Items inside a building you own can be pushed / turned / picked up by you, even if locked. Items on your inventory can be lockpicked if on your deed / permissions enabled. Planted items on your deed not on building can be pushed away to perimeter if on your deed. Planted items off deed inside a building you own can be pushed / picked up inside your building. All this I have done myself so I know it can be done. If for example you deed a place where a bsb is located and the bsb is full / locked, you cannot pick it up or load it but you can push it even if planted. If the bsb is locked but empty, you can pick it up and lockpick it while in your inventory.

Does this mean that the people who decide to not use steam should be out of the loop? I have been using steam since its release and I have never used their forums. Pretty lame reason to not make a section here.

They have already said multiple times the servers will be completely separate. You cannot go from the old servers to the new ones in any way. If you could start on Independence and take a portal then you could potentially come with your alt and give your new character money. The devs have already said this will not be possible. So that leaves only one option. The characters will start in the new servers from scratch. There used to be Golden Valley, which was the Lobby server and housed the tutorial, but that was since replaced by Haven's Landing in Independence. You can no longer make a new character in Haven's Landing at all. Besides, it would be considered an old server, so that's also a no-go. The way I understood (it was also explained) is that there will be an option to choose if you want to play on the new servers or the old ones. This will take form of either a separate launcher, or a toggle during character creation or before. Maybe that was explained and I missed it, I don't know, but I know for a fact you won't start in Independence. No, you can't. Not how it works. You will need to create a new character for the steam server once it comes out. There is no way to transfer characters/silver/items from the current servers to the steam ones. This.

It looks to me the team is missing out on the hype for the steam version of Wurm by not having a forum section for it. Recruitment, deeds, general banter.... All of that creates hype. With about a month till launch, why don't we have it yet?

Monthly subscription has been reduced already with big bonuses for people who prem more time in advance. Silver price was reduced down to 1s/1e for those who buy 50s or more. Even small silver purchases are much cheaper now in comparison than what Wurm used to charge for silver before the RMT ban. Even trader items costs were reduced to account for not being able to drain them anymore. Deeds costs were reduced with the introduction of the deed upkeep discount for having a trader on deed. Suffice to say they did not only make a statement but they already implemented such changes. Where have you been?

Xanadu's hamster wheel is bigger so the hamster gets tired quicker and has to do more intermittent stops. That's what causes.the lag.

I will put an extra year.of.upkeep on my deeds, pack my stuff and let my main deprem and play exclusively on the steam servers as a priest main, @Etherdrifterstyle. No alts, no imping. Work with my village/kingdom and just live freestyle.

Thank you. I've been swamped working on them. Got 3 Deed Builder's Bundles back to back and got so swamped that I had to turn down others. Its a lot of work. Takes me at least two days full time to make an order and that's if I have mats on hand. Currently restocking now. Its a lot of work, but it motivates me to skill up.

I am positive the merge wont happen until numbers on the servers are abysmal, at which point it would be a good thing to merge. Look at Epic at the moment and tell me a merge wouldn't be a good thing for them? I rather get merged than end up with two other guys logged in on the entire server. Don't lose hope yet, its worth it.
