    For me the problem with the old kind of NPC Human was that they wander off! I am glad these ones can't leave the village.

    Something fun I just figured out we can do. New players at Starter Village get used to the static NPCs. In GM mode, I went invisible and stood right in front of a new player, then clicked one of my Custom NPCs to come to where I was. Player thought the NPC was following him around. heehee :-) I forsee a lot of fun to be had on April 1st.

    When I try to do face customization on my male CustomNPCs, I see a female character only on the customization pop-up. The features do carry over to the male NPC, except there is no option for facial hair removal.
  5. I'm having a little bit of trouble finding this. Which of the databases would it be in? I see modsupport, wurmcreatures, wurmdieties, wurmeconomy, wurmitems, wurmlogin, wurmlogs, wurmplayers, wurmtemplates, and wurmzones. None of them seems to say anything about Ocrea, unless I'm totally overlooking it.
  6. I haven't done it myself, but I guess you would delete the word "default" and change it to a colour using the RGB scale. For example, to make rocksalt come up bright yellow, I would think you'd just have this: Here's an RGB calculator, in case you need one.

    I dress my NPC Humans by activating an article of clothing, then right clicking the NPC and choosing Give. It shows up on the NPC.

    This is great! I'd love it if we could attach them to missions. Right now I have multiple NPC Humans at my spawn town, with missions to give a gift and a pop up message if players choose Talk. Mine chatter a lot, and move all over the place. This mod sounds like it would solve those problems, as long as I can still do missions.
  9. I just added corpse to the specialITEMS section, and they show up outlined in the same colour as source springs and mushrooms. It's very handy for cleaning up the server, or for finding corpses lost in the grass.
  10. Can you please provide the server.log of the crash? I'm using a hosted server, so I'm not sure how to find this. What happens is just that the server won't start when I configure christmasmod, but is fine if I delete it.
  11. I'm currently not able to create taxidermy kits on my server that has them non-craftable by anyone but GMs. They just don't show up on my wand's Create list.
  12. Is it possible to make Taxidermy mod configurable so that it requires a very high level of Fine carp skill (I'd set it to 90), and costs money (I'd go with 50 silver)? I'd like to offer this to my players, but I need some way to keep the world from being overrun with them and creating massive lag for those with weaker computers.
  13. We were playing around with this today and came up with some fun "trophy" items using taxidermy. Here is a dragon at 2x normal size, a little something fun to drive your cart through on the bridges: It also turns out pretty nicely to make a 1/4 sized creature and paint it gold, as a trophy from a hunt:
  14. It would be so wonderful if NPCs would still function as NPCs in every way (i.e. we can dress them and set missions on them) but they would not move around and NOT TALK anymore. EDIT - well, moving around on the tile they are spawned on might be okay, but not just keep wandering.

  16. The 0.32.2 config file for christmasmod causes my server to crash. It is not possible to remove the # signs from any of the years before 2018, either. I know I have no need to do so, but I thought it might be a clue about what's going wrong? When I leave everything else the same, but just remove christmasmod, my server runs smoothly.
  17. Oh for goodness sake. I figured out what I was doing wrong with my taxidermy. I had set the properties so that only GMs could make them, but then was trying to set data on regular corpses. Also, I had somehow missed the line about taxidermy kits (on my LAN server where these are craftable.)
  18. I have messed something up, but I don't know what. I summoned a worg, turned it into a "trophy" using taxidermy. Then I played around with his size and everything was working fine. I tried turning it into a mission, where an Examine action on it returns a meatball, but the mission wouldn't work. I deleted the mission, trigger, and trigger effect, the deleted the worg trophy using the ebony wand. I summoned a dog, next, and tried to turn it into a trophy. It just ended up being a corpse on the ground. I tried several other creatures (another dog without the creaturemod colouring, a zebra, a black drake hatchling, and another worg). None of them show up as an animated trophy anymore. So I deleted the taxidermy mod, patched, reinstalled the mod, patched again, and...still not working. Did I mess something up by trying to create a mission out of the first worg? Any ideas what happened and how I can fix it? This was on my LAN server, thank goodness, and not my public one.
  19. What a great, fun mod! Would you please explain what you mean by "lowest byte" and "second byte"? Maybe you could show me an example - would there be a comma between two different numbers in Data2?

  22. That definitely hasn't been my experience. We have NPCs who have been around for almost a year. It was only these two new ones that I altered in the database that disappeared, and I have no idea why. But NPCs usually don't disappear on restart.
  23. Thanks for your help bigssteve. Would you please remind me how to validate my install? Also, do I need to do anything with the 2 LAN servers that are still working fine and have the latest version?
  24. Do you mean the one that is located at Steam/steamapps/common/Wurm Unlimited Dedicated Server? If so, that is the one I've already tried.
