Lol Fair enough all. I have reached out to who I think owns it. Will give them until I do my next treasure hunt run next weekend. Wanted to get a feel for how people thought it should be handled. But the answer seems to be what I expected.

Heyo! I wanted to see about getting access to the fenced off tree farm for a treasure map!

So I have a map that leads to an off deed walled in tree farm. How are we supposed to get these treasures? It isn't on deed so I guess I could bash a wall but that is kinda rude. Is that my only option?

I have only ever played on Lagadu and Indy. No idea about the NFI but Indy has a ton of great locations free while maintaining a rather active server. I see people traveling around my deed all the time. My merchants keep selling items. And our chat tends to be active without being full of just stupid all the time. I often wonder how it compares to theses NFI newbie friendly ones.

So I slept on it, I've gone ahead and decided to prem up my main character. I have enough gold I can just do the others a year with silver if I decide too later. I appreciate all the positive feed back and am saddened that I'm not alone in how I feel. I did think over why I felt this way to the point an event I am normally kinda excited about, all them marks to play with, became so meh. Again, it all sorta came when I had to go to the new site. I know I know it is just a stupid new logo and style change. I hate it but it isn't a big deal, more so it represents all the negative issues wurm has had recently. The cash shop stuff being so egregious feels like a last effort cash grab of a dying game. Where they try and milk out a little more before shutting down the servers. Yes yes super doom and gloom. Most likely not happening, but it was a fear/worry that has been nagging at me. It is crazy to say that I just hope the new ceo is just super greedy in general. RL issues had me stressed out already and when I started dwelling on my concerns with a game I truly love I guess I just let it get to me. Hopefully I'm just being all emo and none of my fears or founded. I really hope wurm makes some positive progress soon to help wash away all the negative and my concerns. Again, thank you to all my fellow Wurmians for letting me vent and such. You are the best part of Wurm!

Thanks for the responses. I'm actually still on the fence and keep going back and forth. I even went to the shop again thinking I'd just do my main for now and debate the rest before the sale ends. But that damn new site, it is the same as earlier. I actually tried to reprem everyone yesterday. Didn't find the discount, tried again today and then found I had to go to the new site. It was seeing that which caused me to start debating on if I wanted to or not. As for all those saying take a break, I haven't logged in in weeks. Which isn't unusual, I take months long breaks every year. The black friday sale combined with buying a year at a time means I never really worry and can just pop in to play when the mood strikes me. I have goals, canals to be built, terraforming projects, I'm like 2 skill ticks from 100 farming and was making good progress on the last bit for my master cape. I was already taking a break due to RL issues and again I know it is petty and stupid but that new site kinda represents all the negative things in wurm recently. So seeing it made me think on that and started the doubt. I always use the old sites, I haven't been to the new one since the very first time it was shown until today when I was forced to go there if I wanted the discount. I think I'll just sleep on it. Most of my friends long since stopped playing only logging in if we had a special project. Otherwise it was just me using all our characters. The last time any of them were excited about anything in Wurm was the idea of the new goblin camps. I dunno, maybe I just need a snickers. Too grumpy.
