is a feeding trough, sure this can be great for the overworld to but a feeding trough would feed maybe all creatures in a 5x5 area with the food that is loaded into it. Allow only maybe 2-3 days worth of food to be stored in it so it requires some sort of upkeep and make it so only 1 feeding trough per tile and maybe make it as wide as a single tile. This allows us to keep our animals with us underground rather then making a small pen above ground just for the sake of animals.
  20. Welcome to wurm where developers have a shiny suggestion thread where suggestions very rarely get added or a developers comment. Please visit Wurm Unlimited if you would like this feature. /end sarcastic-truth -1 Colossus were added to be permanent momento's to an area history and a time passed. They are the "ruins" to this game. Dont like an area with a colussus, dont deed it. Dont like a colussus on a deed, dont buy it.
  21. lmao. Yeah kept one tucked away(no not really) and a few shinies for a special occasion. @Judus, I am on AlexisRose. Edit: Requesting to be closed. Heard all I needed to hear.
  22. Pretty much expected all this I guess. Where'd the core go, any decent WU pvp servers? Epic dead to with all that said? My computer is bout to implode running this game. lol
  23. Hi my name is Ruger.... Ive been drug...I mean wurm free for nearly 2 years, in one month it'd be two years. Wurm Unlimited is a thing. Bridges finally made it. Cave dwelling finally made it. What are these Rifts? How is the economy since WU was released? I don't remember population numbers from when I left, how is WO fairing with WU release? PvP still sucks right? 2 years is long time.... Whats changed, whats happened? What is the state of Chaos? MR still a zerg fest? BL still craddled in Daolins arms in the south? Kyara still standing? Someone give me the tl;dr please.
