  1. +1 I shouldnt be the same as players, but a limit would be nice. Seeing my horse climb a 300 slope dirtwall always makes me cringe.
  2. You can set permissions individually per player, which is pretty much what you are suggesting. That is not the issue. The issue is we NEED to have those items accesible by everyone because its just the way PMKs operate. If TC rolls over with Catapults and Battering rams, and the only two guys on deed dont have access to the bsb with the bricks, they wont be able to defend. The nature of Chaos requires a lot of trust in your team. You cant do anything in Chaos without a team backing you. Its just the way it is.
  3. I never said that its our fault that he is a scumbag. We are responsible for trusting him though, which taught us a lesson in this matter. There is no one to blame here but him for stealing, and us for being too nice. Its a shame, given now other legit players will be affected for his actions. Now we just wont take anyone that rolls off the boat. Its a shame, really, but the risk is too great. New players will find more and more doors locked to them, as I am sure other kingdoms will tighten their belts as well due to our experience.
  4. Not quite true. Many people make money hunting. 2 main things help you make money here: 1) Bulk animal products sale: You can bulk sell things like Meats, paws, pelts, furs, horns, bladders, etc. Many people buy this in bulk to level skills like natural substances and cooking (panfillers would love you for cheap meats). You also get the occasional moment of inspiration which will def. more than cover the costs of gear repair. Stuff doesnt move as much, but it moves. Like anything else, quality here matters. 2) Unique hunting: Find Uniques and track them down. Trap them and get a team to kill them. This is where the big bucks are. Hunting down uniques can be fun, and its a worthwhile group experience. Another perk to this profession is finding long disbanded abandoned deeds and looting. Its like exploring ruins and can be quite fun in places like Xanadu. Other things can be finding champion animals and selling them. Some people will.pay for those as well.

  13. As a kingdom, we know and understand the staff's position in the matter. Some of us agree while some of us don't, but as a kingdom we accept it. We know no rules were broken and no action will be taken. As much as we would like assistance in the matter we realize its not the staff's fault. It is our fault for trusting. This thread is not about resolution. We are not asking for action nor are we expecting any. This thread is to let the community know what kind of person this man is and what to expect, and for them to know they are buying stolen goods if they buy from him. Contrary to popular belief, the Chaos community cares. We are not just Chaos players, we are Wurmians. Things will take their course. We will recover. We will imp more plate, make more horse gear, win more hotas. We will replace what was lost and go on. We will continue to have fun with our friends in TC, DD, Ebo, JK and WU. But we wont forget this. Things will change in Pandas so this dont happen again.

  15. I am impressed at the amount of support the Chaos community gave us. That was unexpected to say the least. Thank you guys for all the good intentions and your support. It further cements my argument that the Chaos people are a community worthy of envy.

  20. I agree with Pedro. Even though it hurts we lost so much, including personal items, it was our own fault for trusting someone with deed permissions. Lesson learned. We share with the community in hopes no one else falls for his ruse.

Details: Stole a large amount of Kingdom owned items, stole hota statues, killed countless horses and stole the gear off them, cleaned out other player's chests. Took everything not nailed down. Is currently attempting to sell stolen items. Do not buy.

  23. To add to what Eva said, he killed a lot of our horses to get the gear off and looted the chests of other members who live in unsecured areas (Public motel). The damage to the kingdom was not purely monetary, but he killed our horses, severely limiting our ability to move. We are still tallying what all he stole, and I am sure much more will be revealed. We brought this upon ourselves by trying to do good for a returning player. As soon as he joined, everyone rushed to his help and support. We set him up with gear, I gave him a free boat and we set him up with everything he could possibly could. This is how he repayed us. Beware this person. He is a thief and a liar. Do not let this person into your confidence.
  24. Just a heads up. This person just up and robbed us on our Chaos capital deed. We are still tallying damages and a post will be upcoming. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up to not trust this person. Be careful.
  25. The operational cost of keeping a server running is insignificant. Why would they not keep it running? The continued argument that x, y or z server should be shut down baffles me. I suppose people think residents of that server will spread around the remaining server, but rest assured that wont be the case. The strongest selling point of Wurm is that you are able to create a lasting mark in the world. Take that away and you will ene up with yet another WoW. Why play this game if my efforts will be erased at developer's whim?
