  1. Given its a 2H Sword, I would say 2.5-3s tops.
  2. Come join us. Fights will be had. Fun times for all!
  3. Have had it happen both ways: either the boat crosses or I do. Happens to me sometimes since I travel quite a lot.
  4. 2.5 Rare Long Bow to Angelklaine if accepted
  5. While heading to Chaos to exchange boats, I accidentally zoned into Celebration while meaning to do Deliverance. I drifted for a few then realized I was in the wrong server. So I set plot course to Xanadu and zoned. I ended up in the water without a boat. Presumably my boat crossed without me. Below are the logs I think might be relevant. I believe its a communication issue between the two servers. This has happened to me a couple of times, and always when I try to cross one server then another in a short period of time. Character Name: Seylene Boat's Name: M/V Bloody Tear
  6. I have played many mmos: Final Fantasy XI, Final Fantasy XIV, WoW, Guild Wars II, EVE Online, Everquest, ESO, SWTOR, and more. All of them brand names. Most of them with huge fan bases, huge communities, their own culture, extensive budgets and so on. However, it was in Wurm the first time I had a one on one conversation with a GM, and a one on one conversation with a developer. Over 20 years gaming and this is the only place I have ever seen a dev hold a public and intelligent discussion with a player. I dont know what world you guys came from, but few if any games out there have devs involved in the community half as much as Budda does here with us. Its not a common occurence, yet here its the norm. ...and yet people say they are not involved and they dont listen to the players? Give me a break. Go back to WoW and see if they listen to you there
  7. Retrograde be like... Bend the knees, retro! Come on! I got my money on you! Must be rough waking up and seeing a thread like this. You must roll your eyes a lot.
  8. Prices will always be whatever people are willing to pay for it. This is especially true for accounts. Oftentimes you see people giving price checks, myself included, on an account, and arguments ensue about how the account is being low balled, how x or y skill is worth more than the PC stated, or how people should pay more for extra premium time. But when its time to sell, no one wants to pay the price and the account goes for a lowballed offer or just doesn't sell. In reality sellers dont set the price: the buyer does. I could sell a knarr for 12 silver and it will go unsold forever until I drop the price to what someone finds worth paying. Unlike in the real world, nothing in Wurm is a necessity, and even a newbie account can craft the basics to skill up. The market can stay stagnant to exclude those that cant afford it, or it will weave its prices to match supply and demand. Thats why a crate of sand wont sell as quickly as a crate of bricks. We can sit around and debate on what something is worth, and how wrong lowering a price is, but ultimately if your buyer things its too high, lowering your price is your only solution. They don't have to buy, after all.
  9. Fair Warning

I told him to eat a bag of ... very mean people. Competition is healthy. Even Nikki has been lowering her prices to match the market to competitive levels. Redreaper has a large stock, and while his prices are not always the best, he has what you need when you need it. Launcelot's prices are stupid cheap. Everyone has their niche. But these well known sellers dont desperately harass you because they want more revenue. These people play the game, not run a for profit business. What bothers me is that the sense of community has become a luxury only close knit groups can afford. We cant live in our own worlds, not caring about those around us. Recently I helped someone recover after getting scammed out of his very last penny. He was about to quit and I got him back. Didnt took much, just a couple spare tools an old boat and some good will, but hes back on his feet now and back in the community. I think we need more of that. People who care. Who go out of their way to play with others.
  10. Vouching for this man. I bought tiles from him before and its so smooth and easy! He sends perfectly measured quantities and has superior customer service, plus a super cheap price. Recommended. Give him a try!
  11. Stop looking at the sheep that way!
  12. They might, and it might drive some people out of business and out of the game: Those who play Wurm only as a revenue stream. But to be honest, I dont think many would cry over those.
  13. Fair Warning

That is true. But thats not my point. I have nothing against people charging for services. Thats the beauty of Wurm, you do whatever you want. Plus the great economy this game has is a nice touch. Nothing wrong with someone asking for silver for their time. What bothers me is those self proclaimed critics who love to call names to the "PVPers" calling them thieves for penning a dragon or an unique, then turn around and gouge their fellow Freedomers with crazy prices for enchanting grass tiles, or a mailbox. People live spread out doing their own thing, then give you the eye when you donate 10k dirt to your neighbor. Hell, I got hate from another dude because I was selling dirt at 70c/1k at one time, because I was "ruining the market." Then I go to Chaos, and theres a bsb with 5k 80ql iron lumps for me to use whenever I want, courtesy of my pmk. I am not taking jabs at anyone. There are great communities out there: The Amish guys and thr Shadowfly communities for example are great people. A shout for the Celebration Misfits as well. But its been my experience no one will take a 10 minute ride to drop an altar for you , unless you give them silver in return. So sad.
  14. Please close. I am done for now. Those with outstanding deals pending will still be honored. Will post again once I am buying.

This. The sense of community is ever present. Even the MR guys who returned to Freedom. If I ask for someome to imp a weapon for me, they get it to 90 and then laugh when I ask how much. Its the sense of community, of people who put their minds less into profit and more into having fun. I can't help but think that its a product of the monetization of the game: Each action = 10i. Its so engrained into the Freedomer's mentality that very few people would even consider giving an enchanted tool away, or sailing to a fellow Wurmian to enchant their mailbox. It goes so far that players would scoff at any development change that hurts their profit margins. It goes so far that even developers quantify PVP losses as having monetary value. This is a game. Its virtual currency. Its not supposed to be someone's job. Where has the sense of community in Freedom gone?
  16. If you want super flat areas, I would recommend Celebration. But its a bit low on the populated side.
  17. Exquisite Shoulder Pad, Leather Left Elaborate Shoulder Pad, Leather Right Elaborate Shoulder Pad, Leather CoD Angelklaine, Please.
  18. There is a bit of lag but not too much where I am. Its why I choose it. My thought is exactly that: seems like a sync problem. I will test it some when I go back.
  19. Already did say I was inside a house sleeping on a canopy bed. It hasnt happened again yet. I will test it some and if I get another beating I will report here.
  20. Thats it! I'm fed up with this lag! I disbanded my deed and packed up my stuff and I am now moving out of North Xanadu!!!! ...to South Xanadu...
  21. I'll make the rowboat. Just need a dredge yes. I'll pm you once the rowboat is made
