  1. Retro, you're missing the point. Most people aren't against a teamwork goal, in principle. The problem is even if you get a team together, pray hard, and plan a massive linking session well in advance, you ultimately have no control over the favour pool, which anyone can tap into and drain as soon as it is full. Regardless of whether they will drain it or not, the fact that they can is incredibly frustrating and discouraging and really, really not fun. It's like building a house of cards with a toddler sitting on the table. Your success is as much a function of your effort as it is the toddler's whims. As a side note, there are many reasons why someone might drain the pool out from under your nose with no malicious intent (no involvement on forums, lone players with battery alts, no/little English ability, etc.). To understand just how bad the design of this goal is, take the following analogy: Your goal is go on a trip around the world with a group of friends. The only way to do this (for some bizarre reason) is to use a publicly owned bank account (whaaat? but OK ...). Any member of the public can pay money into the account, and anyone can take money out but only when there's exactly enough to cover the cost of a round-the-world trip. So far, so stupid, right? Well, this is how the revised version of the rite goal works in a nutshell. It's such a strangely unjust arrangement. And yes, life isn't fair. But most of us wish it were more so and prefer social structures (i.e. games) that represent the best attempt at fairness.
  2. Order cancelled due to no response. Hope you're doing OK, Kurois.
  3. Hi, CoD me 12x statuette of miner (metal) fragments and 12x statuette of digger (metal) fragments Please combine before sending to save on mail cost. Thanks ***Cancelled due to no response***
  4. When grinding prospecting, you don't need to move after every prospect action. No one's action queue is so long that being able to queue movement would have any benefit here.
  5. The search continues. Willing to negotiate rate.
  6. What line? Rhetorical question, but seriously, I feel like I'm missing something with all this talk of ninja casting. Has anyone actually started a list? And if they have, why should anyone else respect it? I don't see why someone should have to wait till 2022(!) for their turn just because they were the last to find about it and sign up. No one should feel any guilt whatsoever about casting a rite whenever they get the chance. But the devs should feel responsible for the frustration, discord, and rancour this goal will sow in the community if it is not changed/removed.
  7. Looking for a panfiller to do 20-25k fills using my mats. I have 2k pans and a safe area to work on my deed. Food and bed, if desired, can be provided.
  8. Does that refer to all black, blue, and green dragon hatchling hide shown (0.24kg)? If so, please CoD to Gwyn
  9. Someone with lava tile experience PMed me today and it looks like this is not a bug. Although lava tiles can't be erupted over empty tunnel tiles, apparently they can spread over them, and they can cool in the cave layer before cooling on the surface. Thread can be locked.
  10. The numbers might need tweaking so that the effort of making fertilizer and fertilizing is worthwhile (maybe each fertilizer unit could be used multiple times?), but general +1 to the idea. I like that it finds new uses for ash and milling skill.
  11. Can anyone comment on this? If I've misunderstood lava tile mechanics and what I've described is not in fact a bug, please someone let me know. Bug or no bug, I'd appreciate some info as this has thrown a major monkey wrench into my deed design plans. Thank you from the mountain.
  12. Call me perverse, but I think Wurm has already got this ever so right. The noble futility of chasing unattainable perfection, the law of diminishing returns, the choice between 'good enough' and 'could be better' — however you want to frame it, this is balanced in a way that elegantly models real-life creative processes, at least in my humble opinion and experience.
  13. +1 The arguments have been made in this and other threads already and they are sound. This really needs to go. By making the goal a zero-sum game, it essentially forces a form of PvP on the PvE player base.
  14. It seems that surface lava tiles are no longer limited by, or linked to, their counterparts in the cave layer. I noticed this when returning today to a volcano project I had left unattended for a few days. Previously, the surface lava had corresponded exactly to the cave lava. It was prevented from spreading (or so I thought) by a hollowed-out chamber in the cave layer surrounding the lava pillars. Today, however I see that the lava has cooled on one tile and spread to another tile which corresponds to a mined-out tunnel tile in the cave layer, which I thought was impossible. What's more, none of the tiles currently showing as lava on the surface show as lava pillars in the cave layer. Three of them show as rock walls and one as the empty tunnel tile mentioned above. Pictures: Inside the cave chamber looking north. Inside the cave chamber looking south. The same area on the surface. A diagrammatic sketch of the area, before and after the presumed bug.
